Evening Posse! I made it home finally! It wasn't as bad as last time I had to close, two of the guys helped immensely! One set up the dispatch containers and the other helped me with the deposit paperwork. After that, it was a breeze! If I did it more often, I would remember how!

I'm totally thinking about making some pulled pork now! Maybe later tonight when it cools down a bit. :)

Just remember that the wine is for the cook not for the food! ;)

Unless someone else wanders into the kitchen... then it goes on the food so you can tell them not to waste it by drinking it before pouring another when they leave!

This night was about as far from the plan as it couldve gotten. Just before our first guests arrived, I went to the back yard and checked on the water in the kiddie pool. It was as hot as bath water, and most of it had been splashed out. So, I figured the smart thing to do was to add more water to not only fill it back up, but to cool it down as well. When I went back to turn the hose off, it wouldnt turn off. So I went to Lowes and bought a new spigot. Naturally, I got a threaded but had to have a solder. Mrs E went to go get the right one while I started cooking as our first guests arrived. All the while, since our house is so awesome, we had to shut ALL the water off since the spigot didnt have its own cutoff valve. While taking off the valve, the joint inside the house popped lose before the valve. No problem, I solder the spigot back on with no real issues. Putting the joint that was inside back together, has proved to be more difficult. After my best attempts, there are still two leaks that I just cant reach. So, the water has been off through the entire cookout. Beer and many many guests is a bad thing when you cant flush any toilets. Right now, we still have the water turned off, but I can turn it on just long enough for showers and such in the morning. Gonna make another trip to Lowes in the morning and try a few more things to to seal the solder. With any luck, I wont have to call a plumber for a 5 minute job.

And with that, I go to bed. Im friggin' exhausted.

I'm envious of the guests as your culinary skills are obviously superb!

If someone was at my house and upset me that much though, then I would ask them whether or not they planned on staying... and if they said yes then I would tell them it would depend on whether or not they can behave!

Can you tell that I seldom have company that I do not want? ;)

Have fun James! Be sure to point some fireworks at your wife's aunt!
Actually, I think my exact words were: "Shut your mouth or leave." She didnt say anything else to me all night. It was wonderful.

I'm sorry to hear about the water James... that can not be fun or something that you wanted to happen. At least there is plenty of food and fireworks right? :D

And the wife's aunt did not speak to you again... so there are some positives! :D

Good Morning Posse!

Hope everyone is well. Stretchy how is the puppy?
James, sorry to hear about your party, but I hope you still had a good time.
I know I have missed other things but I haven't been able to stay caught up. We were hit by that storm that went through and were without power :(
Thankfully we did not sustain any damage, but not everyone was so lucky. It came through so fast it was crazy.
Have a great Sunday everyone. I am headed to the river!

Sounds great so far.:lol::lol::lol:
Good morning everyone!

So, last night Mrs E went to a bar to supprt a friend. She got home a little after 2. So, while talking to her, I realized that she was straining to talk. She was screaming so much last night she had started to lose her voice. This morning, she can hardly talk. Now, I know most guys would be saying "Thats awesome, now you dont have to listen to her nag!" But no, my friends.... That is just not how it works. Ive already been slapped twice today for something. Im not sure what, exactly, but Im sure it was my fault... :glare:

If y'all will excuse me, I must go shovel poop out of the front and back yards so kids can enjoy a birthday party without worrying about that kind of "fun".

The prize committee for Publisher's Clearing House rang your doorbell....An Airplane crashed landed in your front yard..
Your Poltergeist is an early riser. The realtor for the house next door mistakenly came to your house with clients. An elephant stampede in your backyard. There really is a Santa Claus and he really does come down the Chimney? That's all I got. Was it something else??
