Just spent the last few hours working on the boat. Got the windshield put on and one whole hand rail. Before I got the boat, the guy I got it from had stripped every thing off of the boat. EVERYTHING. Though he had gotten some of it put back together, most of it was just laying in the bottom of the boat when I brought it home. And that included one singularly large plastic bag of every screw, nut, and bolt from everything that had come off the boat. It took me more time to sort through all the hardware than it did to put the windshield and hand rail up. And of course, you have to reach through the hull of the boat to get the nuts onto the bolts. And the 100 degree weather makes it SO much fun! But its starting to look more like a boat now, and not just a hull! However, I do think my goal of getting it in the water by the end of this summer MAY have been just a BIT optimistic... Just a bit.

Boat sounds like lots of fun. Not the fixing it but using it does. Good luck getting it fixed up.

Tree Frogs in Maine? Really??

I love tree frogs! I haven't seen any yet this year. We most certainly had a toad or two the other night. Not that I saw it, but Grimm's constant stream of drool for 3 hours straight was a pretty good clue that he decided to take a taste of one.

Whoa, quiet in here today! It's 95F on my back porch in the shade, airport temp of 100F. Work was slow except for passports.

Now for the good stuff... guess who I get to babysit overnight??? Apollo!!! Poor little guy, he's curious about the cats and they've already attacked him 3 times. He's adorable, and a real snuggler! I think Ian is going to have to fight me to get him back!

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good day and stayed inside in the AC where it is nice and cool. It was about 100 degrees here today, yuck! I worked this morning again and then headed to the grocery store. Once I got home I layed down on the bed to talk to my hubby for a few minutes (we have a window ac unit in the bedroom so it is nice and cool back there). Well, I ended up falling asleep for four hours. Didn't intend to cause I had housework to get done but I can always do it tomorrow. I only slept about 3 hours last night since I daughter couldn't sleep so I was up with her.

Came home to some vape mail today. My vivi nova came, yay! I already have one and liked it so ordered another one. Time to order some juice soon so I'll be heading over to the site soon FV. Which one of the tobacco flavors has a sweet taste to it? That's what I want.

Well, gotta run for now. My pizza is beeping.

I'm not sure. They just got him a week or 2 ago. I was at work when Ian brought him over for introductions, so this was the first I saw him.

He's not much of a guard dog yet. Ian left me the key to his house and I stopped to pick up Apollo on the way home from work. He never even barked! Just wagged his entire back end and followed me all over while I was trying to find his leash.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. But it really is starting to come together. Theres one more rail, the ski ladder, affixing all of the upholsetery, getting the carpet layed down, reattaching the gas filler tube, all of the wood trim pieces, then I get to start tinkering with the engine. Thankfully, its got less than 200 hours on it since its rebuild, but its been sitting and hasnt been ran for about 3 or four years. Then of course, I may need to consider getting wheels and tires for the trailer... and lights... lights would be good for the trailer.... need some lights... And a boat cover. That would be nice. To cover the boat.

Ive always wanted a boat, but it was never in the credit....er...cards. But I couldnt turn down the price of free. Even though its going to take a lot of work to get it together. It will just make it that much more enjoyable when we get it on the water.

As for the tobacco juice, just get the sampler. It has House, Twisted, VooDoo, and Voo's Broo. All for $16! Except its listed as out of stock. But Im betting you can ask the boss lady about it.

Thats not funny. I literally burned my fingers and hands on the boat's hardware today. It was just that hot. I finally pretended to be smart and hosed everything down to cool it all off.

I was gonna cook too but woke up too late. I ended up fixing the kids a chicken pot pie and hubby and I are eating a frozen pizza. Truthfully it is just too hot to cook. By the time I finish cooking I'm so hot I don't feel like eating it.

I placed the order as soon as I came inf from working on the boat. I was drenched. And I wasnt about to sit in front of a stove with three burners going. bleh. So I just took a cold shower while the pizza was on the way.
