It's a shame really how these online vendors are crying so hard now. Thank god for fasttech i remember when i had now started with ego i had to order almost $200 worth of attys just to keep me buy. Only cause i was scared to order from health cabin but decided to ask them if a certain website purchase from them and there respond was yes. After that i never trust many online vendors who double/triple there prices for the same products.. Especially local shops in newyork such as Vape New York - New York's choice for e-cigarettes they carry innokin mvp for $100 for the battery/charger alone

Most expensive vamo I've ever seen
And it's v2

you can buy v2(v3) kit +v3+mech mod with that money

I know right if you look at the CASAA Newyork video both store owners are trying to represent the vapeing community trying to prevent the ban of flav eliquid and there sad story is about elderly vapers who visit their store daily who cannot use the internet or haven't a clue about online stores.. I laugh at that comment they made cause i feel sorry for the same elderly people who are getting milked from these people... It's a shame your'e trying to help this product become a life saver but yet trying to own a yacht in the same process.

Of course you didn't like the 801, everyone knows the RN4072's are much better. Geez. :D

My main problem with the 801/4072 was the filler and the spitting and leaking and the dry hits (OK, make that problemS). I didn't see where a bigger battery would've fixed the problems so I didn't get sucked into mods. I quit and didn't come back until I saw the eGo-C type designs because everyone was focused on the thing that mattered the least and selling what amounted to flashlights for big money. Even the carto tanks didn't pull me back because all I saw was filler (although being spammed with a carto tank is what got me looking to find the eGo-C and clearo tanks).

You mean I shouldn't get the x-ray glasses from FastTech? I suppose these night vision glasses aren't really night vision either.

Has anyone tried these? Body Slimming Silicone Magnetic Losing Weight Toe Ring (2-Pack)

After waffling over mechanical mods and batteries and chargers and wattage and ohms and blah blah blah I up and bought an MVP this afternoon.

Feels like the time I went to buy a Honda and came home with a Triumph.

I personally believe you made a good choice and are going to be quite happy. I don't even use my magical Provaris much at all anymore in favor of my MVP.

Points are valid, but US vendors are sortof like lawyers... we tend to want to throw rocks at them because we now know just how badly they have been taking advantage of us for so many years. Some may say the only reason they are so solidly opposed to legislation is to protect their business interests and that is probably true in most cases. However, like lawyers, having them on your side when you need them is a good thing and I like to split my loyalty for this reason.
I'm going to fasttech for my core devices like low-buck ego's, some tanks here and there and stuff I otherwise would have never bought or tried in the first place just because I don't really need it. I've even tried a lot of their liquids just because it's just so cheap I thought it was worth possibly making a nice discovery. I still (grudgingly) go to US vendors for all my replacement heads, chargers, batteries (IMR,s etc). I moved pretty much straight into DIY because the price of liquids are just ridiculous. But I do want to keep them around because they are of use to us.
5 years from now, I don't think there will be 5,000 US or UK suppliers/vendors. There will be maybe a dozen or so who have figured out how to stay afloat with more reasonable margins and markups. There is always someone who is willing to sell the product for a little less. I suggest that even current Fasttech pricing ( and maybe even fasttech themselves) will be a thing of the past because as cheap as we might think they are, they are still doubling/tripling their money on most of these items and there is a LOT of room left for the market to settle.

Made my weekly trek to B&M to pick up more Tribeca... Asked me where I had been as I'm always in there looking at his stuff and what I was using to vape this week. Whipped out the V3 and showed him my micro coils. He was impressed, but still tried selling me a Natural and kick.. No thanks, just Tribeca today. :)

Quick question, if using registered mail , do I have to sign for it? I'm in the US (Florida). I'm at work when the mailman runs and the Post Office is way out of my way and very crowded. Especially on weekends as that would be the only time I could make it there.

Sorry such a long thread to search through.

TIA

$14.24 Kamry X7 Mod E-Cigarette Battery Compartment
Does this mod have the normal protections or do I need a fuse? (I know its variable voltage but I'm used tho the Vamos, Etc and it doesn't list any protection specs in the description)
Can I use IMRs in this mod?
Good question Tatiana... I was looking at VV 14500 APV's and wondered if 14500 batteries needed to be IMR(high drain) or just "protected". From the description, I'm thinking the Kamry X7 is NOT VV or even regulated; it just shows batt voltage with the button LED color changing (white=full/blue=medium/red=low). For $14 I'm going to buy one anyway.

The Kamry eCab v2 IS variable volts (3.5V, 3.7V & high=current battery voltage), or at least regulated if not boosted. It's supposed to have circuit protection built in, as well as reverse polarity protection. Kind of limited, but if you've got 14500 batts it's worth $12 (I'm ordering one of these, too!)

Back to your original question(s)- No need for a fuse, but if it makes you feel better have at it. Protected batteries are ALWAYS a good idea. Unless you are 'pulling' HIGH Amps (i.e. high volts/low resistance), in which case you would want HIGH DRAIN (aka IMR) batteries, the APV circuitry should take care of the danger of over-discharge. That's when the gas & temperature produced inside the battery tend to cause hazards.
Of course IMR batteries offer advantages over regular Lithium batts, due to their chemistry in producing power. I just googled "imr lithium-ion battery" and read some forum posts under "LI-ION (PCB) OR IMR 18650 BATTERY?" at vaper space for good info. (I couldn't put that hyperlink here; guess ecf doesn't like the competition)
Hope this is helpful.
