I was under the impression that the LENGTH of the resistance wire determines the resistance, not the amount of wraps.

Are these resistance or N-R-N coils?

If Standard Resistance coils - once assembled you will be shortening the overall length.
If N-R-N Your overall resistance will remain the same - assuming NR legs remain but the coil will be 1 wrap less and legs will heat last/least.

Actually "new" Hybrid ICR's have both very high current output AND high capacity...but they aren't cheap
3000mAh Samsung ICR-18650-30A-B 4.35V High Capacity Li-ion Rechargeable 18650 Battery Cell

Here is a pretty in depth review of the REV A 28A versions
http://lygte-info.dk/review/batteries2012/Samsung ICR18650-28A 2800mAh (Purple) UK.html

I also believe they charge to 4.35vdc, but can charge perfectly fine in a normal Li Ion charger to 4.2vdc but will have slightly lower capacity...nice thing is with less stress they will last alot longer

The 30a is part of the model number, it's not the amp rating. The same is true for the 28a and 32a. I have a couple of older Samsung icr18650-26f, 2600 mAh and a c-rating of 2, which adds up to 5.2 amps. Also, the discharge curve plays a huge part in the usability of batteries in vaping. Batteries that have a large mAh-rating may discharge to unusable voltages quickly, whereas batteries with a low mAh-rating may hold a useable voltage level longer.

Review of
http://www.fasttech.com/p/1601200

First thing I noticed was this
e6azy7y6.jpg

Obviously not

Then I noticed the holes aren't on the same plane. The positive post screw doesn't go all the way down to lock the wire. So in order to capture the wire I had to wrap it around the screw.

I knew it only came with one air hole but that was fine. I wanted it for the looks. And a single coil with a tight draw makes it a nice mouth hit atty.

One of the negative posts is off turned.

Again, not a problem, has one air hole and makes a single coils builds just fine.

Also got some 5ml bottles to carry for dripping.

Overall I say a well bought item and I recommend it. And they have a 22mm version of the gold plated patriot in now. But I think this looks and functions fine for what I wanted from it. A single coil tight draw RBA.

I just wanted to mention..... My Patriot clone, ordered from FastTech and shipped on 1/4/14 arrived at my mailbox today on 2/19/14.

I mainly bought it just to see how long an inexpensive FastTech order could take to arrive with no tracking or additional cost to the free shipping on an item purchased for $5.43 USD.

Shipping via International Airmail I'm was surprised it arrived at all as I was positive that an airplane couldn't actually fly so slowly and stay in the air.

Okay purests! That's a joke and I'm not looking for any explanation of Chinese shipping proceedures or practices.

Are you sure you don't want an explanation of China shipping procedures?,it's very easy to do.:D

Order placed 2/9/14

Need Jeopardy Music. Playing the waiting Game.
I knew ordering right before or right after CNY would be difficult at best. But needing a few things, I figured it would be better to get on the front end of a long waiting list than buried in line on a second or third Restocking wait.

Seems FT is waiting on a lot of manufacturers to get caught up.
5 of 6 original ordered items were out of stock. Several of those normally stocked items. Silica and Drip tips
Now 4 or 6 have been picked but 2 are in Restocking
1 Has no date and may be any day
1 Says 2/25/14 and has been a trouble item for replenishment.(lists as ships in 5 Days)

Glad I don't need any of this very soon but it will be interesting to see how long it takes to reach SHIPPED status.
