I've been looking at getting a mechanical mod, but not looking to spend $100+ for it. Can any of you point me in the right direction? I was looking at something like the M16, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Edit: Also, I just got an rda and I was wondering what advantages there are to having different drip tips (if any), and if so, which are recommended.

Yes to the M16, V3 or similar mod. My first mod was a stainless steel King... nice, but really slick and the weight was like carrying a Colt .45 handgun around. Then I bought an aluminum V3 like this one $11.59 V3 Style Mechanical Mod - floating 510 center pin / aluminum+brass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping and it has become my main mod. It's light, hits had and is actually a good bit more compact.

Drip tips? Eh... it's what you like, really. I prefer ones with a large enough hole that I can drip into the tip without removing it. I've had plastic tips just crumble, so I stay with metal ones. The long ones cool the vapor down too much for my liking (some people like the effect).

Made my order 2/28, a large order can't even remember all I ordered, but one thing said 5 days till ship, then after about 10 days it came in and was up for restocking. Policy says they will ship separate if that happens, that was 2 days ago. Still nothing shipped. Said they would split if I wanted! Why ask, it's policy! So 2 wks later nothing shipped, everything but 1 item out of I think like 12 was a ship in 2 days. I have asked 4 times now, for a ship date, they will not give me one. If my order doesn't ship by end of week I'm canceling. And these items better come in perfect or they are all going back. Even if they are all perfect, I'll probably never order from them again. Nothing but run around when asking for ship date. A shame, I'd heard only mostly good. But after this, I'm sticking to us vendors only I think.

Is it usual that they change shipping days/status?
Ordered nemmy on 3rd/3 it said it would be shipped 10th. Now it's changed to 18th and on the nemmy page it still says 7 biz days....
Tad annoying :( I hope they ship it at the 18th...

lol, welcome to the wonderful world of shopping at FastTech. Happens a LOT.

What he said. On my side it normally happens the other way around. It ships sooner rather than later. But it's always USPS that f's things up. ft has been nothing but nice to me.

This is an example. My copper Nemesis order had it as shipping the 28th, it went to the 27th, now it's at the 26th. And this
$6.31 Taurus Style Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - POM at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
It says it ships in seven days. But I've had it since the 11th and it says it's scheduled date is the 21st. I don't get mad about the dates. I just get happy when I get orders in less than a month. But I normally have 2 orders in transit, and 2 in progress, I'm not normally fretting over an order cause I have multiple incoming.

This watch is actually pretty cool. The metal doesn't look cheap, and it's definitely a conversation piece. Just waiting for a link remover kit (also from china, couple bucks) and I'll be gravy.

Thanks for the scissors and watch. I've been looking at those for a bit now. Wondered if they were any good. May just have to get them now.

Funny thing about the watch, I've recently seen it on other sites on clearance for 20 dollars. Laughed at that price cause of what ft sells it for. You got a link for the link remover. For the price you said, that's what it would cost to get a it done at a store and I would have the remover for future watches.

HEY! You're only supposed to post negative stories here!!! JK
Out of all the people that are waiting and waiting, I wonder, did you choose Free Shipping?
With Free Shipping, you get what you don't pay for! LOL

Well it's free shipping on orders over 20 bucks. I've paid for shipping many times on orders under 20 bucks. Most I recall was 66 cents on a 14 dollar order. So you're paying for it. They just give you free shipping with so much purchase. And I recently had a priority 2 day shipment take 5 business days coming from Michigan to Texas. My order from Wizard Labs shipped free priority and I'm getting it later today and it shipped a couple days ago.

Depending on how anxious I would be, I think next I will pay for shipping. If I made a 50-100 order, I wouldn't mind paying 10-15.00 if it meant receiving it in 10 business days. That have told me Free shipping is the slowest and could take 30 day or more :( I would also look for the same item 'locally' and pay a reasonable difference to get it sooner. I wish I had all this wisdom my first time around!

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I've been waiting on a couple batteries for going on a month (ordered 2/14) but they actually shipped on 2/18. Malaysia... humbug. It's all good though - the batteries I have still work, still last me up to 2 days.
$15.68 Panasonic NCR18650B Rechargeable 3400mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Edit Just checked Package Buddy, and they'll be here today. Sweeeet!

I've ordered a few things through the free airmail when it was just a little thing, but that's pretty silly. Takes over a month to get here, and by the time it does, I've most likely already placed and received another order with "real" shipping.

Yea, I see the watch all over too.... discounted from $70 or something crazy like that. I think the men's style has a bigger face, which would be waaaay too long for my tiny tiny wrists. I'll probably wind up removing 4 links.

Don't know if this is any good, but even with just 1 use, it'll more than pay for itself.

Yea, paying for shipping upgrades on an under $20 order is super cheap and absolutely worth it. Epacket or Hong Kong Post seem to be the fastest.

Hah! Somehow it gives me great pleasure to see that immensely overpriced piece of gear get cloned. Pick and pluck foam in a standard-issue Pelican case... for a $500 mod? I'd expect a hand-crafted wooden box and a mod hand-chiseled out of a solid block of titanium gold alloy for that price. OK maybe not... but still :D

Ugh!1 Really hating the ship times now.. got use to the short ship times I had last year, some of which were 9 days from order to door! This 30 days PLUS PLUS PLUS is getting horrid LOL. Had 4 separate orders I made, based on what the items were and "ship time".. Batteries went out their door 1st.. :O Thought it would be the last... Items with 3 days to 5 days went out in 2.. and the "In Stock" items FINALLY shipped 2 days ago (30 days after order...)

On the plus side, I've been dropping product requests on them the last 3 days.. Last nights request will make the hardware DIYers drool, as it was Approved and sent straight to purchasing!
