Making a key decision now for our kids, it's religion decision time, you know...and I'm not bringing em up Catholic. I've made that decision. Boy, because I was raised Catholic, and NOO WAY! Uh-uh! Nope! Know what? I can't bring up my kids in a church whose authority system is entirely based on the size of friggin' hats, okay? That's apparently how the Catholic church is run. The bigger the hat, the more important the guy, right? Priests have no hats, cardinals have those little red beanies, the pope has a collection of big hats...God must have a huge friggin' sombrero up there in heaven! "Look at me, I'm GOD! Look at the size of my hat, who else would I be?" I don't know, lead singer of Los Lobos?

James,

At least they did not say that maybe it was the installer! ;)

They also could have said that it was transported there rather than docked!!!

Seriously though... I can understand the anger and frustration... I bet they could not wait for you to leave the house to go play in your man cave!
No, that didnt happen to me! I wouldve wore my belt out on some behinds if that was me!

Dennis leary on again today?
How could you tell???

No more painting until after the carpet is installed tomorrow. Then I think we'll take a week or so off and tackle the mudroom and the bathroom next. Question, how does one paint a bathroom with the fixtures installed? I guess we have to remove the toilet and sink basin so we can paint behind them. Ugh. Lenny is going to LOVE this.

LOL James. I was freaking out until I got to the kid named Jack.

mini break time. The grass here at hut 2 is about a foot tall. Where are all the kids looking for summer jobs?

That is all.
Im right here! But my lawn mower is still broked. I need a trailer and an afternoon off to get it to the repair shop. Poor pitiful Mrs E cuts the grass every day. Three passes a day. By the time she gets a whole yard cut, it needs it again. But it looks great in strips... and stair stepped... She calls it "art".

Duh.

Exactly!
Denis Leary is the awesome of funny. At least... He used to be. I dont even know if he does stand up any more.

The toilet really isnt that bad. Just make sure you turn the water off before you remove it. :D

And get as much of the old wax ring up as you can, replace it with a new wax ring.

I cant vouch for the sink. Ive had some that were beyond easy, and others that almost ripped the whole wall down when I "removed" it. I call it removal. Mrs E calls it demoltion.

Another give away that it wasnt really me is the "5.1" surround sound. Ive wired the mancave with 7.1. Of course Im not allowed to use it when anyone else is home.... :glare:

Sallie, I never remove the toilet to paint behind it. Go to Home Depot, they have teeny tiny roller sets. Just tape a paint stir stick to the handle and you can paint behind it no problem. Much easier that way.

Brilliant! We use the teeny tiny roller sets for cutting, we go over the brush strokes. The only people who can make a paint brush paint well is a professional painter armed with a $15 brush. In my humble opinion, anyway. :)

Wow, just wow and OMG YUM YUM YUM! This is fantastic FV, and I'll bet with just a little steeping it's going to be phenomenally fantastic. Thanks for the very generous tester, I'm going to be through this in no time flat. :)
Yes, I am extremely appreciative of the generous tester! Tonight I'll be cleaning out my Zenesis and loading up with cheesecake! :):):)

Those were the days my friend we though they'd never end. We'd sing and laugh forever and a day.....and be skinny forever....
We'd live the life we'd choose, we'd fight and never lose, for we were young and sure to have our way! <everybody now!> la la la la la la.... :):):)

They were all run out of business by the guys with the lawn service trailers. :( I haven't had a kid come to the door offering to cut the grass in years!

Another reason my boys are so awesome: a couple years ago I went on a road trip/bike vacation with a few friends (to Asheville NC, wonderful place!). I made my usual check in call to make sure all was well, and was told the boys were painting my bathroom! 8-o I wasn't sure whether to be thrilled or terrified! But when I got home, they actually had done a really nice job. :):):)

Oh, and we have tile behind the sink and potty, so that solved that problem!

I'm not sure about stand up but his twitter feed can be pretty funny.
Oh boy, another one to add to my list! :):):)

Only 6pm and I can go home! Only two hours late today! Whoo hoo!!!

Awesome James... I am hitting the door only 45 minutes late myself and no 2nd job tonight!
Of course... the 45 minutes I came in late may have something to do with leaving late... got to love it when they require you to show up in person at the JP office to become eligible for defensive driving! :(

G'night all,, and Bliss let us know how it went when you get back online! :)
