In my three years of vaping most folks I know started with a pen ego style setup but quickly upgraded to mechs and rda's for something better...now since the introduction of subtanks and the high powered VW mods to vape them I don't see any of those same people sticking to the pens they used as a newbie...talking about my many friends I know in the trucking industry who vape across this country of ours, just sayin

Keep in mind, there are always situations where vapers will want slim pens, even cigalikes likek the eroll, to go to more formal social events, to visit someone in hospital, out on quick errands, etc. so hopefully the manufacturers dont' shoot themselves in foot.

I just attended a wedding, no smokers were there and I was only vaper. It was a formal event. You can bet that I was very happy to have my classy little eRoll kit, tucked neatly into my little dressy mini purse, you know the pretty little beaded ones women take to weddings n' stuff. This one is an heirloom, and not something I would want to put a tank in and have leak. :eek: it is all hand-beaded.

Wedding was at a resort, I just stepped outside a few times, had myself a nice vape, stepped back inside, very nice.

There are just too many time in 3+ years of vaping that I *needed* to have different kinds of things in my arsenal.

Other times I am in public places where i just do NOT want to keep track of an expensive mod, casino or horse races, etc. I bring the cheapest pen style ego type thingies I can find in my collection. Just too much jostling, changing locations, etc. to try to keep track of anything. I don't even bring a purse to those locations, have some really good hiking gear w/lots of pockets, but again, want my stuff to be small and lightweight. I am already usually having to carry binoculars, and they are enough to keep track of.....

Many people have jobs where they are "on the move" a lot and doing a lot of physicality bending, etc. Many of those gals willl still bring their lanyards and ego batts with them to do things like that

IMHO: If I can shut the air flow all the way down and there is enough room to wind a 1-2ohm coil I can 'toodle puff' on just about anything.

My last victim was a 1.2ohm build on a TFV4 single coil RBA. ;)
This is why I have never understood what a
"sub-ohm tank" is. Same with RDTA's, Rebuildable DRIPPING TANK Atomizer. Ugh... What?
Seems to me that Companies, reviewers, and people like to coin things.

That's nothing compared to my Dual Captain Rebuildable Coil with Replaceable Atomizer designed for Dripping from a Dropper with a Hopper for Reserve Liquid

Well a subohm tank refers to a tank using a coil below 1.0 ohm, nothing hard to understand there...
RDA= Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer
RTA=Rebuildable Tank Atomizer
RBA=Rebuildable Atomizer, like a RBA deck that comes with some subtanks...
Note that the Rebuildables can be used with either a 1.0+ ohm or a subohm build...for instance I have a 1.2 ohm build in the RBA deck that came with the STM my little sister tootle puffs on the low powered Provari...I have the same tank with a .5 sub ohm build I vape on a high powered box mod because I prefer deep lung hits...both are the same subtank but with different builds, tailored to one's personal vaping style..
And I can see using a pen in certain situations but I'm not fond of throw away batteries.. They are only good for so many charges and are useless when they they wear out, and thrown away...I take my small compact 75w IPVD2/Maganus down to to the casino that fits easily in my shirt pocket... just as portable and stealthy as a pen but uses a replaceable 18650 battery...just sayin[emoji12]

Most of these "SUB-OHM" tanks have an RBA where you can build at +1 resistance is what I was referring to. I know what all the terms mean. Mutank "SUB-OHM" tank with deck. TVF4 SUB-Ohm tank etc. It means nothing. Hell, even the Subtank has pre)built 1.2 ohm heads. Which is why I quoted the message above one. I was referring to that subject.

Not a big deal man. I'm good.
Just to see if I was off base with what I posted, I went and read the thread and a few others said had the same thoughts.

Have a great day!

Agreed.

I Vape crossing the country and searching for other vapers also.

Rarely do I see any of the older gear made for "standard" resistance vaping.

But I see 2 to 4 vapers, minimum every day.

Mostly I see high wattage regulated setups these days with a mech here and there, but less and less.

Started before the first EGO, still like an occasional eroll with 24mg tobacco, still use a ZMAX with a cartotank daily, 24mg as well...................that said I also use RDAs,RTAs down to .08 with a variety of box mods from 20w-200watts.......variety .........The ERoll does not detract from my Manhood, nor does my Fog Machine make me a Man

Some subohm tanks are far too massive and too airy to work well as a MTL vpae or low wattage vape. However several will work for clouds or low wattage puffing.
I vape on a tube mech or Zmax and some 650 mah Evod style batteries. I use either a Kanger Sub Ohm Mini, Evod, or T3S as my toppers.
I even use an ego adapter and vape a T3S on my tube mech.

Low wattage puffing. Great way to put it. That's what I was thinking about more than MTL. Thanks!
