First of all, i agree about the "Screwdriver", people should bash it, and i think it is a big rip-off.
Nicosticks are not being sold formally, just in private deals no one knows about.
The GG is hand made from scratch, not based on any existing device, which is a WORLD of difference. (i don't care about it cause i make my own mods).
Your device is not made from scratch therefore it is a mod, you are entitled to sell it, as much as anyone else does and no one is being forced to buy it, but as i said in my other post here, this thread should NOT be in the modders forum, it belongs to the reviews or suppliers section.
People that bash your mod are also entitled to do so. I have my personal opinion about everything and i don't always choose to make it public, some others do.
Ignorance abounds everywhere and this forum is filled with false claims about most everything.
I like your mod but i would never buy it because i can make one myself, some others do not have the know how so they prefer to pay for it. Some others don't have the time or the tools so they also rather pay for it.

Fair price?, what is fair price in this world?, when you have to pay $35,000 for a pile of junk like a chrysler or any other American car, (or some korean made cars).
If people were informed about how much it cost to produce one of those cars, they would be in horror and would rather be bashing them than your little profit with the copper.
Fair price?, when you have to pay $3.99 for 2 switches at radio sharks when the truth is it is produced in China for less than 0.02 cents on the dollar?, so much for "free" trade LOL.
Get a grip people, complain about the right things.
If not, go buy yourselves an Apple computer and pay $1,700 and be happy with it. The truth is it will cost them less than $200 to produce and market it.
So you still think muldrick is ripping you off? :D

LOL, good post! No, I don't think he's ripping me off, my Copper is in the mail and on it's way, just got my shipping notice.

And my Apple computer, well, I paid over $1,700 and have NEVER been sorry. Just wish I could have afforded an Apple laptop too, but my e-cigs have cut into my budget ;).

Please understand that I was only trying to make a point. I don't think anyone should "bash" anyone's product unless they have a bad experience with it and can not get a problem resolved with the seller. I certainly don't think people should speak negatively of something that they've only seen pictures of.
I think the SD is a very nice product and like you said, the retail price of something has nothing to do with the production costs. I've done other business and have run into products that cost 50 bucks to make and sell in the 10-20k.
It all depends on what the buyer thinks it's worth, for example, I would never buy that Apple for $1700. J/K.
I shouldn't have said what I said about the $160 "flashlight", I was just trying to make a point.

Okay, I have had my 901 Copper long enough to give a update on my findings.
The Copper is a 6 V it is very durable and a very inexpensive PV for a 6 V
It is a blinding fog machine with a monster throat hit and with that said you have
to keep the atty moist so drip about 4 drops in and take about 5 monster hits
I have Never got a throat hit from any other PV like this one.I've heard that 901's
don't last long or burn up on 6 volts, I think this is due to the fact they let the atty
get dry. I use Drew's HV Juice at nhaler.com with it and the flavor is amazing
I love the Copper!

Just ordered one...

Too much $$$? Hardly!

I'm a bit of an inventor myself. Electronics technician by trade. His price is right in line if not better than damn near everything out there. Could I make it myself? You bet:

Chasing parts: 2 hours @$45/hour (my rate): $90.00
Beer-bribe to get some lathe-time at my buddy's shop: $15.00
Batteries/atty/charger/: $35.00
Assembly/troubleshooting/misc time: ??????
Materials/misc parts: $20.00
___________________________________________________

$160.00

Hmmmm.... $160.00 vs. $83.xx for device, batteries, atties/charger...

Not a tough call!

Those who have never designed, built, or troubleshot anything really don't have a clue.

I recently designed and prototyped a tiny specialty audio amplifier for a friend. Parts cost on a finished unit is about $12.00 in smallish quantities. Think I'll build you one for $12.00? How about $24.00? He is HAPPY to pay me $50.00 each. The first unit cost him well over $450.00 in parts and right around 40 hours time which I did NOT charge as he is a friend. Yeah I'll be rollig in the money. Sometime around 2021...

________________

The first thing I'm gonna do is test it. I will then promptly disassemble it, probably knock the corners off of it to make it more "pocket-friendly", put a nice knurl on it, and pass it on to my other buddy who will either plate it or powdercoat it for me. Depends. On a lot of things...

Looking forward to a cool product from a fellow inventor. I'm sure he'll enjoy a lavish vacation due to my staggering $83.00 purchase. Hell- I'd guess he's happy if he can put $20 in his pocket from my purchase at the end of the day. Sheesh...

Peace,

I bought two Coppers. It is my favorite [hi V] mod, and is the only device that will keep my wife from smoking up the house with analogs. She has tried all of my vapers, and this is the only one that actually keeps her from lighting up (at home). A 3 second drag on this thing is consistently most like a drag on an analog in: throat hit, nic kick, vapor volume and flavor. For an analog substitute, the Copper is the best I have found (and I have 3 mods and countless cig styles). Ridding the house of the analog stench is worth more than the purchase price of the Copper, for sure! ;)

I'll post an update too. I've modified my Copper like i said I would. This isn't recent. I've actually cut down the caps a little more:

I've also sanded the middle down a little more and repolished it. I'd agree with the posters saying the RN4081 is very analog-like at 6V. I drip mine, but I've replaced the mouthpiece with a BE112 mouthpiece. If fits perfectly over the top of the RN4081. I put four drops in it, and get about 7-9 hits. I usually do mouth pulls, then inhale through the nose. This is currently my favorite mod.

I got to admire a guy with ingenuity and know how,and a little more street smarts or practical knowledge
I know a lot of engineers that are real book smart but no practical knowledge
they can have a great idea but no mechanical knowledge to make it
You took your know how and did something with it
I like the K.I.S.S. method too....Keep. It. Simple. Stupid.
And for those that don't know R&D cost money and time ask anybody who's done it then you can debug it and perfect it ..more time and money
congrats on a job well done
