Before I started vaping I stuffed my own analogs. I started doing that a couple of years ago when the state added another $1.00 tax to a pack. Then when it looked like the politicians were going to pass the SCHIP expansion and increase the tax on stuff your own tobacco from $1.00 a pound to $25.00 a pound I stocked up on tobacco and tubes. Now I'm sitting on over 30 pounds of primo SYO tobacco and over 20,000 tubes. A pound of SYO tobacco is equilavent to about 2 1/2 cartons of cigarettes. I can't sell it because I'm not a tobacco retailer. Guess maybe I'll just have a bon fire.....or maybe donate it to a homeless shelter.

You don't have to be a retailer to sell it to people you know. Hit up the fellow friend smokers.

There is an element of irony (to me anyway) in your post that absolutely blows my mind. I too was a stuff-your-own addict for years prior to the massive tax increase. I somehow let April, 2008 sneak up on me without stocking up on supplies and found myself in something of a panic. I purchased factory-made analogs for quite some time and for quite a tidy sum until I moved on(up?)to vaping. I have cursed myself day and night for not preparing and supplying my stockpile of tobacco and tubes prior to the tax increase.
I'd have given anything to trade places with you--30 lbs. of tobacco and a corresponding number of tubes--are you kidding me? Nirvana!!!!
Just a couple of months ago, I'd have been bargaining with you on your stockpile.
Alas, no more. I am quite content as a vaper and I believe I'll stay this way.
That, I fully realize, is no comfort to you, but I think there are enough folks out there sticking with the analogs--SYO or otherwise-- that you'll have no problem at least getting your money back from your supplies.
Good luck to you and happy vaping.:)

Seal it up nice and tight, then store it in your bomb shelter. "When The Balloon Goes Up", you can trade it to militia members for canned goods and ammo. :D

OK, a more likely scenario: In a few years, when tobacco is illegal, you can hang out by the dumpster in the alley and sell ¼ ounces... just try not to get thrown into prison.

I am along with you "Smokin". I was already stocked with supplies for about 6 months, but with the tax increase looming, I ordered 15 pounds and 35 cartons of tubes from Lil Brown. My wife also picked me up about 15 cartons of generics at the commissary on base. I was set for the year until I checked Lil Browns web site for prices one day and saw this thing called an electronic cigarette.
