The cost of vaping

Out of curiosity I wanted to know how much some of you have spent on vaping. Add it all up and if you are willing give a number. This is not a competitive thing. Just curious since I plan on making a hobby out of vaping. Even if I cut out nicotine I will continue to vape.

I have already spent around $150 spread out between a starter kit, a better variable voltage e-Go, an iClear 30, a couple more cheep clearos, and juices. I smoke about 1-2 ml per day. So I'm relatively heavy smoker. I plan on spending $60 on a new iTaste SVD and probably a Protank or some new cartos. So I will be breaking $250 easy for my new vape habit So what about you guys!?

After getting my vamo and I have several Spinners and lots of evods a protank and about 4 carto tanks. Don't even want to add that up BUT..now I ususally only spend about 40 bucks a month on juice and hardware.

I stopped keeping track of the money, so I really can't say. Over a grand, but i tend to stock pile & collect. I have began to rebuild coils and DIY juice so the spending has slowed down. 1-2 ml juice a day is probably more on the low side as far as vaping is concerned

About $300 for me so far, but I'm pretty much set as far as hardware is concerned. I'm still trying different liquids to try to find a few that I really enjoy.

It sounds like a lot, but I have saved far, far more than $300 by not purchasing analogs since I quit smoking.

I'm just over three weeks in. So far I've spent about $300 for a starter Evod kit, some extra Evods and replacement coils, and a fair bit of juice and juice samplers. That's about what smoking for three weeks would have cost me, and I have enough hardware to last for quite awhile, so I'm already starting to save money.

Looking at numbers, I expect once I settle in to my chosen ADVs (I'm still trying lots right now, so juice costs are a little high with shipping to Canada -- damn you Americans and your free shipping!) I'll be spending about $70 a month on juice and hardware (I'm vaping about 3 mL a day) which is a huge, huge savings for me from my PAD / $14 a pack habit.

i'd reckon i spent about half what the banner says i saved, but my wife and i quit at the same time and we were both heavy smokers.

Now i make my own stuff and spend maybe $100 every 6 months unless i see something shiny!

i like to play so a couple thousand easy. sold most of it off but just sitting in front of me is 4 mods and 5 attys and a couple drippers totaling around $1000


but i spent close to 300 a month on just cigs so...................

Yeah adding it up I was spending about $180 a month on analogs. That so much! Crazy how it adds up. It's nice to hear that once I get the equipment the cost will get even lower! But even if I am spending the same amount I don't mind. Anything to get away from the analogs. I do plan on collecting a little bit. So I'm certain I will always be trying new tanks and mods. But it's nice to be able to sit and vape what I have if I am low on cash.

I need to look more into rebuilding coils and making my own juice! I bet it's extremely cost effective once you know what you are doing

My daughter and I both quit analogs at the same time on 7/13/13 so I'm shopping for both of us. So got two ego-t 900mah kits (2 batteries, two ce5 tanks, wall charger, usb charger, needle tip bottle and zipper case) on sale for 39.99 each, ejuice we get is 4.99 for 10ml and got 4 bttls so that's 19.96. I bought extra for me 1 kanger T3s @ 6.99 and extra coil @ 2.75 and a lanyard @ 5.99. Went yesterday and got 4 ce4 tanks @4.99, 1 30ml of our favorite everyday juice at 10.99 and two more 10ml at 4.99. So in all total over the last 2 weeks I have spent $156.60 on vaping (that's only 78 bucks for each of us) and you got my entire shopping list ... good thing is I'm not spending it on nasty analogs!

start diy and find a few favorite juices and the saving really pile up. my main juice costs around 15-18 bucks a 16 oz bottle now. fyi thats 16- 30 ml bottles.

and rebuilding ? yea pennies per rebuild when wire is 9 bucks a 100 ft and wick is 20 bucks for 30 feet.

And how much did you spend per week, per month on your smoking habit?

Chances are, unless you go a little spend-frenzy, you'll still come out ahead. You don't need to try everything available out there NOW. It can wait. The most important thing is having a device, a few tanks, batteries and chargers, back-ups (within reason), and juices that you like.

In the end, it's up to you to decide how much to spend. It's relatively cheap to what we spent on cigarettes.

In my three analog free weeks, I've spent well over $200, just trying to find what is right for me. Buuuuut, I live close to mov, and a b&m 2 minutes away(which has slightly higher prices).

I blew through $427 in the first week and didn't get anything fantastic. 2 ego 1000 mah starter kits, 4 extra vision tanks and heads. Then realized I hated the vision tanks so turned around and ordered 9 Evods and 9 replacement heads along with wire and wick to recoil the heads. Got 13 flavors coming from vapor god next week. It will pay off in the end. Entry cost was steep for me though. LOL

What! Dang. Got any pointers on DIY? I know there is a couple stickies about it on the forums here but is there somewhere else I should be reading that would help me learn? The cheaper the better haha.

LOL that lasted about a week...

But I cannot tell you how much better I feel, how much I can now smell and taste everything so much better. NO regrets whatsoever.

It's hard to put a price on getting away from cigs. If someone walked up to me before I found vaping and said "hey, for $2k I can get you to stop smoking cigs AND not feel the awful hollowness that goes along with it" I would have stroked a check then and there.
