Fellas! Anyone have the orange ultrafire xsl 18350 1200mah? $5.33 UltraFire 18350 3.7V 1200mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
i want to take out my svd and vamo in short mode, theyre friggin huge! :)
Any feedback on these or any other 18350 from ft would be much appreciated. thnx

Wrong battery type for an APV like a VAMO. You need to use high-drain batteries to power the chip, otherwise you could get a really weak vape. Stick with IMR batts with variable power devices, such as ones made by Efest and AW, or safe-chemistry like certain Panasonic batts (though they only come in 18650 size I think).

Wow, not a good day for fasttech.

^^^Why? ^^^^

leaky bottles, labeling, rattling vv and wrong items in orders.

The VJ effect. Vapor Joes' senseless pimps of products he has pole barns full of yet not a clue about. Why couldn't he just stick to porn sites lol. FT was so much better before he came along and sent the masses. That crap he posted about Eric saying the X9 tank WAS glass was the end all IMO. Vendors offer the same discount with a simple Google search. His BS "codes" just give him a piece of the pie. End of Rant :toast:

Guess it really depends on the Mod and how Gard you want to Drive it.
eVic has no issues running Ultrafire 18350 1200mah at my usual 7w output. Last longer than my Efest 800mah IMR's
In my Vamo Efest last longer.

Ruh roh, does that mean UltraFire 14500's are bad for a VV Rider Robust? I know someone said this brand is not recommended due to QC/recycling issues, but is it *bad*? I seem to get the same level of vape I did with the AW batteries that came with it.

Depends on how much current you need to draw from the battery. Protected batts like the Ultrafire can only handle a pretty low amp draw, so 7 watts may work fine, but probably not much higher. Then there's the safety issues of li-ion batts that blow up instead of vent like IMRs, but that's a personal decision.

Looks like that package had a rough trip, might be what happened to the rest of the liquid from that bottle. FT does need to package some of the stuff they sell a little better. I got 5 of those pyrex DCT's in my last order and they didn't even bother to put any bubble wrap on them. They all survived the trip, I am not sure if that means they are rugged or I got lucky.

I also had them send me the wrong item with similar sku numbers. I got an evod instead of the vivi nova that I ordered, at least those are somewhat similar, from the same department at least. They were pretty good at working with me to resolve the issue, even if it did take a week because of the time difference.

I am a little curious what you think about that charging bag. With all the story's that have been popping up lately about battery's exploding during charging I am starting to get a little paranoid. Might be getting one of those soon.

The bag seems robust but TBH I just want my pyrex tank lol. I feel uber confident with my pannies and NiteCore charger but in the slightest chance something would happen... I have a rad homeowners policy :D

I don't know if there's a QC issue, I've just heard protected batts are the wrong type for APVs, since they usually need to draw more power than protected batteries are meant to deliver. I personally feel safer with high-drain batteries that have a safer chemistry. When something goes wrong with protected li-ion batts, it REALLY goes wrong.

Am I missing something, or is the only difference between the regular ego batteries and the led blue light batteries is that the led's also a mini flashlight?

My husband has agreed to give ecigs a try. YAY! I have tried and tried to convince him to just get some spinners like I have, but he wants 650mah egos. Does anyone have some quick buying advice for me? I apologize if this is redundant but this is a BIG thread!

Thanks!

 Saw the red K101 body only... had to get it. haha I wasn't diggin' the purple as much as I thought I was (and I really like purple). The champagne would have been nice. :p Immediately got rid of it when I saw the red show up on VaporJoes.

And now, the wait...

you have a link to that one?

There ya go:

$23.78 Empire KeCig K100-101 Mechanical Rechargeable Electronic Cigarette - red / no battery at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

So sexay. :p

Edit: Maybe I should have said "mod only?" I couldn't think of the word at the time of the OP.

Nice color! I like the gold too. I own the coffee color K101 (listed as brown at FT) that exhalevapors had for a great price a little bit back, and it's a great mech for the price. I like it more than I thought I would, has a nice solid feel and very little voltage loss. Also has eGo threading so I use it with an eVod when out and about.

What makes you think those are protected? I think if they're protected FT says they're protected.
But for these the question is asked and answered by FT staff.

geek Staff: Sirius9 is right, these are NOT protected.

They also say those do work in Vamos.

If they are li-ion batteries and not protected that would be worse, do NOT use unprotected li-ion batteries in mods. Those Ultrafire's are probably protected, but I still wouldn't use them.

There aren't high-drain batteries available at the high of a mAh. High-drain's are recommended for the VAMO. It may work, but I wouldn't use it.

Then are they IMRs?

If they're not protected, then they should work in the Vamo.

But, it they are not IMRs and they are not protected, they should not be used in ANY mod.

Exactly, and these definately are NOT IMR batteries. If they are protected, they may work but probably not very well. If the are unprotected li-ion, they shouldn't be used period.
