One thing to try on burnt tasting coils is to let them soak in white vinegar for a day. Works for me. YMMV.

might be worth a try,,,,,althugh some of them have been burnt right out of the package,,,,,,

sigh, not sure what I'm doing wrong,,,,I just know that if I'm messing around this much, I might as well be messing with my OWN,,,

one problem might be that I really PREFER 2.4 ohms heads and roughly 4.1 volts,,,,,

the highest ohms Iclear makes is 2.1,,,,,,,,which often read 2.0,,,,,,so I have to turn the heat wayyyyyyyyy down. you wouldnt' think it would make THAT big of a difference, would you?

it does. sigh.

If you can wrap a coil you can set up a kayfun, watch some vids, ask for advice if unsure.

These days for people I'm helping switch I'm reccomending kayfuns and the taifun GS,I build the coil and they just have to dry burn and rewick while they build the confidence and knowledge to do it themselves. It's worked really well so far and they don't have to go through the clearo stage.

thank you,,,,,

unfortunately,,,,*I* know more than the brick and mortars around here,,,,,,

I had to show ONE of them that a Twist,,,,,,,,,well,,,,,it TWISTS!

Got a tracking number but the site (singapore post) has tracking issues ;/

Try here for tracking : http://www.17track.net/index_en.shtml

Once you hit track and your info comes up go to the lower right and click " details " that will give you a comprehensive list.

From Singapore if FT shipped it Swiss Post and your east of the Mississippi, it will take about 2 weeks to get to Geneva and then about three days to get to US Customs at JFK. It's a roll of the dice on how long it will take in Customs before they ship to your local PO.

Are the parts interchangeable?

And please include how the quality of the vape differs, if at all.

Thanks btw

Will try to swap some more pieces tomorrow morning. Just a quick check before bedtime: The genuine cap fits the clone but not the other way around. Might be able to force it on, but I don't want it to eat my o-rings. Have not tried vaping the same liquid in both, so can't make any good comparison of flavor, etc... All I can say is they both vape very well. Gotta say; the clone on a Hammer clone with a long driptip has been my most used at-home setup for a couple of weeks now.

Should probably mention... I'm talking about this one: $12.92 Kraken Genesis Style Rebuildable Atomizer (2.5mL) - glass tank / stainless steel / air flow control at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
There is a newer one, but based on the discussions, the newer one has a screw-on cap and is smaller diameter. Seems people aren't all too happy about it.

Yes you can.

thank you :D

what does everyone suggest for Kanthal for someone who wants to build 2.4 ohms (roughly),,,,,,and what size drill bit should I build it on?

I know some of it is just trial and error,,,,,but somewhere to start, if anyone knows, would really help,,,,,

most of the vids I'm watching are people wanting to sub ohm,,,I do not want to do that,,,,,,

8 wraps 32 gauge wire around something about 2mm in diameter. (maybe 7 wraps - test)

I use 7 or 8 wraps of 28gauge around a 2mm drill bit for 1.2-1.3ohms so the same with 32gauge would probably put you in the ballpark.

So, it has been two s since I have ordered anything from china. what is the quickest method lately to the US? When I last used them it was the Epacket. Is that still the best way? I live in Kansas by the way. Thank you.

Yes epacket is the best way to go, my last 3 orders have taken under 10 days to get to me once shipped.

CommaHolly, it's good to see you again!

Kayfuns are an excellent choice and easy to build - if I can do it, and I'm a snarky little old lady (as everybody knows), then you can do it a hundred times better. :) There's a double-S wick build out there somewhere on YouTube that I use. I'll try to find the link for you.

As to which model: I second the opinion that you would like either the 3.1 or the Russian 91 the best to begin with. I also recently got a Lite, but it's been acting up a bit while my other two have been consistently perfect.

So, I can recommend either $26.70 Russian 91% Styled Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping or the $24.38 Kayfun v3.1 ES Styled Rebuildable Atomizer Kit (4.5mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

12 wraps 30ga on metal juice bottle drip needle tip = approx 2.0, 5-6wraps 32ga for 2.0Ω (my target resistance for almost all my builds has been 2.0Ω...
