Those were the big-... laptop batteries.

I have a feeling Malaysia post will be problematic in the future. I wanted to order batteries but may have to do it stateside depending on the results of the a/c problem there. Reports of li-on batteries in cargo.

I got a question for anyone who bought any nemesis mod from ft. How are they on quality? I know they're only around 25 bucks but I've been oogling them for a while and really want the mixed or the brushed aluminum (I think that's what it is). So any input on the quality would be helpful!:)

Howdy FasTechiens, long time no stressing over asian tracking. Time to take the plunge again. I have my order all set but I would like to add a nice basic 18650 flashlight. I don't know flashlights and trying to search through FT is a nightmare. I would like one that is fairly bright, does flood and zoom and a high and low and wont break the bank. That's all I really want. Any other features are just fluff. I'm not looking to get in to modding or any thing. I had a cheap light I got from FT about 4 years ago but they don't carry it any more. I just want something like it or better.

I was looking at this light or for something similar

$9.41 Cree XM-L T6 3-Mode 975-Lumen Zooming LED Flashlight - 1*18650 / with clip / beam range 500m at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Any suggestions?

I think it's one of the better mech options at FT. My SS one is one of my favorites. The switch is crunchy on many of them at first, but a good cleaning helps and after it gets worked in it's pretty smooth. I got magnets to replace the springs which isn't necessary but is a nice upgrade.

No quality issues with mine. As with most clones your risking getting one that slipped through QC, but that's what the return policy helps with.

The stainless still is exactly that, stainless steel, not 'brushed aluminum'. To get a realistic idea of the quality, the product reviews on the item page at FT are very, very helpful. At last count, $24.63 Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod - stainless steel / with telescopic 510 contact pin at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping had 599 reviews and an average score of 4.7/5.

I finally weakened and gave in to peer pressure...my $25.68 Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod (Mixed Edition) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping should be arriving this week. :)

I will say after receiving my stingray clone I don't really see me ordering another mechanical from FT

well, maybe another stingray, but yea. everything you like about the nemesis and a prettier package with the magnet upgrade already included.

i suppose if you didn't care for the engraving that's one thing but i do like it over the angel. the button is almost objectively nicer looking so don't question it

Watch the top cap. My contact pin and insulator came out of mine. Not a deal breaker, but something to be careful of when you're screwing attys and contacts together.

I've just been lazy with mine and not put any epoxy on it to keep it permanent together. Still works no problem, but just something to watch for.

Thought I'd mention for those that don't know it, that ordering batteries from FastTech slows the shipping process quite a bit. Basically, it took a month from when FT shipped to get to my mailbox.

I wasn't in a big hurry for them and the pricing was very decent so the time waiting really wasn't a huge issue for me.

My Fasttech order shipped March 6, via Singapore Post. Tracking shows Despatched Overseas. But when I plug the tracking number into USPS, it still only ever says "origin post preparing shipment". Is this normal?

It was for my latest order which was shipped via Singapore. It seems like forever, then all of sudden a few days later, it's in San Francisco. (Today) Hopefully it's found its way thru US customs and I'll have it this Wednesday.
