Peter, if you are running 4xAAA aren't you at closer to 6V?
If you haven't tried the 18650 yet, you may be surprised by it's performance. It actually runs 4.2V when charged, and because of the high capacity (up to 3000mAh) it doesn't drop as much under load as the little batts. 'Last all day' is an understatement. In my Chuck, the 18650 can vape 3-4 days between charges.

Just a thought, what happens if you blow a little (very little) instead of sucking? That should pressurize the bottle and cause it to push the juice up on its own. I'm just thinking back to when I was a kid and drinking (real) juiceboxes. I would always blow into the straw to pressurize the box and then let the juice feed back out.

Never thought of the blow method to pressurize the juice bottle, I will have to run some tests.
As for the 4 x AAA's.
Rechargeable AAA's are 1.2 not 1.5v but you are nearly right they do charge to about 5.2v not 4.8v
I have just agreed to make a box mod version for an ECF member. I will use the 18650.
Please remember I'm trying to make an e-pipe. So the smallest, easily obtainable, high capacity batteries I can find is the way I want to go.

In that case, you might want to look at the 18350. It's a little powerhouse. 18mm diameter, 35mm long, 1200mAh, 3.7V (4.2charged)

I agree, a single 18650 is plenty of voltage all day long for me.

I tried the blowing method on one of my tubes that feeds through the cart and it works but is very imprecise. Much more difficult to gauge how much liquid flows, flooded attys galore.

Which is why I created a very precise feeder tube which I'm not done with yet.

Hey! I asked first

I wonder what he's going to call his mod? I'd say the 'brit box' but he probably won't go for it....:p

Isn't the project box kind of the same size as a pack of stink sticks? How bout the squeeze pack? Vape Box? ... Pack? Dear Lord, I hope he doesn't call it a Peter Box!8-o

As one of the "Juice box Fan boys" I must say that this design looks very promising. Anything going in the auto-feed, auto-drip direction is going to make it big in this industry. People are lazy, and the ease of use, worry-free PVs are going to take the e-cig world by storm and make all the different-sized metal battery holders obsolete.

I can see how some like the idea of easily-obtainable, mass-produced atomizers being utilized in these types of devices as that's all they know. However, the "next step" in ease of use and worry-free PV use will be when the Chinese step up their game or America starts mass-producing a higher-quality, replaceable atomizer.

Hear, hear. I could see this appealing to people who want a little more control over the atty in their mods. Carlos is supposed to have one heckuva atty, but what happens if a juice box atty goes bad in say, a year? Do you buy a new box? Can he replace it? How much would it cost, and how long would it take? (Carlos, I love you, please don't pull my order out of its place in the line!)

I wonder how the design would affect the life of the atty at 3.7v? Shorten it or lengthen it? Carlos had said his design tends to keep the atty clean and serviceable by virtue of the being bathed and rinsed in juice.

As for the chinese stepping up to the plate, i doubt it, since we've come to almost expect the atty as a replaceable item. But if one of them does, this new design would just about equal the fabled jb, wouldn't it?

Side note: drew at nhaler recently won a juice box at an online auction. Hmmm......

My, what interesting times we vape in!

Yes, he'll be able to replace your atomizer for you whenever it goes bad. It doesn't take him long to build them, and right now he's coming up with a way for you to be able to just buy spares from him with plugs of some sort so you can just unplug your old one, and plug in the new one.

It will be interesting to see how long the atomizer in this device lasts with the juice washing back and forth over the coils, though.

Sorry, I mean to ask what the atty life would be like on the juice pipe mod being bathed in juice. Carlos has stated he believes the same action helps the atty on his mod.

Love your idea so far but I see why the bowl would be too big. I worked on one concept that I might do later that has a type of lotion pump in the bowl that would pump liquid to the atty and the stem would hold the batteries. Doing a different pipe for now but if there is interest I will make the one with a pump.

Oh and for a pic of what I am making I have posted it in the product design request part of the forum. Check it out :)

Hi All
I've been working away for 2 days and just got home.
If you have any pump idea's for a pipe, Please drop a link in (here). With pics please.
Just updated myself on recent posts.
If attys were perfect and never broke. Ecigs would be more expensive.
Manufacturers do like disposable parts on there products.
I have not done tests on my attys to see if thay last longer if washed in e-liquid.
I would have to bow to Carlos' experience!

Well chaps today it starts.
Just received 2 x 18650's 3000ma and charger, plus 10 x 10ml clear plastic eye dropper bottles.
Still awaiting mod boxes and need to source battery clips
But if anyone knows of an alternative method to buying battery clips I would be greatful if you would let me know.
Also I will be trailing a new toy while building the box mods.
My eyesight is rather poor and soldering is difficult for me. So I ordered a USB microscope. Hopefully it will make my Modding life easer!.
micro.jpg

I will let you know
Oh yes the Veho microscope is from ebay uk £32.95.
Good reviews on youtube.

I will be making to two boxes. (Must think of a name)!!!!!!!!!
One for an ECF Member with the basic battery, bottle, switches (one to power the atty and one master), Magnetic door and LED.

The other one will be for me to mod additional extras on.
E.G.
Charging stand connectors
Half door opening for juice bottle only.
And I really like the Idea of the folding down atty.

Time will tell.

It would be nice to see Carlos develop a 510 atty adapter for his JB.
Hope he gets it to work
It would also be good if he could mod his JB mod to take the new style adapter.

I thought he was saying he was working on a special sauce atty that would work with a 510 setup.
