Is it hard to groom a pom? When should I start taking her to be groomed? She doesn't seem to be shedding. Does their fur come out in clumps? Never had a Pom before.
Eweeeee snakes and a broom. Sounds like a fairy tale...

Hi everyone. Hope you all had a great day! I worked today. Groomed a westie and did a deshed and trim up on a Pomeranian. Went grocery shopping after that. Spent way too much money but when you have a 15 year old boy in the house your grocery budget goes out the window.

Pulled into the driveway to be greeted by a snake  . I called hubby from the driveway on my cell phone and told him to come out and take care of it before I got out of the truck. 5 minutes later he comes out (seems he had to put on his snake boots first). He was armed with a BROOM!! He could have brought an ax or shovel, but no, he brings a broom. WTH is he gonna do with that? Sweep it to death? Anyway, by the time he got out there it had slithered off to god knows where. We have a lot of copperheads around here. Yuck!! I killed one last year in the driveway by running over it numerous times with the truck. Thought that thing would never die.

Just finished cooking supper. Taco salads. Now that I cooked it I'm not wanting any. It's soooo hot! There's nothing on tv right now obviously since hubby is watching Robin Hood, Men in Tights. Later he said we get the pleasure of watching Three Stooges on pay per view. Yay, I can't wait :glare: .

I got my ovale v8 and my new tank in. It's really cool. I'll post a pic later.

Evening! We had chinese take out for dinner last night. Tonight we are having home made oriental salad with chicken.

Thanks for the book ideas, I will try the Kindle low to high price thing tonight.

So....I write articles and am going write one on vaping (no title yet). I would like permission from any posse members to use pictures they have posted of their PV's. If you are interested in letting me use your pictures, please PM me. I always give credit to the photographer, so if you want credit with your picture, please let me know. Once the article is written I will let you know. It takes me a few days to research and write. If you have a personal story on how vaping has changed your life you can also pm me. Once the article is done, I will post that its done and you can again PM me for the link.

No, it's not hard to groom a pom. If you're not going to groom her yourself, I'd start taking her when she's about 4 months old or so just so she can get used to it. She may not be shedding right now if she still has puppy hair. DO try to keep it brushed out though cause it can still get matted. Yes, little hairballs come out when they shed. To brush her to keep from getting mats, use what they call a slicker brush (walmart and petsmart have them.) Start at the back end of the body, pull a section of the hair up and then brush the hair down little by little from that section of hair you have pulled up. This way you brush at the skin (not on the skin), which is where the hair is going to mat and the shedding and dead hair will come out. This is called backbrushing if you want to google it to see if you can find a pic that explains it better. A good thing to do when you bathe her is to wash her real good with shampoo first (you can use diluted dawn if there are fleas), then use a diluted conditioner and rub it into the root of the hair. Before you rinse it out, use a rake (also at petsmart or walmart) to comb through the hair. Rinse really good then brush her out before and after she dries using the method I explained above. This should keep her from getting matted and keep shedding to a minimum. Hope this helps.

Oh it does help. She's so stinkin small I'm afraid I'll hurt her.I give her a bath every Friday.By Friday she needs it. I crate her at night. If she wets then the whole crate gets washed but I'm afraid to bathe her more than once a week. I'm afraid her skin will dry out. Thanks for all the information.I was not brushing correctly.

You are correct, bathing too frequently can dry out her skin. It's not that hard once you get the hang of it. I recommend oatmeal shampoo, mild conditioner, and baby shampoo, diluted dawn (to be followed with a regular shampoo) for fleas. Have fun!

Got to Lowes. I was right. They did mess up on the discounts. After all was said and done, I got the $699 washing machine for $697 with the $110 service plan included. All in all, not too bad.

Naturally, we spent way too much money at Walmart. But we have been putting off big food shipping for months now. What really makes me sick is knowing that we didnt get any meat this trip.

I went to Harbor Freight yesterday, have fun! :)
I would spend my mortgage in Harbor Freight. That place is evil! But so awesome!

Did someone say nap???
Indeed I did! Got about two hours. I had a dream about baby chickens. They were the size of green peas for some reason.

Then I got woken up to "JAMES! YOUR DOGS ARE GONE!!!" Apparently, a neighbor went on vacation and left their beagle mix penned up. Dont the know beagles are roamers?!? Anyway, he came close enough to me to grab his collar. I called the guy and they got in touch with the guy taking care of him while they were out of town.

Not your fault.

Finding shoes and heading out for Chinese. I believe James gets the blame for it this time.
You can only blame me for saying it here. It was Mrs E's fault I had to go get it.

I'm beyond full. I had some General Tso's chicken delivered. :)
I loves me some General Tso's! I still have leftovers in the fridge!

So I am watching the greatest western movie ever made.
The Magnificent Seven
I used to play the theme song of that show. Middle school pep band was the coolest. :glare:

Snake story = funny. I had one on the truck no too long ago. He hitchhiked all over town with me and my daughter that day. I had to duct tape a bungee cord to a stick to pick it up.

I recorded Men in Tights!!!

Thats cool! I doubt you would use any of my craptastic mods (My LT rocks though!), but you are more than welcome to, and I dont care if you put my name in the credits for the pic.

That tacos salad didn't taste near as good as I'd hoped. Should have gotten chinese.

Sent from my HTC EVO on Taptalk.
Cheese does make everything better!

Finally back from Chinese food and grocery shopping afterwards. Funny how nothing looks good in the store when you are stuffed. My food bill was not bad, stuck to the list and got the heck out. No one was harmed in the purchasing of those products.... I didn't even have to give anyone the burning eye of death.

Snakes??? I don't mind most, but poisonous, no thanks. We had a timber rattler next to the fence awhile back. Sure made me step back fast. I watch where I walk now. I'll have to remember to tell you the snake babysitting story, or did I already??? Tired, too much fresh air and good food today.

Nice! Two buckeye burls. Okay, the tall one looks like a VV bottom feeder, correct? And the small one is a VV mini? I'm not sure I'm ready for a bottom feeder, I'm not real sure how and what they do. You just use an atomizer alone and it feeds it through the bottom hole in the atty? Push the plunger and squirt it up in there? Either way give me first crack at them. I'm sure I'll buy one of them. Gonna do some research about bottom feeders so I know what I'm getting into.

I have these.
3 are vv. The tall one has never been used. Not a drop of juice has crossed it's path.I put the carto on for picture taking only.

Morning posse.

Spicy, you could put a tank on them, but you'd have to buy an adapter to make it over the drip cup. No problem though, they sell them cheap and that's how I used my bottom feeders until I sold them.

YAY! It's Sunday morning! Xe is going on to the next babysitter! Woohoo! I thought Zach, Simon and Grimm had run away from home this morning. I was playing frisbee with Xe and next thing I know I turn around and all three of mine were gone. Vanished. I guess they decided to sneak off into the wood for a walk without the rug rat following them. Smart dogs.

Morning everyone!

LOL, no border collie in your immediate future Sallie?

OMG NO! He is a very sweet dog, but he makes my wacky weims look like couch potatoes, or maybe I've just been able to forget what puppies are like. When he finally laid down on the couch yesterday afternoon for a nap I wanted to get up and dance a jig, but I was afraid to even breathe for fear it would wake him up.
