If you had to pick one the vamo, mvp or the svd which one would it be? I'm want to move up from my egos. I know I'm not ready to build so I'll need the whole package. I'm open to other suggestions as well. Wish I was mechanically inclined.

I ordered the vamo 3 from fastteck and really loved it and still do but IM starting to have problems with the 510 threading when connecting my RBA's still works ok with carto tanks and ego threads good everything else is great
I've read you can avoid that by using a 510 adaptor
I still see it as a great 1st mod

I prefer the SVD. I like the fact that I can set a smaller size with a 13500 battery or use a 18650, baton length, it's VV/VW if you want to play with it, and if not - just cut it all off. And it vapes HARD. I don't know about any problems, and I've dropped it a few times, screen didn't get crooked as with my Zmax, button didn't get jammedlike with my eVic, and the ring where the atomizer didn't pop out of place like it did with SEVERAL Bolts :p I love Bolts, my first 'mod' =]

I vape with M3s for a 1ml clearo, Valley View Vapes 8ml Boge carto tank, and a 2.6ml Protank

I'm probably going to go with a MVP II. Reason is I like that it has huge capacity and you can charge the battery while still inside the case. Only thing that could make it any better would be an onboard MP3 player.

I just had the same dilemma and after much looking through this forum I went with the svd. I wanted replacable batteries and the svd was generally regarded as a better built unit over the vamo. However there is a 5day lead on the svd vs the vamos next day for processing time. Price is negligable when looking at the SS Vamo V3 vs the SVD.

I can't comment on how I enjoy it yet though as its just shipping today

my one and only experience with FT so far...I order the vamo deal with the 2 18650 batts and i2 intellicharger..shipped quick..in my hands in 10 days..very happy vaping...BUT!!! after 2nd or third charge...I think charger is abit too on the warm side...ive had vamo just going on 4wks...to day...I got a scare today ..after being on charge just over 30mins ...I touch the charger...nearly as hot as putting your fingers on a stove top..then I realize power fuse to the house is blown...and the lights are burnt out on the charger...thank god I checked it when I did...it was charging in a safe bag..as im a aussie...I had to buy a travel adapter for the wall out let..weather this has anything to do with the charger heating up...I don't know... charger is going in the rubbish...hopefully ill have better luck with the EFest Luc smart charger from a local vendor..i just ordered...;)

+1 on the MVP. since they now are shipping the v2, there's nothing missing. Even for an extremely heavy vaper like myself, I can't kill the battery in a day.
I never wanted anything to do with it, even when I ordered it from FT. I got the first one just as a novelty kinda thing to play with. I didn't like the shape, it looked goofy, huge, etc...
then I got it and started using it. The shape actually makes it easier to store on a pocket, etc and it's not nearly as big as I thought it would be. I pretty much use it exclusively now and I have quite a selection of other stuff to choose from.
I have one complaint... the same old one that everyone has had from the beginning and that is the stupid switch sticking out of the bottom so it doesn't sit flat. I keep folded paper towel on my desk to sit my PV's on so they don't' scratch the desk top so that pretty much stops it from wobbling.
The MVP is a full inch shorter than the SVD in 18350 mode, it is thinner and just less than twice as wide.
I like the SVD also, but in 18650 mode, the thing is like a foot long with a clearo on it so I tend to use in in 18350 mode and you won't be getting a lot of battery life if that's the route you choose. I've got a ZMax, ZMax mini, Provari and Provari mini, SVD, Ego's, an X8 and a couple of MVP's just to give you an idea where I've been. I'm stuck on the MVP innokind.jpginnokina.jpginnokinb.jpginnokinc.jpg

I have one of the LUC chargers, it works really well. I felt a need to upgrade to the VP1 for some reason, but the LUC charger worked fantastic as well and I never had a heat problem, ever. the batteries were never warm. The only thing about it was the contact arms seems a little flimsy and can bend. You may notice because when sliding the arms against the spring pressure, they aren't real smooth. I used a cotton swab and put a dab of white grease on the slides where they move to smooth it up a bit and it worked like a dream for a very long time like that. I still have it in the drawer as my backup charger now.
I mainly wanted to control the charger output manually and the VP1 lets you do that. The LUC chooses automatically for you.

Use my fix for the button wobble. Takes no skills or special tools and all of about 3 minutes of your time. Several people have had good luck using this fix and no one has reported a a problem

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/variable-voltage-apv-discussion/449105-mvp-button-wobble-fix-easy-way.html

And let me add that I think the fixed battery format is a great first mod. Get an MVP as your solid every day device and then play around with some of the bigger changable battery mods.

I saw some pics somewhere where a fella had taken a cheap padded non slip cell phone mat like you'd use in the car and two sided taped it to the bottom with cutouts for the switch and USB. Raised it just enough to clear the switch.

Well I'll be dabbed... I never thought to just start jabbing at it with a pointy stick. Didn't even have to take a single screw out of it and it fixed it.

The 510 thread wore out on my Vamo.

The firing button is starting to misfire on one of my 2 SVD's

My MVP's are still going strong,no problems, both have had 50 or so recharges.

My black one went on a 3 day tramp(hike) and the charge lasted the whole time(red on return) dropped on the ground several times but performed fine.

Capt.shay's button fix rocks!

I need another mod like an extra hole in the head, but after seeing black Vamos this morning... :)

yes never get the intellicharger a lot of people have had bad experience with that
usually for just a few dollars more you can get the nitcore with better batteries

The Intellicharger i2 is a Nitecore. I got mine from Fasttech, not with a kit but it should be the same thing. It's been charging batteries daily and rarely is a battery warmer than the air temp. I'm a bit confused.

Glad I could help.

The good ole' pointy stick.

I bought a special tool and took it all apart, my friend and I were sitting there playing with it and I had an "Ah Ha!" moment. Put it back together and tried just pushing it down like I stated in the fix and suddenly it was all good.

I seriously can't believe they let the V2 out the door without fixing this but apparently they did. People have reported to me that the fix works just as well on the V2.
