Lol! Yeah it's all over now! You didn't factor in that new $200 mod that checks the resistance of the atmosphere around you! That's the most important part of vaping! ;)

Somewhere out there
What! Dang. Got any pointers on DIY? I know there is a couple stickies about it on the forums here but is there somewhere else I should be reading that would help me learn? The cheaper the better haha.

There's a whole sub-forum on DIY DIY E-Liquid

I'm not going to add up what I've spent, I guess I'm a bit of a horder (fear of what the FDA could do contributed) But I've easily got enough gear and DIYsupplies that I could stop buying now and be set for at least a year, probably longer.

That's awesome! I will definitely check it out! Thanks.

I think that you can vape very cheaply or make it a high end habit. It really depends on what you are looking for and attracted to in the way of pvs, and if you are willing to try your hand at DIY juices.

For me, I spent a lot more in my first year than I do now. I DIY most of my juices now and order when I feel like changing it up a little bit. That saved me a ton of $$ in my vape budget. I keep around 4-5 pvs on hand and buy/trade/sell when I want something different. Some of the pvs out now make me drool, but I try not to buy something unless I really, really need it. I found out really early on that my budget can in absolutely no way keep up with everything that I'd like to have.

Have fun w/ your new hobby and trying out different types of juices and pvs - it's really a lot of fun.

43 days now my total bill divided by days equals around 5.00 a day. I was spending 10-12.00 a day on analogs. I've saved 5-7 dollars a day for 43 days now so, I guess it's fair to say I'm quite pleased.

This is how I determine how much I'm saving too. I kept my last (empty) pack of analogs and stuff $7 cash into every day (what I used to spend on a pack). It's somehow rewarding to see the cash I used to blow on analogs. Plus, whenever I want vaping stuff, I pull the money from that pack! That definitely relieves the guilt of buying a shiny new toy--I figure it would've been spent anyway!

Kinda' hard to say...

In terms of upfront costs and such, so far, I'd say about $300, but I also look at this more as a hobby now than just gettin' my vape on.

In terms of monthly costs, I'd prob say right around $40 or so. This is for liquid, replacement heads, and cartos.

However, I seem to keep finding new toys to play with and new things to try (rebuildables, etc.), so costs can vary. But, I'd pay virtually any amount of money to keep me quit from the analogs, and I'm having a great time experimenting and learning as I go.

I'm a noob and i'm spending a litttle more that i would like. But i have to find out what i like and don't like....right?
i find that that i'm wasting money on buying replacement heads that are suppose to fit...but don't. i found out that if you buy heads from a retailer that one didn't buy the atty from...there's very little chance of finding a head that will fit.

I did learn and cleaned and dry burned a coil for the first time today. It did bring the head back to life....but for how long? I dont know but i am a heavy user so i don't think that i can get any money ahead right now as i'm making too many costly mistakes. I don't really like anything that i've bought so far. I'm still in the experimental stage for everything and I'm hoping that all of this cost will settle down soon. I have a Kanger Evod and twist vv that is my daily vape. It's ok but i want much more performance that it's capable of. Next step is a ProTank. But it's hard to figure out what ohms to use. The Twist VV isn't much of a battery.

I see that this is a real racket. Once you buy from one retailer one has to buy all the replacements from that retailer and they have one over the barrel and they can charge anything they want to.

The Kanger replacement heads are suppose to fit both the Evod and the Protank. But do they? Hell no! Even Kanger is telling consumers that they are making it that way. But if they are....why the hell can't you BUT IT THAT WAY?

Next up is the tax issue.

When the government realizes that vaping is a new revenue stream....you are all going to see taxes on this stuff like you won't believe! Once the government raises the taxes...the retailers will advantage themselves with a price increase on top of that.

You all think that you're going to save money by vaping? I think you all are going to get a rude awakening. You are not going to save money....you're going to spend money. the Government and the capitalist will see to that.

I have paid about 4 months so far. :p I started about 3 weeks ago. I get a little OCD sometimes so when the piece of 1x4 I drilled some random holes in became inconvenient I updated it.

I picked up some Kanger Pro tanks and an Itaste MVP and have been happy. The best juice prices are from MtBakerVapor and I found this forum has some great people doing reviews on juices that will help. I bought a sampler set from MyFreedomSmokes and found one I really liked for example. (4 star general), and some of the local shops have samples you can try for free. That saves headache at least. I will know more once I get my shipment in from Fastech. I think that will hold me for some time. Based on my spending trends I will even out in a few months and I will have a better feel for how I will spend over time. The future looks bright, just need to find the light switch.
