What do you think we would see on store shelves?

Personally I think we'd see an L88B with pre filled cartomizers become the mainstream e-cig device. You'd be able to run into your local convienence store and buy them from behind the counter. Things that require refilling will become the domain of hobbyists and those "serious" about e-cigs.

Maybe it's not the future that many would like to see but in terms of mainstream e-cigs, the mini and pre filled devices would be the defacto choices.

Let's hope the future isn't all of the devices you mention available only from behind the pharmacy counter, locked away with Chantrix, Valium and Prozac. If it is, we'll need the Prozac.

I don't see pre-filled cartos becoming the device of choice--at least not in their current mediocre incarnation.

Right now, there are (as I see it), 4 major forces standing in the way of this.
1. The Antis. For them, this is a crusade... not unlike the Temperance unions of old, they are out to quash the "Demon Nicotine". Nothing is ever going to get them out of the way, and no amount of reasoning will help.

For the other three,
2. Big Pharma
3. Big Tobacco, and
4. Politicians,

...it's all about the Benjamins. E-Cigs cut into Pharma and BT's profits, and are robbing the politicians of one of their favorite cash-cows.

Eventually, one of these is going to turn, and it'll be about money. Pharma is a long-shot. Big Tobacco is possible, if they ever hash out patent-right leases with the Chinese. Politicians are highly likely, as more people switch and government tobacco-tax revenues start going down. The higher they jack up tobacco taxes, the more people will be compelled to switch, until the drop in revenue becomes really noticeable.

Basically, whichever one is the first to realize that there's a hell of a buck to be made will come over to our side... and any of the three has the muscle and/or money to get the FDA to back off. Yes, costs are going to go way up for us... but you'll see carts, attys and juice at every gas station. There'll be different models, just like now, just like different brands of cigarettes. The one diff will be the "R. J. Reynolds" and "Philip Morris" stamped on everything.

I have to agree that it will be some sort of pre-filled carts that get sold and e-juice will be difficult to find. I hate it, but I think there are several reasons for this...

1. Tax-able items. The chargers, batteries, etc become similar tax items to pipes and such...ie sales tax only. The carts would then be taxed as tobacco.
2. Control of quality/nicotine content. As the industry stands now, you can mix your juices add ingredients, and alter your nicotine levels. Sealed carts off the shelf will change all that as the FDA then bans direct sales of e-liquid. They can't ban the ingredients, just sales of pre-mixed liquids.
3. The almighty dollar. For ease of taxing I think they'll want a controllable unit to throw a price on. Prefilled carts accomplish this. Imagine paying as much for a prefilled cart as you do for a pack of cigarettes!

The masses are lazy beyond belief.Imo if vaping took off the masses would have a drive-thru approach to vaping.95%-99% would never think of filling there own cart/mod/carto.The average American will not made food for themselves. This will be a great thing for me, I will fill myself and order juice online from where ever that may be and the gov will look the other way cause I will be a very small minority.Think about all the ones behind us who might not get a firm grasp on the ways to vape before the gov steps in is whats annoying to me.Once the genie is out of the bottle and looks nice its hard for anyone to put it back in.

Yep, +1. Most people won't even look into DIY juice, much less make it... about as many as rolled their own before cig taxes shot into the stratosphere (I was one of those, too). For a few years, the poly-tick-ians (meaning many blood-sucking parasites) won't even have us on the radar :)

Off topic a touch, the one thing "poly- tick -ians" have historicly had a hard time doing in the states is taxing overseas internet purchases. The fear factor will keep the majority from ordering any items at all online and allow us if need be(dont want to diss the great usa suppliers in any way) to get a get out of tax free card.Anyone from asia is more than happy to send me a cell phone battery for a $1.60, surely he will send me some juice in the future.
