They are all the same and all from Hangsen as far as I know. They were just required to change the name to HS Echo because of name rights from someone.

It was when smoktek started calling them Echomizer that I became curious about it being a knock-off.

Thought I would post this here, this is black 650 with chrom echo dcc next to the sd keyring with adapter and dcc with drip tip. Now that's a stealth lol can just about hide the whole thing in my hand of course its very shiny.

Slightly too airy on the SD, but after awhile with my new pvs the echo seems slightly too tight so my observations are currently tainted.

Edit: the SD is actually linded up with the start of the echo battery not the led cap, though it looks in the pic to be slightly lower than the echo.

Go for it Cyrus. I'm with Tx. Too expensive for a regulated battery. I'm sure it will perform like any other SI battery which is good but pretty much makes it like the led version echo but with cone threads.

I would have been willing to give the Vaporsmith battery a try. They seem to have erased all memory of it from the website.

Really? what the frak! lol

420mAh.

Most of the problem is the battery post is a bit too low - so it doesn't make proper contact with cartos.

One thing I found interesting by reading at their forum. The auto takes forever to charge (like mine - I leave it all night) while the manual doesn't. VS explained it happened because the auto has 5 seconds cut-off and the manual has 10 seconds. So one of their 'solution to the problem' is either to extend the auto cut-off to 10 seconds (yay! for me :p) or modified the charger (boo!) - but since the status is 'recall all', I hope they made the cut-off longer.

What a crock of crap. Why anyone releases batteries with 5 second cut offs these days is entirely beyond me.

That must be where I picked up the name echomizer. They are all echomizers. And HS=Hangsen.

I assume you are speaking of how you think of them? :) To me they are all Echo's, some with a couple of letters in front some behind but Echo, then there is SmokTek who carries echomizers. :)

My understanding is Echo is the name of the battery (Echo, Echo-E and the mythical Echo-V) while Echomizers is the Echo-style cartos. CMIIW.

Perhaps I've just missed them but to my knowledge no site but Smokteck has ever advertised them as echomizers. For my money echomizer is a clone. :)

I always thought all echo cartos from all vendors were all the same and from the same maker....but now that we have "false" echos I cannot be sure. But echomizer to me is just "echo" + "atomizer" + "cartridge" or "echo" + "cartomizer" or "echo" + "atomized cartridge"....you get the idea. When I say echo carto and echomizer I mean the exact same thing. But maybe I need to change that?

Yep....just as cartomizer is a combined word that somebody made up, it's just easier to say echomizer rather than echo cartomizer (or echo cartridge atomizer for that matter :) ) Just like it's easier to type DCC instead of dual coil cartdridge atomizer.

Then again....I remember when we had to check with him because his chargers were different than everyone elses. So you may be on to something Errol (you usually are). But I still like calling them echomizers.

I think Kren bought her starter from him. If we hear from her, it might do us some good to see what type of box it came in.

Other than that, I'm using the 1300mah I bought from him all day today with no problems. And he shipped it very fast.

I have just begun to fight for truth and transparency. :) :)

I agree Errol if you ask a vendor who makes a certain PV or who they get them from they should tell you especially if they want to keep you as a customer. That is what caused the big rift between Bill of D&B Gold and myself. I just asked him a simple question about who made the iGo he was selling and he refused to tell me. He wouldn't even give me an answer in a PM. I finally found the answer but it didn't come from him.

So who does make the iGo?

So who does make the iGo?

It was a smaller company that I had never heard of but it wasn't Hangsen or Kanger. I would have to dig up the info again. I heard good things about the company though and that they made good PV's. I didn't or don't have anything against iGos, I was just curious to who made them.

what we need to do is get our vendors to start calling them exactly what they are. If it's an iGo, call it an iGo. I was all about getting a Riva 901 till I found out Liberty Flights switched the manufacturer to Smoke Teck. I believe it used to be Eastmall. In my mind, it can no longer be called a Riva. I don't even think they perform the same.
