I've only skimmed a few pages, but is anyone concerned about issues coming through Customs with the upcoming Deeming? I'm contemplating an order (everything else is already en route or should be here before 8/8.
I think things may be ok for a little while, but who really knows at this point because customs has rules against shipping tobacco products.I really hope it's ok for a while because i am making a fairly expensive order from a chinese vendor, and won't have all the money to place the order until i get paid on 8/4,so cutting it really close. The only thing sort of making me feel ok on it is it ships 2-3 day by Dhl,so hopefully the company ships pretty quick after i place the order,i really don't want to take a risk on losing a good chunk of money after the 8th.

I purchased 9 packs of uwell crown coils (suppose to be authentic) in January I never received until May and every since coil would burn (I primed, let stand for hours not mins) and I would immediately get a burn hit on low wattage some would not even allow any air in I was sucking my face off for no vapor... I took a coil apart to find that they are misaligned the juice flow hole are more than half covered by Metal that suppose to be opposite of hole I contacted fasttech and they would do nothing but say contact uwell... Uwell says you need to contact the place you purchased then so Iam stuck with 9 packs of useless could and out over 100$....WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN

Fight for your right to vape......

I placed my first FT order on Thursday. The product page said will ship in 5 days. Friday it showed as shipped. On Saturday it appeared on USPS with status of accepted in China. Pretty impressed so far.
Don't be surprised if the next update you get is when it arrives in the U.S. I made my first order a couple weeks ago, and that's what happened. Still, from order to delivery was just two weeks. Not bad.

I am a long time user of Fasttech - usually worth the wait because of the good deals.
i placed an order july 1 for (2) eleaf istick 30w and 1 eleaf istick basic. Order got held up, supplier problems and delays even though both items showed in stock. Fasttech split the order.
Basic was shipped a week after the 30watts. Basic is intransit from Post NL to US, but 30w sat in NL for 10 days listed as preparing for shipment. This morning upon checking I see that the (2) 30watts were xrayed and have been rejected by Post NL. Both products have built in batteries, pretty close to the same size so I am not sure why 30w were rejected. Just unlucky. I reopened long ticket to Fasttech, waiting for response. Anyone else been thru this with them?
This is one of my last stocking up orders...hope it is resolved before th 8th or I can get a refund.

Heard problems with Post NL before, I always use epacket myself and had delays, but nothing more than that, if was rejected, FT should reship them to you, but you're probably in for a long wait though :(

Not quite what I wanted to hear. I ordered a Serpent Mini and Gearbest shipped via PostNL. Took 2 weeks to get to NL and it's been sitting there since Wed (7/27). I got tired of waiting and ordered a couple from ecig.com (10% code: ecig10) and they ship from the US.

The 8th deadline is for new products. Current products on the market is good for 2 yrs.
Was more concerned about importing a so called tobacco product and US custom inspections after that date. No one knows for sure.
For buying goods from overseas, it has been reported that the FDA may already be cracking down on foreign vendors shipping to clients within the USA.
    - ECF: @retired1 "The FDA has already sent letters out to the various shipping agencies. It's coming and it's coming fast."
    - ECF: @retired1 "If it's an international shipment, the contents of the package are going to be on the customs slip. Anything e-cig related is slated for inspection starting next month."
    - ECF: @retired1 "Bear in mind, after August 8th, all vape related items will be considered a restricted item (tobacco)."

FT gets surprised by the whims of shipping regulations with no prior notice. They need proof it was returned before shipping again or issuing refund. That can take up to 8 weeks.

I think the main regulation that goes into effect 8/8 is positive id requirements that ups and fedex lobbied for. That'll easily double+ shipping costs. If FT is going to change their policy, an announcement should be made soon. I'm guessing because they haven't, there's a good chance FT is going to continue doing business as usual until/if they get called on it.

I think it would be hard to target FT because they do such a high volume of sales of other products like flashlights. I think it'll be even harder for customs to claim stuff like wire and cotton is only used for vaping. We shall see.

I haven't read the Deeming document, but if anyone has, please tell me if there is verbage in it that says we aren't allowed to import tobacco products from foreign countries after 8/8?

Depends on your interpretation. The FDA cannot regulate metals and circuitry as "tobacco products" like they want just because they're losing tax money. It will not hold up in court. It might take a few months to a year to sort out but I really don't see it lasting much longer than that.

I'm stocked up for about 4-5 yrs before I need to buy anything (juice). Most hardware currently on the market will still be available for at least 2 yrs.

Thanks KTM. It seems possible the customs legal wrangling could possibly be prolonged for the entire two years. Now that's a bummer!

So sorry you had this problem. That really bites! This surprises me because I seem to have read that FT is very good about replacing faulty products.
