Wow. Someone got one heck of a deal!!!

Mighty fine display stand you have for that PV!

Yeah, hehe, can't show how SEARING hot it was in the garage while working on it. Think is was 93 outside, but garage (IN the shade) was hotter. I think I'm going to put my foot down, and NOT going to be mowing the entire neighborhood, as when something happens to MY rider, no one can be found. :O

Yes, I was very happy with the green and yellow PV stand. Although it doesn't have the sexy appeal of the wooden ones I've seen posted here, it works very well.

At least you have one... My red one (TroyBilt) broke a valve spring a few months back. It wouldve cost more to fix it that it was worth. So, we've been push mowing our 3/4 acre.

Hubby uses a push mower too. We have about the same amount of land here. I'm sure he wishes he had a riding mower but it wouldn't work in part of our yard. We have a really steep hill on the side of the house that ends in a creek. We call it the hill of death. If we had a riding mower I might get out there and cut the grass too but I've tried the push mower and can barely make it through the front yard before I feel like I'm dying.

Ironically I started out with a Troy, but the deck couldn't be leveled, and for the premium price and model it was, I had to give Lowe's a piece of my mind. As I was shopping around, I kept watching all my neighbors having constant problems, and breakdowns on theirs, and decided I didn't want to be dealing with that. Tractors/riders are one of the most breakdown prone yard machines, so although I didn't want to spend the $$$$ went to a local JD dealer, who turned out to be very low pressure, honest, and a father/son team, which is rare on the upper east coast (all we have a box stores). Got the first one home, and it turned out to be too light duty for my yard, and honoring the JD guarantee, brought it back, and upped it and never looked back.

I feel your pain in having one, then NOT having one. I know I used to push mine for 10 years, @ 3 hours a mow, and finally gave up (and got a tractor), and can't complain for the amount of hours I have on it, AND having to cut, cut, cut everyone's yard while they didn't fix THEIR riders, lol, only having one belt go, not bad.

Some people might think Im mean for it, but thats one reason I make Mrs E cut the grass. I dont do it to be mean. I dont do it because Im lazy. (ok, not JUST because Im lazy). But mainly because it is a great work out that will keep you heart rate up for two hours or so. You can burn roughly 1000 Calories on just the front yard.

I hope ALL of the Posse members in the NE are going to be safe.... Its going to come close to us, but it looks like a tropical not depression is going to keep the worst of it pushed to the west.

Well we have something in common (kinda). I would like to MOVE to TX, and DO have a TRH up here. :)

The only one I know of is on Rt 40 just past where 13 splits off. Apparently there's one up Drott's way, but that's probably a lot farther from me.:)

We just had a small storm pass through, dropped a little rain and cooled things off nicely. I do still hear some thunder in the distance though. <reaching for flashlight, keeping it close>
