The Copper Review

I'll respond to this.

I'm "average user". I don't have the tools or the know-how or the TIME to do the research because I've got a family/job/commute/obligation/koala-infestation. I'm not going to spend the cash on the saw/soldering iron/solder/wires/adapters/switchs/etc, but I would HAVE to buy all that crap on top of the 15-20 dollars in parts to put together this mod ASSUMING I did it right the first time and didn't mess anything up, ASSUMING I had the time to devote to research when I just want something that works.

56 bucks is only expensive if your time has no value, and you already have all the supplies needed to build your own mod. I've spent way more on the tools and supplies to build my own mods then the cost of a Prodigy.

I'm going to place an order for the Copper now. Thanks for the positive reviews. I can't wait to try out this atomizer.

Very well said! I'm a jewelry designer and I've got thousands in tools and beads and supplies. It can take 80 hours to put something together and people want to know if they can buy a piece for maybe $20. It does get frustrating!

I have spent a bunch of money on ScrewDrivers and Titans and and and... this looks like a whole lot of e-cig for the money. Its intuitive, its simple, its good looking.. its mine.

For those who think its too expensive or they could make it cheaper... try it.. show us how it went. I am interested in building these things more from a "geek" perspective myself. For the amount of work that goes into it, and the skills you need (which I probably don't have), I could never make enough money to make it worth it for me personally.

PS - If you need help with the design of the website or something, just ask. Look at the PureSmoker website.. doesn't get much simpler than that, and that product has that company jumping just trying to keep up. Just need to have some good photos etc.

Thanks for all your kind responses and complements. (And someones purchase)
(I thought I'd end up posting again :) Just not going to argue).

Yes, Titan, my site needs much work. But....no funds. I just used OSC and built it myself.
Decent sites (I'm sure you know) cost upwards of $4K.
If you're a web builder...maybe we can trade work :)

Marketing: Dang, wish I had 10-20-30 grand to market this correctly. Can I borrow some?

My suggestion is include a simple text based description with additional jpegs for dialup users who can't realistically watch whatever it is you want to present in your video. Just because you are fortunate to have availability of broadband doesn't mean everyone does.

I don't think this will cost you anything close to 10 large.

Muldrick, I PM'd you. I had asked a couple of questions, one was if a 901 atomizer would fit, but after going back to your website, it looks like it might not. Wish it would, I have about 90 901 atomizers and don't want to stock any other kind.

Still, if and when you do get adapters, please let me know. Thanks!

I don't know a single person still on dialup... not a one....oh, nevermind, I see you are in Alabama....I get it now.

Totally Kidding of course... but seriously, what is the reason behind not having faster internet than that?

25 miles from town on an antique BellSouth of FL phone system. No DSL and no projected availability now that ATT has taken over the system. Also 25 miles from the nearest CATV system. No cable internet. Finally, no way I'd pay the ridiculous amount of money asked for satellite internet while putting up with their crap and restrictions.

The part that stinks is all of our rental properties (near towns and on different phone systems) have DSL.

WAY off topic, but I feel for you.. sorry to hear it. What about 3G through the cell phone? Its got a 5 gig limit, but I use it at our cottage by hooking it to a wireless router and using it as our main internet service and I have never hit the 5 gig limit. Of course, my company pays for it, but still, its only 30-50 bucks a month, and if you are just using it mostly to surf, not to stream, its excellent.

Now, back to the copper... how hard to you have to push on the atty to get it to contact the battery? Is there a lock that you can put in to stop it from pushing in when its in storage?

Please, let me see some of YOUR mods so I can give my "mature" opinion.

Oh, I won't respond to flaming...I'm done with this post.

Hay, as far as I'm concerned, good for you. You got creative, used some plumbing supplies and made it work. And if you can make a few bucks in a process, well, there is nothing wrong with that.

Thing like this, plumbing or otherwise, is what makes our "community" great. Perhaps, I'll try some HVAC mods myself and use tampon for a wick.

HELP....why when I go to order the copper it gives me a price of $67.39? The site shows it's $55.95 (I think it's .95). Are you charging almost $12 for shipping?

I am going to wait until I hear from you. Thanks

You have the "batteries and charger" option selected on the previous page. He doesn't charge for shipping over 60 bucks, so it's kinda like getting the batteries for free if you take that option. I needed an extra CR2 charger. Note: The prodigy RCR123a's that you and I probably have 4 sets of are not the same size as the CR2's. I found that out when I ordered the Super T1.

I've heard good things about the RN4081 atty as far as handling high volts. I was going to get around to trying them out anyway, plus I wanted to see how he implemented the push-switch. All in all, I took care of a lot of things with one purchase.

We're way out of range for anything with any speed. I've actually tested the best candidate and managed to get something like 80 kbps.

Yep, just ordered one for the same reasons. Mostly though, just want to look under the covers.

PS - This is probably not something you want to walk around outside or at an airport with. Pipe... batteries.... thing sticking out that you push... killshot to the head... whoops, we are sorry mrs. blah blah....

Thanks Zo. Muldrick was kind enough to email me with that explanation and you were right, that's what I was doing.

Actually I had ordered quite a few of those batteries and 4 battery chargers for them for a mod I never ended up purchasing. Plus, I started vaping with the 4081 and went to count how many atomizers I have and found out I have 26 of them!!! So I thought heck, I've got the batteries, I've got the chargers and I even have the atomizers so I just can't go wrong for that price.

I may end up getting a second one and more atomizers and batteries. I'm trying to stock up. Not so much because of a ban, but because my husband is soon retiring and our income is going to go way down so I best get what I might need now!
