know this is a common issue but since I can't post yet in the normal threads, thought I would start a new one on here. So I got vapers tongue after about 10 days of vaping. I am now going on a little over 3 months of vaping. I was doing flavors like blueberry, peach, custard, nothing crazy.after having the vapors tongue for about a week, I started reading online about different things to try. I drink about 5 to 8 glasses of water a day, have tried brushing my teeth as well as lightly brushing my tongue multiple times a day, using mouthwash, eating mints or chewing gum, put lime juice on my tongue and left it there for about 5 minutes then repeating the process, doing the same with hot sauce, pickle juice, olive juice, drank orange juice, smelled coffee, used saline solution which I do not have a problem smelling the juice anyway, and now I am trying something called tongue tonic which I have used for about a day off and on with no results. I did switch to red hot about a month and a half ago and I can always taste it good, of course I do get extra flavor in it but even without the extra flavor I can still taste it a little all the time. some liquids are more PG based and some are more VG based, does not matter.

so my question is this. Are there any other off the wall things I can try? I have tried everything I have reAd about and vape shops have suggested with no luck. Anyone else got anything to try? I can also taste spearmint and menthol but do not want to keep vaping those things. Let me hear some other good suggestions! Thanks

to ecf Lmoney23. Nice to meet you and glad to have you here. Just a great place to spend some time. So sorry to hear you are having this problem. I have read many posts about it. Here is a site that might help you understand it and offer some things that you can try. Hope it helps. Have you tried switching between several flavors during the day to see if that helps any? Just wondering. I have read where that has helped some.

Good luck to you and I look forward to reading more about you and sure hope that all this is better. Make yourself at home.

I have been very frustrated with the vape tongue. I had quit for 14 months and started vaping during that time. The vape tongue struck, and I slipped back into smoking. Quit again 6 weeks ago and have ran into the same issue. I have gone from 50/50 to 20 vg 80 pg no change. Upped the nic to 24 and 80 PG 20 VG, no change, which I figured was not going to change. Trying to stay hydrated, assume that may be root cause. Tried the smelling of coffee, small effect. Trying the gum, same thing. I try and vape 4 flavors at same time. So now I have gone more high tech and ordered a Kanger subtank mini with MVP 3. Hope this may help some at least. Want the enjoyment out of vaping that I did smoking, as do not want to slip back again. Guess will try some of the things the OP posted and go from there.
