One of my orders is now in transit going into its 7th week. I need to try shipping methods other than Singpost.

Do not fret - my first order with fasttech took exactly 49 days to arrive (which was just last week that it came in). My second order took only 19 days - third order 17 days. Waiting on number 4 and have high hopes. :) I think it (likely) comes in to the Port of Vancouver then it's up to Canada Post, which you know, can be hit and miss.

I haven't ordered FT in a while but have a cart full to be ordered. Through my past FT orders, paid for the epacket and my order lands in Richmond it went through customs quite quickly. Its the free shipping orders that land in Mississauga that tend to take forever to clear to canada post then add 5+ days to ship across the country to BC. Things could have changed since I made my last order in Feb.

Agreed.

I have likely placed 40 orders with FT this year and this has been the longest. It will eventually show up, but the inconsistency is what drives me nuts. A previous order took less than 2 weeks. I do partially blame Customs though.

These are my first orders ever with Fasttech but I have been buying stuff directly from China for the past 10 to 12 years and it just seems to be getting worse and worse. 10 years ago everything came FAST. Like 10 days fast. This 7 week wait from FT is the longest I have ever had. And in all fairness, the tracking number did say it arrived in Canada on Sept 29th (I received it Oct 17th). I did expect to see "Opened by Customs" tape on my package but there was none. I would wager you'll be getting yours this week sometime *** sending good karma your way ***

These are in stock items you guys are talking about?

Yup - I will only place an order if it says it's in stock or ships the next day. If it's like 5 or 7 days away I just stick it on my Wish List and order it later. I just put in another order yesterday and it shipped today as everything was in stock except for some coils which were "Ships Next Day".

Was never fast for me... Long time ebay/amazon shopper here 25 days was my minimum before starting to order from FT/GB.

I would guess that would have something to do with your location. When I lived in Toronto things came very fast... then the further I got away from TO the slower it got. Now I live in No Man's Land (read: very rural Niagara) and it's as slow as molasses in January. Back in July a birthday card my friend sent me took 12 days to come from Hamilton (I could have driven there in less than an hour and picked it up lol).

I consider my lead time as starting the day the order actually ships.

So as an example, I have orders yet to be recieved that shipped Sept 12, Sept 27, Oct 8th and more recent.

EPacket has been less than 2 weeks, but I am generally 4-5 weeks for Singapore, China or Netherlands Post. Orders MAY be held up in customs, but out of the 40-50 packages I have recieved from FT, not one has been opened/inspected.

They always get here though and I have been doing this long enough to not order things I want quickly if there is an alternate source.

What's funny is DHL Global mail was sending it Through Quebec and even though Toronto is closer it was cutting 15 or so days off of travel time... Hope they start shipping ecig stuff again :(

Even Canada Post does weird stuff. My recently recieved REO mod came from North Carolina thru Montreal, right past my house to Mississauga (1 hour west) then back to me.

I got 2 in the mail this week. One shipped Oct 8 the other Oct 5.

I am still waiting on a FT order placed Sept.25th. Mail lady came to the door today (out here the mail lady knocks on your door if you tip her at Christmas ;)) with a package to sign for and I thought it was that order but turned out to be an order from Gear Best (aka Gear Worst) that I placed on Oct. 10th. Makes no sense. With the order I placed with FT yesterday I chose the upgraded shipping option for Registered Airmail via PostNL for an extra 95 cents (avg transit time 12 days). We'll see.... :p

edit: I shouldn't say "placed"... I do actually mean "shipped"

Why is that weird. You should send yourself a parcel so you can learn the Canada Post distribution system

Hey don't you get hit with a customs fee through them? Many years ago (maybe 7 or 8) I got hit with a $15 fee for "Customs Clearance" so I have never used them again.

Don't think I will be in China looking to mail myself a package in the foreseeable future.

I have recently received packages from Greece in 6 business days and from Romania to Canada in 10. Regular post. My son ordered hockey shirts from China that arrived in just over 2 weeks. Regular post.

45-50 days from China is definitely what I would consider "weird" and it is only FT and a few other vape gear suppliers that take this long IME. Hell, even Health Cabin shipping only takes around 2 weeks from China.

I would expect utilizing the slowest possible shipping avenues is an expectable byproduct of offering free shipping on all products.

DHL has been good on my last couple of shipments and no fees were required, but the shipments contained vape gear declared at $20.

UPS is the worst IME and I refuse to use them for international shipments Being sent to me as taxes, duty and brokerage/clearance fees can be 40-50% of the value of the goods. Brutal experiences with them.

Right on. I always forget your a little north. I usually get packages in two-3 weeks from order. Us epacket.

UPS is brutal, no doubt about it. FEDEX is the same - I won't use any seller who insists on either of these carriers.

Good to know about DHL then - once bitten, twice shy as they say. I guess they are worth a try again, should it come up as an option. Thanks for the info!
