yes, thicker wire will generally have lower resistance (inverse proportion)
sooooooooo the thicker the wire, the LOWER the gauge?? (I thought the opposite LOL)

oy, I never was any good at science,,,,,,,when I decided to do this, I knew the first thing I had to buy was a meter so I didn't try and blow myself up

Question:

I ordered a Mod from FastTech back on 10 Feb. When I ordered it, it said that this item ships within 10 days.

My order status indicates that it still has not shipped ... When they say that it ships within 10 days, does that mean it's not even in stock when I placed my order?

Thanks,

Correct it means they don't have the item in their warehouse. They have an arrangement with the manufacturer so that when they place an order the manufacturer will deliver it to FT within 10 business days.

Note the term business days... that means only Monday thru Friday count, weekends excluded.

If you ordered Feb 10... depending on your time of day it may have been Feb 11 in Hong Kong already. That means FT should have it in their hands by Feb 25. Assuming the manufacturer meets their committed delivery time. So... with luck and the winds in your favor it "should" ship any day now...

Likely, yes.

They estimate shipping based on previous experience with suppliers. Sometimes it ships quicker, sometimes slower.

Best not to rely too heavily on FTs shipping estimates.

I order stuff then forget about it, if something doesn't show up within 2 months I'll contact them. So far this hadn't happened though.

don't you have to boil cotton, though?????

initially, I never did. I couldn't taste it. now, I absolutely can taste the cotton (at first, like 30 minutes or so) if I don't boil the cotton.

I boil cotton for about 30 minutes, let it dry between paper towels, and fill a separate baggie that lasts months. not a big deal in the least.

makes sense to boil it all at once and then keep it zip loc'd, thanks!

the bags I get from Rite-Aid are huge. It's not really feasible to boil the entire bag at once. I do boil enough to last quite a while and keep it separate from the un-boiled bag, obviously.

I would try it out without boiling to see if you notice a difference. I couldn't tell for about 1.5 months. I definitely can now.
