Me too. Or I did, and I will.

I see you bought another Crown Snork....They must be good, I have one one the way to be used in my ELA...
Now as for my Shockwave, since the 26650 battery holds its charge fo so long(at a high voltage) it really isnt needed...A HH357 LR atty hits like a champ!:vapor:

Actually I'll have two, I bought one from Super-T also.
I think I've decided the best thing for me to do with at least one of them is entomb it in a Kiklet so I can't get my grubby little mitts on it.

Can you still hear the beeper okay when its inside the Kicklet case?
I don't know yet.
Here's the deal. I used my (ahem) expired Crown to see how the fit would be in the Kiklet. It appears that it might be a long-term commitment since the Crown doesn't have anything readily available to grab onto. I was able to get it out by tipping it sideways and scrunging at it with a screwdriver. None of that made me feel too good.
Also, I haven't decided yet if the VapeSafe is necessary for length. I'd just as soon not, and with the Kiklet's spring I *think* it'll be fine without.
I'll be doing the real installation tomorrow sometime.

Good news, everyone!
The Crown installs quickly and perfectly in a Kiklet without the need for the VapeSafe2 fuse.
The beeps are audible as ever!
I'll test it the rest of the day without fear of...myself.

The Crown/Kiklet combo is excellent. I installed the Crown in a virgin Kiklet with no Noalox. It works great on the ShockWave for obvious reasons. Then I put it on my P+18500.
I learned something. I was having some misfires. Experience has shown that making sure the button and horns are clean is important so I did that. Still a little problem. Then I decided to make sure the bottom cap was really tight, tight like David says the slotted rhodium bottom post screw should be. Eureka! My Crown performed splendidly for a solid 3 1/2 hours, no misfires or button issues.

Just be aware that in this configuration

when you insert it into the ShockWave sleeve the orientation is not as visually obvious.

Snork can you show me the "exact " way to install it in the Shockwave....I dont want to fry mine...

The above picture how does the Crown/fuse go into the Kick Sleeve, is the fuse on the top like shown?

The above picture is that the correct way with the fuse on top facing upwards and the bottom of the Crown touuching the positve end of the battery???
Yes, that's the way I had it.
But as far as being "correct", I have no idea. I really don't know what the ramifications are to having the fuse in various positions and orientations long term.
Good luck.

Is there a way to disable the beeps? I wouldn't want to try stealth vaping in a crowded movie theater only to have my battery die and the Imperial March start playing, broadcasting to the world, "Hey! Look at me! I'm doing something I'm not supposed to be doing!"

In locked mode it doesn't beep, except when you intentionally check your power or resistance. And even when it does beep it's faint, pleasant and unobtrusive.

As far as the Imperial March, it's likely you'll change your battery long before you hear it. I'm finding the first manifestation of a low battery is a Kick-like misfire and clicky clicky. The March shows up when some other bad news happens, and rarely.

Point taken. Although the full procedure is complex when one keeps wanting to change wattage, twisting something a couple milimeters is theoretically simpler than pressing a button a bunch of times when one has a set-it-forget-it mentality. A small advantage, but it's there. For some people, the relatively minor issue of ground contact design is a dealbreaker for either the Kick or Crown.

Or maybe I should have taken the four words "and simple wattage change" out. :p

Huh, so it has a "quite mode". I think I'm sold. Good form factor, VV/VW, and a Vapesafe sounds great on the ELA.

Can anyone see any advantages of the Kick over the Crown besides the obvious ones (silence and simple wattage change)? This may be part of my next purchase.

The Kick has protection built in too.
