The EGO-C Type-A Atomizer Heads (5-Pack) -- the eRoll uses these also, but everywhere else they're like $17 or more... at fasttech only $4.34... I just wanted to make sure they're ok; I subscribe heavily to the maxim that if it looks too good to be true, it usually is. But I see lots of you buying other FastTech stuff, so I figured this group was the right group to ask.

Well, since no one here had anything to say about these, I looked at the reviews at FastTech; the upshot is that they're really not suitable for the eRoll, so I guess I'm stuck with the $17-odd real ones. *sigh*

You didn't mention if your son shipped APO which goes through customs at the originating shipper. However, Air Mail from Japan is also pretty quick, but depending on weight you pay through the nose. Also your package was given directly to USPS. FT ships thousands of packages a day and they have to ship them to several different cities like Shenzen, Singapore, HK, etc.
the majority of these packages are 1st class so the Priority and other more expensive methods go on the plane first. Then if there's room they'll toss the 1st class in the containers. A three week wait for discount tech goods with free shipping is a bargain. You'd spend a minimum of 25-50% more plus shipping charges in the US and even more in Europe.

That really don't explain it at all ... Both the FastTech package from China and my son's package from Japan [both] go via the airlines to the United States. Then go via USPS ground transportation to my house in Florida after clearing US Customs.

In all reality, the shipping time should be pretty close for both of them ... but it is not.
__________________________________

My question is: Where is the 2 week delay happening at if both packages ship out at the same time, and both are using the same modes of transportation (airlines across the pond, and ground within the US)

It just don't make any sense

Whats up with those new bats they just listed? Are the VTC4s the best of the bunch?? There is a Samsung ICR that is 32A 3000mah.... Is that legit?
I'm waiting for the specs on that one. It's one thing to risk money on a new atty or mod, battery safety is something else. There is an LG ~2500-2600 mAh out there somewhere that is supposed to be the bee's knees in terms of max amp draw and low internal resistance, but the VTC4's are just fine with me. It's just a matter of charging the batteries a little sooner. mAh ratings aren't everything, I get the same run time from Panasonic 18650PF (2900 mAh) as Sony VTC4 (~2150 mAh). It depends on how much you're asking the batteries to provide, some folks will notice the difference and some won't.

More importantly, will any of these batteries make it to the USA, or will Malaysia post stop shipping them like everyone else?

Former clove smoker, huh? Same here.
I've discovered that clove flavor juice always tastes like a clove cig smells, before being lit. Never like the smoke inhale.

Curt.
yeah I was an avid clove smoker which is why I got interested into vaping....but now....so many flavors ;)

if you diy i did get somewhat close, it needs tweeking and adjusting but it was the first time I was happy with a clove vape
Shadav's Clove

I also got this from FT last time and it's ok, better than most other clove juices I've tried...more of the spice clove instead of sweet clove
$1.67 Dekang E-liquid for Electronic Cigarettes (10ml) - clove flavor / nicotine 24mg/ml at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
the thing is to remember though there is more to a clove cig than just clove (usually clove, java, anise, ect)

$15.68 Panasonic NCR18650B Rechargeable 3400mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping I just ordered these instead of worrying about the new ones, cause I already know they work and are awesome.
I got a battery delivery earlier in the week, took 3 weeks to Hawaii via Malaysia so no complaints there.
Fixed that for ya. :)

Seriously, please stop doing that folks. Figure out how to post links via http, not https, and use a link with a description not just the FT stock number. It's not that hard, and sharing any other way is not helpful.

Sorry, that was rude.

ICRs aren't safer chemistry, and not high drain (as far as I know). I seriously doubt that they are 32a. The VTC4s are the best, unless the new 35a Efests turn out to be the new king of the hill.

Just because "ICR" is in the name does not exclude the battery from being a hybrid. Unfortunately, battery specs take more research than just looking at the provided nomenclature. Companies like Efest tend to make it too easy, stamping "IMR" on everything. I'll bet there's a little cobalt in their 35a batteries as well.

Took the day off and sent my SVD to the Miami receptacle. Hope to see the replacement clone in a month or two.

Not wanting to be overly snarky, but neither the SVD you sent to Miami nor the replacement you'll be receiving are clones. FT does not sell SVD clones. They sell authentic Innokin SVDs. Just saying.:)

The 32 simply indicates it is a 3200mAh battery, for example the 2600mAh Samsung that comes with the evic is an ICR18650-26F

*Googled the specs, looks like it's rated to 6.4A discharge.

That looks just like the Sigelei clone. The top pin does not move, it can be dealt with but it's a pain. Otherwise, it's a great mod in general, once you sand all the contacts back to brass.

In my experience, (owning 3 Smok Naturals), you need 2 18500 extension tubes to use the Natural with an 18650 and a "Kick". I know it sucks, but it's the truth. I didn't believe others at first and found out the hard way. I tried every other combination of tubes.

On the right is 18650 with a "Kick"^

And since I'm having fun with silly picks...

Thanks for looking that up. The Panasonic 18650PD or PF are the best rated mAh for 10 amp continuous that FT offers. If you want a good ~30 amp battery from FT, Sony VTC3 or VTC4 are the batteries to get IMO. I'm still waiting for them to carry the right LG 30a at ~2500 mAh, but they don't have it AFAIK. 2150 mAh or 2500... who really cares. Let's see the discharge curves, oh mighty flashlight forum gurus. :)
