Good to see new Echo users coming on board. So many vapers just won't try the big auto batteries because of the problems with autos in the old days (two years ago). The new generation autos like the Echo are so much better than the first ones. I just enjoy the vape more with an auto battery and the 3.4 ml echo carto is a perfect match for it.:2cool::vapor:

Honestly I don't get the hate autos seem to bring out in some people. As long as you're not squirting liquid around like a crazy person, it's not really a big issue. I was the newbiest noob out there when I first started vaping and I never even killed an auto even back then!

A note on the stealth Echos that Bill (D&B Gold) had. He told me that they had a high fail rate. My black 650's work awsome, and have never let me down. The pin hole and purple light are classy, where the big red tip chrome are a bit over the top. As long as they make the Echo, I'll be vaping them.

I like the chrome myself maybe because in the beginning all we could get were black PV's.:2cool:

I got it! Not sure if you can tell from the pics but I took a high speed dremmel and cut the adapter to resemble the echomizers. Four slits around the side and one all the way across the part the batt touches. Looks like sin and is a little jagged but it works!!! I also put some tape around the carto to adapter connection to stiffen the draw a little. The one on the right is my modded one and the left is an original one.

Congratulations on choosing the Echo. I've been using one for nine months and they have worked very good for me too. I have and use several different PV's but the Echo remains right up there with the best and definately the best auto. It is hard to beat the Echo for looks, ease of use and performance.:2cool::vapor:

Hi tx, I got mine right after you recommended them so long ago and despite trying other pvs, the Echo remains in my daily rotation. Such great vapor and I love the sleek chrome look. I'm glad to see others are enjoying this auto pv, too!

Hi all, got my kit last night and am vaping some excellent Vermillion River Minnesota Menthol right now -- at the office. I was blown away with the similarity to regular cigs -- there had been a decent approximation with the convenience store Eco-Cigarette I'd been using, but this beats it by a mile!!

So now my problem is this: DH, who smokes two packs a day of unfiltered Camels, is so impressed that he wants his own Echo. But Smoke-Tek is sold out. Need another supplier, stat!!!

ETA - Just snagged a restocked one at Smoke-Tek, but now he's sold out again ;)

I also just bought the tube from Volcano being as I had everything else. Yes it is a US company that had the kit for 70 shipped with a coupon code but it looks like that isn't the case now. They are 79.00 now. THE CYLON VV MOD

I was completely out of touch with how many different names the Lava Tube was being sold under and how competitive the pricing had become. It is a surprise to see it drop so far so fast. Is the tube being sold separately at a proportionately low price?

The single battery VV tube is nice in some ways but overall the wattage limit and under load voltage drop is troublesome for my use. It's pretty hard to top the $31 VV Box Mod from MV for overall performance though it certainly isn't a fashion statement. :)

I haven't seen anyone else other than Volcano that is selling just the Tube.

Echo users, trying to get a handle on what I should safely have on hand at all times to ensure we don't have to run get a pack of smokes.

I get the feeling most folks have tons of stuff. Do you try to keep it all with the same thread or do you mix/match with 808, 510, etc? What is the absolute minimum you feel comfortable having in your house?

When our second Smoke-Tek order comes later this week, my husband and I will have four Echo 1300mah batteries, 10 3 ml cartos and four or five smaller 808 cartos. A few tips. And 30 ml of each of our favorite flavors, plus about 15 samples. He smokes 2 packs a day of Camel nonfilter; I (did) smoke around a pack a day, a few less, of Camel Menthols.

