I have not been vaping for too long, but I already can see that I am smoking analogs a lot less. The issue that I'm having quitting analogs all together is that my room mate, and a lot of my friends are still smokers. My room mate is a heavy smoker, and sometimes the desire to go onto the back patio and smoke with him still hits. This is something that I usually give in to. This is coming from a guy who had quit smoking analogs cold turkey, even before I started vaping, for 7 months, and relapsed. I have tried the 24 mg nicotine flavors, and find that I prefer the 18 mg flavors. So I don't think going to a higher nic level is the issue. It's definitely more of a social thing because when I am home by myself I almost never feel the urge to smoke an analog. Do you guys have any tips for me that will help me quit analogs all together? When I had quit smoking for 7 months I felt better overall. I had more energy, less headaches, and was just feeling more productive in general. I want to go back to feeling like that. Feeling healthy.

I just think about the more rejuvenated feeling I have waking up in the mornings, like my lungs took in oxygen more efficiently without the extra tar I added on that day. Or how much tastier my juice is compared to a cigarette. Have you tried just going outside to vape? I used to go outside to vape at first to simulate the old routine. I actually haven't craved a cig in a while, but if I think I do I just vape my .... of and it goes away easy. Fortunately for me my urges havent kicked in around smokers but I was afraid of that at first.

Sabatoge, the old saying goes: misery loves company. I know he is your roommate, but apparently not your friend. (sorry) It is no different than offering an alcoholic or drug addict what they successfully quit. Use the higher nic when you go outside to vape with your roommate and offer him some of your juice. I had a really hard time quitting and my roommate still was smoking, I got him to quit when I gave him one of my bats and filled up the juice for him, till he figured out how to do it himself.
Now, smoke free home and no one has to go outside.
I know there is a certain camaraderie in smoking, but will these same friends be there when you are coughing up your lungs? I am 52 years old and not one of my former smoking buddies visited me at the hospital when I went 5 times in 2012. All because I smoked.
Keep up the good work, you can do this and be healthy!

I live with 2 heavy smokers and we get people over which are heavy smokers. It can be hard. I only started vapeing in November and it was and still is hard for me to resist the analogs but I manage most of the time. Now and then I do give in but usually only when I'm drinking. Luckily I don't drink often.

Like the others said don't stop doing what you would normally go just replace the analog you would smoke with your vapor and you will do ok. Good luck to you.

I'm new to vaping too. Sunday will be 1 month totally smoke free and the 10 days prior to going totally smoke free I was smoking 0 to 2 logs a day and vaping the rest of the time. As a smoker I was a pack and a half smoker a day for 34 years so I can relate to addictions. I've literally quit smoking and restarted a couple hundred times so I know it's one tough addiction to break.

I think the best advice I've heard is to keep in mind that quitting is each persons personal voyage to quitting and don't try and make it a race against a certain timeframe or try to compare your journey with other peoples journeys. Just enjoy and celebrate every step you take on your journey.

It sounds to me like you're doing great. Keep it up and you will complete your journey when it's the right time for you!

Without a doubt it is a mental thing for you. Your so called friends aren't going to stop offering you a cigarette until they see that you aren't going to give in to their desire to pull you back into smoking. Right now they aren't convinced you are no longer a smoker. Once they see you ARE serious about only vaping and never smoking again they will stop offering those cigarettes. Unfortunately that might take some time so try to hang in there with only vaping and not giving into their plan. The more often you give in the longer it will take for them to accept you are no longer a smoker.

Been vaping for over 10 months now. Not exclusively mind you. But I have some smoking buddies that I hang out with. After awhile, when I got my GOOD set up, I decided I would only vape around them & not smoke a cigarette. If I wanted a cigarette, I would do it in private. So they have seen me only vaping for a loooong time now. Because I didn't talk about it much, they became curious & asked some questions. I just tried to set an example. It seems to be working. Now there are 3 of us vaping! YAY!!

Analog free for 7 months now. Feel so much better after almost 20 years of smoking. The wife and kids are a lot happier as well, no more smokers breath and my kids don't complain about how bad my clothes stink. Have converted a few people in my circle, but there is always more work to be done!

Whenever I get someone to try giving up analogs for e cigs I tell them they are still going to want to smoke. It seems like common sense but what helped me to quit was realizing that when I got the craving all I had to do was sit down and vape for a minute then wait. After doing this the craving would subside. This helped me and a few other people make the transition.

My wife, her sister, and brother in law all decided WE should all quit together. They brought gas station brand ecig up the weekend of my father in laws birthday who passed a while back from throat cancer. So we all where in the garage and they(somebody said) whelp this is our last night for smoking. I said the hello it is! I never said anything about quieting, I like smoking I don't want to quiet.... Well the ones at the gas station suck. I would get so mad be at work bustin .... and need a cig and my light would blink blink. I decide if Im gonna have to do this I need to be able to charge it. So I ended up here just feel into it actually mods and apvs got me. reading and seeing them here. Had to have one. Got it with some flavors I have been going 90 to nothin now no anologs since Offical no analogs since Dec. 23 my last pack in the carton finished. I haven't looked back! Really I haven't I enjoy vaping.
Way I see it I get my nic I get my flavor and I get to rebuild a new collection like I had in my college years(wasn't vaping then though  but some of them you had to put water in.)
Just got done putting a real double coil genesis style tank together not one of those "double coil tanks" that have one coil with two wicks this one has two coils that I ran in series across from each other and a wick on each side of the tank. I started with the 24mg nic and got some 30mg white russian and diy supplies on the way.

So my suggestion to you is buy yourself the best apv you can afford one that will make your roommate and friend want to have a look see. That way you can be social and feel good about vaping. Silverbullet is a good start I got a vmax black chrome but the finish sucks the apv itself rocks but the finish started to wear of quick. look at the golden greek stuff if that is something you can afford(i cant) The Golden Greek Ecig | Home of the GG Ecig I had a ego twist to tiny apvs feel good in your hand. options rock.

Find what part of the vaping community you belong in!
are you a modder
are you a diy juice person
do you just vape
do you review

its like first day on the ball field you want to play first base or out field

O and something I think everyone should be told every now and then--- BOW UP! You make a choice to give in, vape.
