I was curious if anyone knew how many Amps the E-Power's switch is rated for.

I plan to use smok Tech Dual Coil (1.6 ohm) cartos with it, and quick calculations show I need a switch capable of handling at least 2.3amps for the 1.6ohm cartos @ 3.7v (the E-Power outputs a constant 3.7v under load, until battery needs to be charged)

I know the switch is replaceable, but I don't feel like blowing it the first day I use the thing..

If anyone has any idea, please let me know, thanks!

From the madvapes website:

The e-Power runs at 3.7 volts and will support atomizers and cartomizers from 2.0 ohms and up! Replacement parts are a snap as the switch unit, cap and tube are all replacable!

So, that would be a No according to the madvapes website... but could be conservative supplier CYA on the ohms stated there (and he may have more info. now). Email them?

Another supplier who sells them on ECF says a 1.8-2.0 ohm is ok... and that's what he uses on the e-power.

And then I found this from clutchjunkie:

I have been using dual coils on my e-power with no problems for a couple of months now. The mosfet inside the switch is rated for 4.5 amps, I don't remember the part # but I popped mine apart awhile back and looked up the datasheet on it.

BTW, I do not recommend opening the e-power switch housing. Those tiny wires are a PITA to solder back in and they will break loose.

So, seems from the above that it is fine... however, I think it would be best to contact the supplier you purchased from for more information and see if you can't get a confirmation of the rating and lowest ohms you can go on your LR attys.

Happy Vaping!
