Yep, it was all fun, games and blacklists until that Army Colonel stood up and said, " Mr. Chairman, have you no honor?" Didn't see much of "Tailgunner Joe" after that. Thank God. To bad it's come round again wearing a different face. We need a modern day Army Colonel.

It is International Labor Day. Soviet Russia celebrated it with great parades. Russia stages first Red Square May Day parade since Soviet days | Reuters The Chinese changed Revolution to evolution, but they still celebrate the holiday. Even Catholics dedicate the day to St. Joseph the Workman.

Kids these days, just don't know about things their elders lived through. I was even alive during the McCarthy era. Wonder if they know anything about that?

Have 3 Vision Spinners in 1300. A couple are over a year old and still going strong. Can't speak to other "brands", but I've been happy with Vision.

Have a couple Ego-C Twists, not as old, but work fine. But harder to read the dial.

So as long as they're "genuine" or "authentic", should be good.

Got a link to what you bought? Ft has a hundred of them.

From what I've read they are fine just don't get Evod style brand ( Clone ) batteries. They have a tendency to explode when overcharged.

Doh:facepalm:, ANY li-ion battery will tend to explode if over charged. That is why chargers are supposed to cut out at a pre-set voltage. i.e. 4.2v for single cell 3.7v batteries.:)

Always purchase decent quality chargers. Avoid 99 cent specials.

That's good to know. I dislike shiny brass, so the quicker it acquires a patina, the happier I'll be. Since about half the items are in transit to FT, I had them split the order, and may have them split it again (since the Kayfun 3.1 won't ship until the 16th). The Orochi and Paps share 20:1 threading, so I might mix and match top caps and switches. :)

Here's the Paps clone with 4 days of patina. Maybe it will help with knowing what to expect. It was pretty much polished when it came.

and here's my other fasttech setup since I'm posting pics.

Thanks. Was looking to get her a good deal. I'll do some more ratings hunting, she's the type of person that gets confused with the menu of a inokin vv3.

I hope you find something good for a decent price. I've had terrible luck with all the ego style batteries I've gotten from FT and Deal Extreme. I've never tried the spinner style just standard fixed voltage. None lasted more than a month, and that was with light use. I wish I had a good recommendation ya man, but I've given up on cheap egos and just pay extra for my little 450 mah egos from a place that I trust.

I have 3 Twist-style egos still from my first purchases at FT - the ones I've had the longest are at least 8 months old. Although I only use them now to power little drippers and for travelling light, so far they've been fine. I haven't broken any of them yet. :)

For the price, I think they're good, cost-effective buys. I'm considering getting a 1300 spinner-type just to see how it is, and to have as a back up for my myriad backups and for traveling. This one has caught my eye: $14.26 Vision Spinner Style 1300mAh Variable Voltage Battery - 3.3-4.8V at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping but my present ones will probably be enough.

Would I buy an 'original authentic'? No. Definitely not. For a couple of dollars more, you could get an iTaste V.3 or even an MVP2.

interesting...thing is you would have to do is lock down the firing pin on the mechanical and use the push button on the head

I wonder how you set the variable wattage on that thing...hmmmm

You turn the dial. It's not a button, it's the vw dial.

Yeah I think thats just the vw dial and u use the normal (weather it be side or bottom) firing button

It's an APV...it needs constant supply of voltage to "stay on" only when the fire button is pressed does it open the MOSFET regulators and push the PWM to the head...its VERY stressful on buck/boost circuits to turn em on and off like that

It has an oled screen which means it has "intelligence" you have to click it to turn it on...then it goes into "standby" until you fire it
Just like a Vamo...5 rapid clicks to turn on, the "system on" scrolls by then you vape...take the battery out and you will have to 5 rapid clicks again to turn it on...

Menu Instructions:

Menu 1 Adjust Power up: “1.Uu” -- Voltage up & “1.Pu” -- Wattage up

Menu 2 Adjust Power: “2.Ud” -- Voltage down & “2.Pd” -- Wattage down

Menu 3 Power ON/OFF: “3.S.o” -- “S.on” - “ON” & “S.oF” - “OFF”, when “OFF” show “---”

Menu 4 Battery Check: “4.Uc” -- Voltage check of battery

Menu 5 Display info setting during vaping: “5.ds” -- Display change
“d.o” output voltage or opearating wattage;
“d.R” atomizer resistance;
“d.u” battery voltage

Menu 6 LED ON /OFF: “6.Lo” LED Display -- “L.on” - “ON” & “L.oF” - “OFF”

Menu 7 Wattage or Voltage adjust: “7. UP” -- “Uo” - adjust voltage & “Po” - adjust wattage

8. All these operations should be performed with in 2 seconds of pressing the button

9. “F1” will read on the screen when there is a short circuit; "F2" will read on the screen when the output resistence is lower than 1.2ohm; When the input voltage is over 9V, the screen will read "HHH"

10. When a using a single battery and the voltage is lower than 3.3V, or if using double batteries lower than 6.0V, the screen will read "LoU". The batteries will require charging at this point.

Unless it's some new type of critter...I haven't been really keeping track of the new hotness out there...my Vamo V3 is still trucking

Guess I will check out PBusardo's video
