But be careful, I put on a different drip tip and cracked it at the top.

Just to let you know the helio afc ring is only drilled out on one side. I know its not a big deal but just wanted to let you know if you didn't already.

Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using Tapatalk 2

Just checked and sure enough you're right. The cap is drilled but the ring isn't. What's crazy is I thought I had found another to add to the list of double drilled RDAs on ft. It's amazing how few there are on the site. Tridents and Omegas are, and I think just a couple others are. Not much. It's why my Patriot is only doing duty as single coil. Time to get the dremel out.

On another note. I guess this is why ft waits 2 months before giving you a refund.

Two weeks and it never showed that it was even in US. Suddenly it shows up here and out for delivery. Nice. That one has an Omega in it and I can get to building dual coils.

Update on my first (and probably last) FastTech order:
Ordered: 02/08
Shipped: 02/20

Giving credit where credit is due: tracking number was given.

Processed: 03/12 through sort facility, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. I do believe this is finally in the hands of USPS.

I think I'm only a few weeks away now at this point. On second thought, that could be the wait time to make it though customs. I think I should have my package in maybe another 3 or 4 weeks. YEA BABY! lol

For a total of $8.61 I say this is a dam good steal.

IGO stock cap has one hole in it that's a tighter draw than a clogged up carto. But PMMA top cap has two holes for dual coil that isn't a bad draw. Just don't sub ohm without drilling them out more. I put a 1 ohm single coil of twisted 30 gauge and the airflow is great. Awesome flavor and vapor.

The Omega has some good and bad. Holes in posts are so low getting thicker wire through them is a pain. And they are so small that you couldn't put two 26 gauge through it on center post for dual coils.

I'll have to work it a bit but mine sit above the air holes so it heats real freaking fast at .4 ohms. But the holes are generously HUGE. Tons of airflow. Other than the well being IMO too deep, the only problem, which to me is kinda big, the cap spins way too freely. Just grabbing it you can close the holes off and tighten your draw or close completely. Have to check it every time you use it.

Other than some other nick nacks that came today, I can only say this.....

GET THE NEMESIS SWITCH MAGNETS

It will be the best thing you can ever do with your nemesis. I got one ten pack and am getting another. Two of them I tried didn't fit and I used three total. No more janky switch that clicks randomly and doesn't work sometimes. I can even set it standing up unlocked and doesn't fire. So nice now.

I've been looking at getting a mechanical mod, but not looking to spend $100+ for it. Can any of you point me in the right direction? I was looking at something like the M16, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Edit: Also, I just got an RDA and I was wondering what advantages there are to having different drip tips (if any), and if so, which are recommended.

no just like that. no reel nothing.
about different gauges. the thicker the wire, the lower the resistance but also the higher the RESPONSE TIME. if you twist a thin wire you have a fairly quick response time with a low resistance. that's why i go for twisted thin wire, and this one from FT works real nice

My thinking exactly.... I have 20M incoming! ;)

The only downside I see to the twisted wire is that it seems to gum up much faster with dark liquids. I did compare coils of the same resistance built with 24 gauge wire vs. twisted 33 gauge. The twisted wire coils performed just as you said, much, much faster heating time.

Is it usual that they change shipping days/status?
Ordered nemmy on 3rd/3 it said it would be shipped 10th. Now it's changed to 18th and on the nemmy page it still says 7 biz days....
Tad annoying :( I hope they ship it at the 18th...

lol, welcome to the wonderful world of shopping at FastTech. Happens a LOT.
