What a drag. My SQ-R keeps getting pushed back. First it was "ships in 5," then it was ETA 10/7, now it's ETA 10/13. Holding up a whole mess of other stuff.

They have changed the date when the rebate points will be converted to gift certs. Saw a post on the FT forum by Geek saying it will be Nov 10 since it is a bigger job than they thought.

That is the norm for the clones of the Erlkonigin, but people have said you can get a glass tank from IBT tanked and will work with them, but I am only going by what others have said, and even if got to buy a glass tank separate, still a good deal.

Oh okay, gotcha. I've only cancelled one order that was constantly changing it's shipping date status, and I just did it for credit even then because I just turned around and bought something else that shipped same day, lol.

Usually once it gets to packaging, the "cancel item" button goes away.
I probably would have bought it eventually because the switch is apparently so heavenly. Also, I want to try my hand at a cool mustard patina. Problem is, if I really like it, I'll have to get an RDA to match. And a drip tip. Life is cruel.
I'm still primarily using the cheapo brass monkey. I just can't get the hang of building the origen quite right, even though i really want to love it. Also, I need to drill out the airholes just a smidge, but me and power tools are not friends.

Woohoo! Mine's in packaging finally! The SQ-R came in but the coil jig went into restocking, so I cancelled it and reordered the black one that popped up the day after I ordered the silver one. Yikes, $1.60 for shipping!
Dang, I should've done that the day the black one popped up (comes with one extra mandrel size). Then they could've gotten here at the same time. I think I'm gonna need the 3mm mandrel for the SQ-R now, with the wide deck...

I hear ya times two on that. I have several K's I would love to drill out a bit, but knowing me, I'd end up with a hole in my hand and a broken Kayfun. LOL

You just need one of these: Alloy Aluminium Light Mini Table Vise BD QLM 8006 Clamp | eBay

I can drill out holes if the thing was clamped down, but I could never do it with just the thing in my hand.
Then use cobalt bits.

Well I ordered 2 of the Erlkonigins and a Sat22 today. The Erlkonigins were ordered separately, cause one was ships next day, The other 7 days, so I split em up, so I could get one of them here to play with asap. So now I have 4 packages coming on the slow boat. LOL

Yes I did. I bought the $20 "in stock" one with good reviews from folks in the UK, and the cheap "ships in 10 days" one as spare parts. I couldn't pass up the metal drip tip, cone drip tip adapter, and wide hole airflow pole... Hopefully the parts are interchangable.

It's a fantastic mod. Usually the only thing wrong with them is the switch nut needs to be countersunk slightly to prevent tabletop wobble.
