I've spent just a bit under $500 so far (3 months). I have not saved any money since cigarettes are (relatively) cheap here in South Carolina (Pall Malls $4.00/pack) but I'm only in the red maybe $100 or so.

BUT...I DIY my own juice. Have enough supplies on that to last me a good five years. (That's not an exaggeration.) And in terms of hardware, I'm set for awhile. Luckily I'm not into expensive mods. I have one variable voltage battery and don't really see much benefit to it. I'm perfectly happy with ego batteries (have about 18) and mini vivi nova clearos. And I've set 3 other people up with beginner packages.

It's hard to put a price on getting away from cigs. If someone walked up to me before I found vaping and said "hey, for $2k I can get you to stop smoking cigs AND not feel the awful hollowness that goes along with it" I would have stroked a check then and there.

Precisely my thoughts!

After my first week I realized I needed to get organized so I picked up a box from the local wally-world and modified it... and the parts to the right are going to be for my first homemade mod once the batteries arrive.

That is a really cool little DIY box I might want to keep in mind as I get more stuff. I like the idea a lot!

I JUST started so I'm only at around $63 for a starter and some liquid. This doesn't count the fact I don't intend to quit smoking cigs though

I guess it depends on the type of ecig user you talk to. Some buy an Ego and are satisfied. But what about all those disposable atomizers that end up breaking? That's where an RBA comes in.

Some ppl spend lot's of money on mods and trying to find the next best ejuice. The money they saved on cigarettes is going toward their next best vape.

I've had my share of mods that I thought would be my final piece...only to break. And lots of RBA's that are not as satisfying as I thought they would be. So now I have collection. Which is a good thing because now I have back-ups for my back-ups to keep me vaping and off cigarettes.

The bottom line is. Ppl can save money from using ecigs. If they stick with it, and don't always go out and buy the next big hyped up ecig. Using an RBA and building your own coils can't be stressed enough if you really want to save money.

Then the money will go toward ejuice whether it be DIY or premade. Which is a lot cheaper than buying a pack of cigarettes in the long run. But buying ejuice from a vendor for a decent price can also make a difference.

About $500 over 4 months. I wanted to ensure I had enough hardware and juice on hand to stop me from buying cigarettes at 3 in the morning on a Sunday while I waited for the mail truck.

Recently, I splurged on a bunch of juice I didn't "need" but wanted to try. My cigarette cost was $200 a month. If I can keep that in mind, I'll be okay.

Someone asked me what I was going to do with the money I saved from smoking. She was thinking a vacation or motorcycle or something. I don't see it that way. Maybe I'll be able to pay off the house a bit sooner or something.

being a newbie I think its mostly trial an error started with v2 kit $60 plus pre filled 24mg crts $50 not much of throat hit then g1vape pen at a swap meet $30 couldn't turn the damm thing on so found a vape store near home bought a smoktech variable voltage (still nobody told me I can turn them off and on) with iclear 16 and cherry coke 24mg not really a big fan of the juice saving it for a rainy day and trying to steep it $50 bought more juice $30 18mg thought that had something to do with my vaping issues bought an itaste svd w/ 2 iclear 30 (one of the iclear bases stop working the screw just spins lost some e-liq) extra battery and charger $130 plus one juice I enjoyed $10 bought two more juices one vanilla to add the coffee so it wouldn't taste like extra strong burnt coffee then with the g1 I had a 12mg juice finish vaping it so iwent out a smoktech pyrex dct tank with a 1.6 cartridge they were out of stronger ones nobody told me I needed a drip tip (different shop) and a iclear 16 some different juice 12mg another $40 so tomorrow some more of my favorite juice and a drip tip and probably just a cart with higher resistance still I haven't smoked for two months cigareettes were so much easier just light and puff

Never really thought about it. Let's see...

Initial setup was an eGo-C Twist starter kit. With a bottle of Pink Spot Peach Green Tea it costed about $80. That was November 2012. 2 more bottles of juice for the remaining 2 weeks of the month, another $30. I've been pretty steady in rationing myself to 1 bottle/week until this past month. About 15 weeks of that (looking at a calendar) means $225 on flavor. Bought an eVic/iClear setup after I ran my Twist over with my car, that came out to $75. Started getting 2 bottles/week for a little over the past month (5 wks), but at a cheaper price ($12), so thats $120 recently. Juice consumption went up because I upgraded to Mech/RDA (K100+AGI), that was $60 in total. Upgraded to an IGO-W yesterday; $20.

$610.

And that's being generous, not including replacement cartos/iClear heads/wick/wire. Unless I messed up on my week counting up there which I might have done. I don't really want to know. That's wayy more than I thought I had spent. Probably gonna start cutting back now that I look at it that way lol. Thanks OP!

Ahhh I literally JUST started vaping last week, so far I've spent only 50 bucks! On an Ego-C Upgrade Passthrough, that whole kit and then a big bottle of Honey Dew 0 nic liquid!
though I do smoke as a hobby rather than for quitting smoking, never been addicted to cigarettes, on dabbled in them during rebellious teenage years, thank the heavens.

However there are Vape Shoppe's in both towns that I stay at so I'm pretty sure that cost is going to go up very soon hahah

Plus my boyfriend vapes as well and I just discovered all the jwraps and drip tips... ding ding ding! Future birthday/anniversary/Christmas presents!

If you only buy what you need, new coils, cartos, batteries as needed, one or two flavors of juice, after an initial investment, vaping can cost less than a buck a day (if you know where to shop). Unfortunately for many of us, there are too many ways to customize gear, too many accessories, and too many cool new things to try. I have way more than I need, but I look at it like this; for less than the cost of my analogs, I could buy a new provari every month! So go ahead: SPEND, SPEND, SPEND!! ;)
To date, since May, I think I have spent close to $1000. O_O

I recently figured out that I've put about $850 into my vaping supplies/accessories/juices so far (since the middle of June)... this includes: 2 100mAh E-Go C Twists, 1 1300mAh Spinner, 2 Innokin iTaste VV V3's, 3 Vision Vivi Nova 3ml tanks, 2 iSmoka BCC Mega tanks, 4 iSmoka 1.6ml tanks, 2 ProTank 2 tanks, 19 different drip tips (2 were custom made), several battery chargers, a variety of replacement heads, tip o-rings, tray/stand/baskets to keep it all organized, and roughly 30 different juices from various vendors (some of which I've re-ordered and some I've given away).

I did gift one of my twists and several juices to a friend who is trying to give up the analogs... and I have won a few "freebies" along the way too. As you can see I have not purchased any "high end" pieces yet, but I am tempted.

I used to smoke 2+ packs a day, so I've told myself as soon as I get to the point where I've spent less $ on vaping than I would have on stinkies up to that point, then I will allow myself more toys! I figure I am about $300 in the hole right now. I think I have enough in my collection at the moment to last me several months, so I am trying to be good and allow that to happen (even though I don't really want to).

Self discipline is a tough thing sometimes! I justify it all by telling myself that you can't put a price on quitting the cancer sticks! Ok, just typing that makes me want to go buy a new APV!

Spent more than I'd like, but still much less than I would have on the stinkies. Fortunately, most of that money was well spent, early on I did make some bad purchases, but the amount of money truly wasted was probably only $100. At this point, not counting juice, my wife and I are in for probably about $800. We spend about $60 on juice each month between the two of us. Given we used to spend about $300 a month on cigarettes, we are WAY ahead with vaping.
