I'm looking for chrome drip tips for Echo cartomizer. All over the net are advertising that 808 or 801 drip tips will fit but I have 3 801s I bought from GoodProphets and no way do they fit. Does anyone know for sure where I can get ones that actually fit?

808's are definately too small but most 801 drip tips work. I haven't been able to find any stainless ones though. Ikenvape has silver aluminum whistle drip tips that fit. I did get some 801 aluminum whistle tips from Nhaler that didn't fit.

I use Leo (801) drip tips from litecigusa.net, but they're not chrome. There is a fair share of manufacturing variations in both the tips and the cartomizers. Some of the drip tips fit good, some fit tight on one carto and not on another. A fingernail file on the tip takes care of it with very little effort. Also, the chrome echos have a little tighter opening because the chrome itself adds thickness.

I hope you find one that fits because it's much better than the rubber tips that come with the echos...no juice in the mouth.

They also have dse801 cartridge that work as extra tips if you lose one and 801 driptips that work good as well. 5ml Filler Needle

Snipped for brevity. Hate to bring up and OLD post but I'm interested in the drip tips. I orderede 3 in chrome from Good Prophets and they do not fit. Holding them up end to end to compare the diameter it looks exactly identical but no way is the chrome drip tip gonna fit in to the echomizer.I've had my Echo for about 3 weeks and love and want to get some non-rubber drip tips. Do any of you guys know where they might be available? Thanks

Thanks guys............I'm off again to find drip tips.:vapor:

Edit: So I took a metal file and filed off the chrome that collected and dried around the bottom due to surface tension and now they work fine..........even got the o-ring to fit. I may have to have a monkey wrench to get it off but for right now everything is fine. Thanks again.

Just wanted to say thank you and congrats to all on this thread for finally "delurking" me. Just got my echo in today. This thing rocks! (I have had nothing but regrets and slip-ups ever since I upgraded to an ego a month ago.) Here's a pic of the echo battery. Notice anything cool?

Congratulations on choosing the Echo. It is a very good PV. It appears to be a sealed battery.

Hi All,

With all the happy and excited Echo users in this thread I am surprised that only 2 voted for the Echo on my "If you could only vape 1 std. e-cig, Which one?". It seems as though the eGo will win... (sigh).

that's because the poll is closed. Tried to vote. The ego-nazis must have seen me coming.

One quick question. I noticed my echo-e dual coil (sorry-I'm not pouring over 173 pages to find the correct abbreviation) does not perform as well as my regular dces (?) Is that because of the whole regulated voltage thing? I only ordered one so I have no way of knowing if it is just thie one I received or not.

Charlz,

Your Echo DC should perform at least as well as your other DC cartos with the same ohm rating on the same power source.

Errol

well, that's the point. The echo-e (for the ego/510 thread) isn't as nice as the regular echo on my new 808 threaded echo battery. Unfortunately the echo-e won't fit for some reason on my 808 to 510 adapter so I can't tell if it's the battery or the cart. It's still better than most bigger carts, including the emdcc. But vapor is less and not as smooth tasting.

Both my echo and my ego are rated the same, have the same juice in them and were both tested fresh off the charger. The echo-e did get better as it sat over night but I could still tell the difference.

I also only have one echo-e so I can't compare it to another one. I only got it to help me be patient and allow my new batteries to charge completely before I used them. Basically the echo-e is really good, no complaints. But the echo is "WOW!"

I'm also wondering about tips that might help the whole condensation thing. I do prefer whistle tips but I am starting to realize they are causing the problem.

The 801 driptips eliminate most of the condensation. Being as it has a bigger hole it allows most of the excess vapor to escape. I like and use whistle tips and just blow them out any time I get any condensation buildup.

+1 —drip tips help condensation a lot.

I also slice the the whistle part off the rubber tip with a razor blade and leave a short rubber barrel that tapers slightly at the end. Works better than it looks!

Lulu, look down the barrel with a light. You should be able to see the upper coil on the DCs, and just a dark pit on the SCs.

I think a little condensation is a good thing. In fact on attys and regular cartomizers I use 510 carts that I cut the filler chamber down on as a tip, they give a nice cool vape, and wish I could find some cheapie carts that fit the Echo-E. I find the direct tailpiping hit too warm, unhealthy-like, and I can taste the flavor better when the vapor is cooler. Is there a supply of whistle tips anywhere? And what old fashioned cartridges will fit the Echo-E?

I received 3 DC echomizers in chrome and 2 regular echomizers in chrome yesterday from SmokTek. They were in seperate boxes but I neglected to label them when I put them up. How do you discern which is which? Mt. Vapor has their clearly marked but not SmokTek.

You can also slide a toothpick down the center tube. It won't get very far down the DC.
