Hi everyone!

Jake is ok. The vet said it did not look like cancer. He is limping around looking pitiful with his green bandage wrap on his leg. Of course looking sad makes me feel guilty, so he's limping quickly towards the treat jar. That's my boy.

Thanks to everyone for the good thoughts and prayers, it worked! He's going to be ok!

Mr. V made me swear that I would NOT log on for the days off. Got jittery, missed my posse family.

Releived.Good to hear Jakes doing well.I bet Jakes handsome in GREEN.

Hope francis is better soon. Sucks when out furbabies are sick.

Hope everyone's doing well, fell behind about a day and half, and with the forums running very slow, VERY painful to even LIKE, let alone catch up or post.

One of our cats threw us a curve ball and this morning wife found him laying, almost motionless on front door mat, something wasn't right. I leave very early in the morning, didn't see anything. She panic called me, thought he was dead. We have no children, so our cats ARE our babies, and I was 2 hours away, and powerless. Very bad feeling. The cat Francis has an issue with crystals in his urine, so special (always the highest priced food, go figure) PH food. The problem is if the crystal start to build up, they can block urine flow, and the bladder just keeps expanding until (you fill in the blank). Luckily she saw him, called multiple vets, and only ONE could take emergency walk in. He seemed to be almost totally gone, and the "new" employee basically either wanted a $900.00 deposit, or to talk about euthanasia. Not a people person to say the least.

Well 900.00 dollars later, cat is sedated, cathodized, and they were able to release some urine. Now he's got to stay there for at least 48 hours, while they watch, and we get racked up for the night stays (which is fine), but painful for cash strapped folks like us.

Waiting for a call now, to see if x-rays showed anything, so not much posting here. Like to everyone, and out to SP, I FINALLY have some PIE in my Phiniac. Fresh carto, clean tank, full, big battery, and I'm going out to the pool to contemplate how I'm going to handle Francis's medical situation. Thus far, I have to say the PIE is DELISH.

Is there a body in the bottle wearing the collar?

Actually, yes. Or rather the ashes of our first dog, Sparky. He was a cairn terrier. :)

So glad Jake is ok!

Session, sorry to hear about your cat. I hope he gets better quickly!

I have a massive headache so I'm going to bed. I'll catch up tomorrow. Have a good night everyone.

Well, the neighbor never came home. So I ended up mowing the yard with our push mower. Mrs E kept saying (in the natural nagging voice only women can do) "Ive been push mowing the yard all summer, it wont kill you to do it once." So, I got out the mower... no oil in it. Great... She had to have been one more cut away from seizing the motor up. Started cutting the back yard, and I soon realized how much lawn she wasnt cutting. She got the open and flat area pretty consistently, but the woodline on the edges of the property had grown into the yard nearly five feet. We have a depression at the back side of our land, maybe a 30ft by 50ft that hasnt been mowed all year. Now I know where Charli was picking up those velcro seeds. It took me an hour and a half just to cut the back yard. When I brought all of this to her attention, I got the infamous eye roll and a "whatever" reply.

By then, I had just enough time to change clothes, refresh the coat of deodorant, and take Kat to practice. I was able to help out on the field today. The more I see of the talent level of this girls this season, and the more I am starting to pick up on the difference of rules, the more I am really starting to second guess wanting to coach in the spring. Not that I dont WANT to coach, but I am starting to feel like I would be a detriment to the girls if I were to try it.

When you finish, mine could use some work.:D

Nope. I still have a shaggy dog that still needs to be groomed. And barbeque that needs to be eaten. Thats all Ive had for two days straight now, and we STILL have about 3 pounds left.

squawk, squawk, screeeeeech, squawk, screeeeeech.....

Day 2 of clarinet practice.

It can only get better, right?
hehe. It does. Tell him...or was it her?... its all about the ambature. Concentrate on holding the mouthpiece and reed properly against the lips.

And may peace find you soon.

You shouldve made him his own sock!

But its good to see you checking in with good news.

BTW, I will be placing an order soon... I know you arent shipping for now... but Im down to about 20mls of House.

Yes indeed, one green foot looks good on him. He's not impressed with it, even though I keep telling him he's wearing a really cool looking sock.
It wouldve been cooler if you made him one. Just sayin'. :D

If Jakes like my girls it probably wont be on by morning.
Sounds like Charli. I still dont know how she managed to remove an eat the "cone of shame".
