I don't know of any method to burn the crud of the coils in any cartomizer, particularly DC units. Though there is a tutorial posted somewhere on how to clean the single coil Echo by taking the packing out.

Errol

That would be correct. You can use the horizontal coil cartomizers over and over and dry burn the coils using this method. It's for the gogo but works just as well with the echo, echo-e and echo, dual coils. Good luck

Didn't realize you were the one who posted that tutorial. :) Obviously you know a great deal more about cleaning cartos than I do. Have you used that method on the "echo, dual coils"? How do you get all the filler out and back in without messing up the the top coil and it's leaching material?

Well, you got me there. :)I have never done a rebuild on the echo-e dual coil carto. I just threw that one in because someone who stayed at a holiday inn told me that they cleaned a dual coil echo using the method I describe. To be perfectly honest, I never even vaped a dual coil echo as I bought a big batch of single coil echo-es direct from China and have been vaping them in my normal rotation of Boges and gogos. The echo-e single coil rebuilds just as good as the gogo and that I have done on several ocassions.

Just heard of some significant Echo improvements beyond the "Stealth" stainless-steel head replacement for the big LED on the end of the battery.

The battery hole is now sealed to prevent leaking e-juice from shorting the battery. Also, a new charging method is now used and the 1300mAh battery now takes about 4 hours to fully charge.

They just keep getting better!

PS: Echo enthusiasts should vote in my poll we are getting beat by eGo folks! :)

That adresses most of my concerns. I'll definitely try one. :)

Yes, as you stated. I'm kind of done with the echo DC. But so far they do last longer...I just don't like the battery and putting 3ml of juice in them. It's a lot to throw away when they go bad and then you have to put 3 more in a new one.

One of the best methods of saving juice came from Bill on the D&B thread. Pull the packing out, put it in a syringe and squeeze the juice into a bottle.

If I want to save the juice and carto I use my own idea of a centrifuge. I tape the neck of my atty into a 5ml syringe then tape them to a spoke of the rear wheel of an upside down bike and spin it with the pedal as fast as I can. This will get most of the juice out. If one doesn't have a bike handy I suppose spinning it on a lanyard could work nearly as well.

Fernand,
I gotta say I agree with you on the single coil. I got mine and have been using it for three days. After a few weeks of DC's, I can say I prefer the single coil echo e's. The DC's can give you more TH but really, it just seems "heavier" and is not all that much different. I find the single coil more satisfying and consistent. You are right on the volume as well.

1 Plenty of vapor and flavor
2 more consistent from fill-up to run-out
3 draw is always the same
4 uses less juice
5 cheaper
6 a perfect match for my new riva 650's
7 Easier on the battery (perhaps)

They will be in my rotation now. Along with another great carto... Ikenvape Platinum 2.0 ... the best vertical coil LR on the planet.

Good tip. I haven't tried it yet though. Does the juice stay good? Sometimes I wonder if the condensation makes it funky.

I'm primarily an atty person but use the DC Echo in a three way rotation with two atties and didn't try saving the juice the one time I cleaned my Echo. But to test the syringe and my centrifuge idea I de-juiced a bunch of old cartos I had saved. Both methods work well but as DarthVper said the juice didn't look very appealing.

Seems reasonable that if you had just filled a carto prior to it's failure the juice should be good. Just depends on how valuable one to three ml of juice is to you as to whether the effort is worth while.

I have an Echo for sale. I thought I would offer it here before I put it in classifieds. I'm asking $20 plus whatever the shipping is. Probably 2.50 first class or 4.95 priority.

-650 battery (not used much)
-two new Echo Cartomizers
-USB charger
-Case

The case can clip on and be opened w/out spilling contents. It can hold an echo battery with 2 10mm juice bottles and extra cartos. Hope I'm not breaking any rules by offering it here first.

Hello all.

I just ordered an ECHO to try out from healthcabin. None of the information in the description said anything about an ECHO-E. It was a kit with 5 ECHO cartos and 2 ECHO manual 1300 mah bats in a EGO case. I can't tell if it is the same thing as an ECHO-E because it isn't in that type of box and the batteries are manual that connect to a 510. I would just like to know if these are the same ECHO's people have been talking about on here and if their is any difference in the ECHO vs ECHO-E or if these are dual or single coil. Thanks in advance. Sorry if this has already been answered. I searched and browsed but came up short.

p.s. the infographic on the website says the cartos are rated at 2.5 ohms. Then it says 2.6 - 3.2 ohm in the description. I would link to the kit I bought but they are sold out now. They are listed under the health cabin carto category.

The echo that HC sells is an echo-e (510 conn with manual battery). The echo (808 conn with auto battery) they call a vgo which I don't think they sell as a kit. The one you got comes with single coil cartos. They don't sell dual coils for these cartos and have said that don't plan on carrying them either.

The echo E has a recessed end with 510 threads. The echo has 901/808 threads and is nearly flush, holding about .75ml more juice.
Shown here: Echo E carto, Echo carto, Echo auto batt, Ego (I think the same as echo-e) manual battery

My DC cartos are marked as such. The only other way I can tell is by the tube in the center. There's a horizontal obstruction I can see about 1/8 below the top of the batting on the DC.

There's another diff. The 510 type Dual Coil Echo-Es have the top coil closer to the mouthpiece than the plain Echo (901?) model. As a result the vapor is substantially warmer. In my limited experience, the dual coil produced more vapor and maybe more flavor, but warm enough to not be as cool, and then one of the coils died, after a week or so. The plain Echo-Es tend to last and last.
