Sorry. I'm just not seeing the point hiding it unless it's not an original. We all know the first number to be sold of the final version was 61 and we know that some guys have serials in the 19xx range. If somebody would for any strange twisted reason get hold of a real serial, he only would need to pick a number from 61 to 1900. There is no reason to hide it unless a) it doesn't have a serial or b) it's the serial I already mentioned.

As I said before, I dug through where I could and no similar case is known. Can it happen? Sure, anything can happen. Didn't Ayrton Senna died at the track because the direction' steel rod broke at over 200mph? And they take x-rays of that stuff before installing it in a car so yes I'm sure a chimney can fail. The doubt is... Isolated case or a design flaw?
Anyway, I can bring water to a horse but I can't make it drink it.
