Well crap, I was about to place an order but it looks like FT isn't shipping batteries again?
I could send them by boat, but they not only have to get to the US by boat, but then would have to get on another boat to get here - 4 months maybe? Nah.
I really don't like the idea of paying 2x as much plus shipping from somewhere else. *grumbles*
I have a $20 GC burning a hole in my pocket, but all I really want right now are a couple 18350s, and

I've been looking at them - they're beautiful and not clunky like other RBAs. I hear they're less prone to leak and easier to build (like with U wicks), since both wick holes are on one side - it'll only leak if you lay it on the WRONG side, or upside-down. Plus when you tilt to wick when the tank's almost empty, you actually hit both wicks with one tilt. It's on my very long wish list.

It seems a couple of people are complaining about the way the air flow channels are cut out on it and it's likelihood of leaking as a result

I admit I looked at getting one when I was right into genesis style tanks but I'm fairly much set on drippers, much easier to set up, great flavor and dripping isn't all that difficult. Still want to try my hand at something in a genesis set up in auto dripper mode though

I put the order in and now I'm super excited about the brass monkey. It's already packaging so I shouldn't have to wait long. Got a couple of purple efest 18350s off of ebay for about $10, so I'm happy with the whole situation.
And now I'm done buying stuff forever.

I ordered .8ohm coil heads for my Aerotank Mega (also purchased from FT) but they sent me the V2 instead of the V3 heads. The v2's had issues with not wicking enough fluid and burning up. I ordered 10 coils and already burnt up 2 of them.

And now I'm done buying stuff forever.

What I usually do is place the order, then put it on hold and put in a ticket. That makes the request and the item and your order all linked and easy to understand. Usually they'll be able to make sure you're getting the right version - if they don't have it, just cancel the order.

That looks like it would sit quite proud of the top of a box mod... I was thinking it was a flush mount style of connector you were looking at kind of like the FDV one

Agreed. It wouldn't be flush on top. I make small mods, a 14500 on one side, and small atty inside the box the other, so only the drip tip is sticking out the top. Hobbies are fun.

I was just thinking how I might try this myself. So, went to Mad Vapes to look at the innards of their little box mod kit to see how easy it might be to adapt. I love the idea of a box/gripper style mod with the atty down inside. But, Mad Vapes no longer sells them!

It's the end of an era! Their simple little box mod was my very first mod 3 1/2 years ago.

But, I love the idea of making one myself. The problem with the gripper mods that I've seen already made is that the atty is down inside where you can't get to it. If I made one out of one of those little AA battery boxes, I could open it up to mess with the atty when needed.

Well, off to the modding forum.

I found it! It's a NicoStick!

Built almost exactly like a NicoStick. The instructions on the modding forum (too lazy to link because it's late) for that mod are awesome. I'm more of an RDA gal these days and that idea was from the cartomizer days, but the same general design works for the short 14mm drippers. Added bonus - they fit like a glove because the enclosure is built for a battery exactly that diameter.

Anyone ever try to sand down the positive connector on either the Dome or the 3D? The way they make the Nemesis switch stick out is a huge pain in the OCD.
