Has anyone ever used your PV in a non-smoking hotel room? I hate getting up and having to go to out of the room so early in the morning. We always get non-smoking rooms, cuz they are smelly.

I use mine all the time in non smoking rooms. I haven't been nailed yet. I just tuck it out of sight for room service and put the chargers and such in the hotel safe in the morning so no snoopy maids can rat me out.

Same here. I vaped in the elevators of hotels and at the restaurants while traveling. I have had people ask me what it is, but no one has ever told me that I could not vape. Except for the girl with the extremely limited english at a Starbucks that kept telling me NO SMOKE HERE!!! She didn't understand what I was telling her, and a manager never told me to stop. So I kept vaping.

Oh, the colored tanks are fatter than the clears. I have an amber and it is wider than a provari. Still nice, but I am afraid it might tip so I don't leave it standing. As to the heights, I think the XL fits the XL boge, but have no idea what fits in the tall boy.

Back to checking on peeps. Can't tell who is what breed yet, and none of them looks like SP chicks. :glare:

Tried the tank again, FAIL! I saw a video on it once and can't find it again. So the carto is filled. Do I screw the carto onto the provari and then put the tank on and fill the tank. It seems that I'm not able to screw the carto in with the tank attached to it. BTW - internet or the site is acting really weird!

Hey Janie, here is a video on how to fill a j tank. It's basically the same as the smoketech tanks, so hopefully this will help: J Tank Filling - YouTube

I'm thinking maybe you have the carto too high up in the tank if you can't screw it on your ProVari once the tank is filled. I never put a tank over top a carto to fill once the carto is on my mod, because putting the tank together after normally pushes *some* juice in the carto and can cause the juice to flow over the top of the filler and down into the center tube and if there is enough pressure down into your mod. HIGHLY unlikely event with a ProVari, but it's always good to develop good habits early on.

It might help if you could take a picture for us of what the carto and tank look like all put together so we figure out why you can't get it screwed onto your ProVari. Unless you mean it's too slippery. In that case, I hold the the drip tip and use that to screw it onto my ProVari. You'll need a kind of tight tip though so that doesn't slip and slide around. One thing to note though, the carto doesn't have to be screwed on super tight, just tight enough to make contact with the flat pin in the center of the 510 connector on the ProVari.

You should be able to slip the carto right in the tank without having it on your provari. Once its in, push carto to just about the top, and you should be able to drip juice straight down the side of the carto into the tank. Don't fill it all the way to the top, leave some air in it. Then push the car to through the top, just enough for your threads to show at the bottom.

Reasons for not being able to screw the carto on may be from:

Too much juice on the o-ring.
O-rings not big enough.
Carto too small for o-rings.

Hope this helps.

So, the cc tank will also be my first Phiniac...I am now using the 3.0 XL Boges....Should I get the tall boy or XL> What's the difference?

Also, what color is everyone getting? I kinda like both the clear and the Black. Although I don't know if the black will show the liquid level, which I think I will want to know. What are your thoughts? Anyone have a black one? Does it show through? Do you have any suggestions?

I'm excited for my step to a Phiniac!:2cool:
I tried to get a color and it said they were all unavailable except clear. :(

Sallie's instructions are great! One thing I would add - after you have your tank filled and the top cap on, let it sit for a little bit before trying to screw it on your Provari. It might be my imagination, but I think the o-rings swell up just a little bit from the juice, and it makes them fit a little tighter. I also hold the drip tip to screw my tanks onto my Provari, it keeps me from pushing down on the tank and having it slide off the carto.

I've never had an issue with my tank slipping around... I use Big Daddy tanks though, and they are a bit tight...

Thanks! This time, it leaked onto my provari, it gurgled, no vaper. The carto slips in the tank, so maybe I pressed the carto down when I screwed it in and that caused leakage. It looks right when I'm done filling. I'm burning through the small cartos fast with the provari, so I thought I should start using the tank, until I get bigger cartos.

I can do clear...except, what I'm still not sold on the size...What's the best one for XL Boges...I want it to be perfect for my first experience! :)

Sounds like the tank is too loose on the carto and isn't creating the proper vacuum. What kind of tank are you using?

There is a learning curve for sure Janie. I gave my first couple of tanks away because I couldn't get the hang of it, but they were pretty new at the time and there wasn't a ton of help to be had. Don't worry, we'll get you fixed up. If you're punching the holes yourself, just make sure you're not punching too deep and puncturing that inner tube. You'll get leaking for sure that way. Also, could be your holes are too big around. I know, I know, all these rules! :glare: Once you get the hang of a tank though, it's just pure vaping heaven, so it's worth it to hang on. You can go a day or more on one tank, zero fussing. When the tank is empty, just pop off the top and fill again and you're good for another day.

I got the clear XL one, and I use XL boges. It stated to get the XL for the Resurrecters...and the boge xl's are pretty much the same size.

Awesome guys, thanks. I am going to get the XL one...most liquid held, anyways :). That resurrector pic with the XL sure helped...I saw their carto/tank page, but they didn't list the XL, only the ressurector. I should try those sometime, btw. I hear good things. But, I am just getting into the boges. One thing at a time. :)
