My perspective:
If you want fast, you usually have the option to use a courier service, at a huge cost.
You cannot really compare this to the packet service, which as I understand it, is by nature a consolidated service. This means they will accumulate packets until there are enough to warrant sending on...this seems to apply to the vendors as well, as they are not going to run to the post with each package as it is filled, either.
The cost of shipping by China vendors is largely subsidised by China gov., which is why you can order a $2 item on ebay or amazon, and have it shipped "free" to you in the US/Europe/etc.
Those of you in AU who get orders from US know what the actual costs of sending mail internationally look like...
Enjoy the gravy train while it lasts.

This is exactly what I experienced. And loving the gravy train as much as I can

My last fasttech order literally arrived in 5 business days. I was absolutely astounded! That is the fastest China service that I have ever received by far. I have noticed that orders arrive quicker depending on what day you place your order. I have tested this strategy and I am totally convinced that the results are very real.

And you're not going to tell us the magic day??!!

I've been using Cotton Bacon V2 for awhile, I like it, but want to try what is out there so I got Koh Gen Do from fasttech.

If you really "want to try what is out there"...you need to try rayon for wicking material, too. Needs to be 100% rayon fibers, and not a cotton/rayon blend though. Lots of beauty supply places here in the US have it.

Amazon has it, too...Graham Beauty, CelluCotton - 100% Rayon Fibers. The 40' box cost me about $7. The box has 44130 on all 4 sides, at the top right, in large black numbers. They also carry a 500' box if it turns out you really like it!

Lots of us on here have switched to it from all the various forms/kinds of cotton wicking.

They also have a 1200' box which is what I bought. I figure I have enough rayon to last me until I'm 95 :D

Don't forget about the biggest box too,it doesn't say how many feet,it just says it's a 3 pound box, that's what i got,me and my son have both been using from that box for 3 years now,and i doubt we have even used 1/2 pound yet haha.

I think they call anything airmail if any part of the journey is through the air -- including being thrown from the dock to the canoe.

This is also considered "Air Mail":