Sounds like you have a good stock of everything but juice. With two people vaping it won't take long to go through 30 mls. I try to buy my favorites in 50 ml bottles.
I have something in every thread size so I mix and match but there is nothing wrong in fact it is much more efficient to stick with the same thread. You have a few small cartos to test juice and that is good. You are fortunate to be starting with a very good PV so it should get you going real good. Congratulations on making a great decision on quiting smoking and choosing a good PV to start with.:2cool:
If you want a good place to buy menthol try Madvapes Denang Menthol. This is one of my favorites. http://www.madvapes.com/Menthol-50ml-24mg-_p_2363.html
50 ml for 10.99

on day 4 on my new echo, loving it, not cumbersome, fits nicely in hand while driving.
came with a blue led.
order some more dual coils cartos today.
now the quest is to find the right juice.

on a side note, got tired of my ego-t leaking, was going to be my backup, so went ordered some boge 510 cartos which i read will fit my ego.

so for now my backup backup to the echo will just be the ecig from southbeach, also using them to test the juices i have on hand.

I hate to break the news to you folks, BUT, Hangsen does not manufacture the echo products. They are just a holding company that distributes them.

The ECHO and ECHO-E are manufactured by the same company that manufactures the IGO.

That is why my prices were always so low. I was buying from the manufacture, not a holding company.

Hello, it's the new vaper/Echo user again. I've been ordering juice like crazy and have bumped into a problem.
I have all these awesome 3ml Echo cartos and (right now) only two of the smaller size cartos to test liquid with. Until i settle on a few liquids, I need something smaller to test with. Atty time, right? Suggestions for the best one for the Echo 1300?

Today I will be taking a full 3ml of an untried juice to work with me, as I haven't tried to clean a carto yet and am out of samples of the same flavor to refill my small cartos. Bad planning, I guess.

Is the cleaning kit offered here at Smoke Tek worth the money? And if so, does anyone have an alternative to vodka for that step of the cleaning process? Can't have any :toast: in my house...:nun:

Oh, almost forgot: the red light never goes out on my USB charger. There is a green light on the adapter for the electrical outlet (yes, I don't know any of the electrical terminology). Is this the way it's supposed to be?

The red light on the adapter that you screw the batt into stays lit the whole time, nothing to worry about. I would guess it is just to let you know the batt is attached properly. The light on the part you plug into the outlet should be red while charging then green when done, but wait until the light on the end of the batt goes out to let you know it is 100%. I'm a new Echo user as well so I don't really know about the attys and I haven't had to clean a carto yet but someone will be along shortly to answer that one I'm sure.

Confused. My wall adapter has a red light that won't go out unless it's not plugged in to the outlet or there is a power outage. My usb charger has a light that changes from red to green when it's done charging. It changes to green about a half hour after the light on the battery goes out.

As long as your batteries have a hole in the center post, you can use a 901 atomizer or a 510 atomizer with an 808 to 510 adapter with a 510 atomizer to teas juices. If you have a "sealed" center post you will need an adapter with a slotted center post to make 901s and 510s to work. (Thank you, Mattvus for figuring out what should have been obvious to me all along!) When you drip into the atomizer just make sure it is not connected to your auto battery and won't leak. You can also get 808 threaded ce2 clearomizers. They have leakage issues but the clear plastic shell comes off allowing you to quickly clean off the wicks. I usually drip a couple drips onto the wicks and vape to test juices.

The kit works well and the cleaning process can be done without alcohol, it will just take longer to dry and you may not get the coils as clean as they could be. If you can't they will always make good emergency backups.

I must have a different charge kit from you because my USB charger does not change from a red light - I've charged one for 10-plus hours and no difference - BUT, the blue LED light on the end did go out, and I think Mattvus is right, that's the indicator that it's done. The adapter light was green when I first tried using that; haven't used it much in the last couple days as I'm just plugging straight into the computer.

Looking at my battery, it doesn't have a hole in the center post, unless it's microscopic. There is an open ring around the middle post, but no hole in the post itself. Does this mean I have a sealed battery? Unlikely... I have 1300mah auto batteries from SmokeTek; I thought there were only sealed batteries with the manuals?

Still would love a link to a recommended atty/tip combo for this unit - I've bought the wrong stuff twice in four orders this week and only the wonderfully personal service of the ECF suppliers has saved me :)
