What the FT people were trying to tell you nicely is that your package is in the enormous waiting pile at HK security waiting its turn to be xrayed and authorized. Imagine a mountain of packages from every single supplier shipping through HK and your innocent little package somewhere in the middle of it, waiting patiently for its turn.

:) Frustrating, yes. FT's fault, no. Bad luck, definitely.

Doesn't even matter at this point, as the damage is already done. I'm done wondering IF my product is going to ship, and IF it does will it actually work when it gets here.

As is with the Chinese though, most likely within a few days, someone will take notice when an important persons package is delayed and all that will magically start moving again.
The Chinese tend to only play by the rules when someone is watching and for monetary purposes, and right now that is most likely an international interest of some sort. As soon as that requirement is fulfilled or whatever is going on, normal commerce will most likely resume.

So, I ordered my Twist clone on the 4th, and since the day I ordered it, the tracking simply says "acceptance" with "hong kong international" beside it, as though it was simply accepted into their own mail system. What does this mean?

I just watched a documentary on goods from China, and I think what this all is, is the crackdown on counterfeit goods (and drugs). The documentary made a really good point that clones of virtually anything can be dangerous (extension chords that light on fire, shirts that have poison on them, medicine that has poison instead of simply being sugar pills, ect ect.)

It makes me wonder wether I should just give up my order now and buy a real Twist.

"The Chinese tend to only play by the rules when someone is watching and for monetary purposes,"

Sounds like the U.S. Congress, and most lower level burrocrats.

Am practicing patience, kindness, tolerance and love for my first FT order. Placed on about 4 Sept., "Shipped" by FT on 6 Sept., and
status= "Acceptance" in Hong Kong ever since 9 Sept.

Called USPS to find out what all of this means to USPS, and they were crisp, clear and cooperative. They told me that the 'acceptance' is by Hong Kong postal service, and that they know, and will know, no more than I do until it gets to the U.S. of A.

In the meantime, I've found some U.S. vendors for the Kanger Protank II and the eGo Twist C that are only about 15% pricier than FT,
and some domestic e-juice vendors that are just marginally more, or in one case less, costly than FT.

Yes, my order included mostly batteries and liquid, so I'm assuming it will be quite a while before I see it. Thus the replacement orders to domestic sources...

I'm a newbie, in every sense of the word but age, who was attempting to upgrade from cigalikes. If you live in Maine, there are NO bricks and mortar sources for anything but convenience store blister pack cigalikes, and most of them don't even sell cartomizers. Oh well...
At least I get to enjoy the enthusiasm of the folks posting here, as I slowly learn the new jargon.

Think I'll split a few cords of firewood while I wait for the FT order to (1) arrive, or (2)get cancelled.

Why do people always change what they read
This bites, bla bla bla.........

The Post Says consisting of ONLY E-liquid and/or Batteries

So, if you have a combination order, chances are it may well be passed through.

I've been waiting since 8-24...

That's nothing.

The Zen of FT is that it makes you meditate on your delivery - a lot - for a long time...

But then when it arrives you realise how much less you have paid than you would have done otherwise.

Nirvana!

If not, and you feel like comfort food, there's always this:

$7.72 DIY Microwave Potato Chips Baking Maker - white + yellow at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

:)

What bothers me most, is the fact I have received things from FT in 2 weeks! Registered!
Too funny loved the post! I'm just antsy at having my 2 SVD's... Oh well hope they make it!

I got an SVD with 2 Panasonic 18650's once in 9 days, order to mailbox. I expect that could start happening again sometime after the holidays are over.

Yeah, they spoiled me with that 1st order ... I think I ordered it on a Monday, it showed up the following Monday. That can rival some places in the states!

This is the actual regulation ... and it looks like it is packaging regulations, not forbidden goods.

http://www.hongkongpost.hk/eng/publications/guide/content/6.3.pdf

Properly packaged batteries and liquids should go thru just fine ... if the checkers actually know what they are doing.

From your link
