I just changed a Protank head and it is a MAGNIFICENT vape! Clean and crisp and a better Lemon Pie flavor than I have ever had from this juice! I have a friend that had issues changing his and I was worried!

Sometimes you just get a replacement head that is just a dud out of the box. BTW keep your dead ones and duds. You might decide later to learn to recoil them (super easy to do) and you will have them to use. If you never decide to recoil them there are people here on ECF who no doubt would love to have them.

Definitely not. There are plenty of apologists that will keep them in business. Maybe some people see it as a lottery and hope they're lucky. I'm critiquing the business model. I placed my order assuming that I would need to wait. And, that's what I have been doing. I'm not saying that I can do it better. Or, I know how to do it better. I'm saying that I expect better results. I'm saying that customers shouldn't have to keep making excuses for fasttech. Why are we apologizing for them?

I order from another ecig supplier and have ordered from other hobby suppliers in China numerous times in the past.

Guess what? ITS ALL THE SAME! Its always been like this. Its also highly likely it will continue to be like this.

Its not just FastTech and its not just your order. So pretty much every business in China that we choose to do business with by mail has a flawed business model according to you.

Anybody have any dealings with this one? I assume it is a clone of the SmokeTech Magneto. I want to know what kind of rep it has as far as reliability/function/durability, etc. If I get good reports from you guys I will order it today so I can get it just in time for Christmas ;)

I do not expect China prices with quick shipping. I carefully laid out my point. I stated that I'm starting to think it's worth it to pay more for reliable shipping. I mentioned my experience ordering from popular vendors in North Carolina. One of those vendors stopped using ground transportation because it was less reliable. These are decisions a company makes. FastTech is very fortunate to have so many people defend them. USPS offers lots of different classes of service. A company can select a better class of service if the current packages aren't getting to their designation in a timely fashion.

I'm facing no hardship. I don't even need the stuff right now. I am not lodging complaints with FastTech. I'm simply coming to the realization that I made a mistake. I shouldn't have placed a $41 order for stuff I really didn't need just because it's cheap.

I had that same thing happen when I placed an order for a 40 dollar carto tank. I like my 6 dollar X8 better.

I am just glad we all have options. I got mad everytime I forked over 20 bucks for 30 ml of liquid. I was never satisfied. Finally I paid 25 bucks for 500 ml of unflavored 12 mg. Bought 20 dollars or so of flavorings. Lasts me 6+ months and tastes much better. Now I am going to start fiddling around with NETs.

I really am hoping this gets "sorted" out. My 8/26 package just updated today to supposedly be in my zip code (9/20). Regardless it being almost a full month i just placed another ~$150 worth of orders this week. Maybe it will get here in time for christmas. I like to fantasize that some guy is in a workshop somewhere handcrafting my tanks and battery tubes with nothing but a vise and screwdriver.

All the essentials I of course order within 3 states away... with the exception of MBV of course... wait and vaporbeast too.

I've got one coming in =] I'll let you know how she vapes

Anyone know of a good basic Hangsen or Dekang tobacco flavor that would mix well with menthol?

I vape Dekang Turkish [#1 favorite], Cigar, French Pipe, Virginia, and Dk-Tab and I can add menthol to any and get a delicious vape. I don't like to add it to the Turkish because the Turkish is DELICIOUS alone.

I'm critiquing the FastTech business model. FastTech is clearly executing their game plan. I carefully stated that. They get their products out the door. I question whether we should keep apologizing for FastTech like they're the victim. We can set the bar a little higher for FastTech. FastTech is clearly not monitoring what goes out the door to ensure it gets there. Every communication I've read from FastTech has them point the finger somewhere else.

I think that people thinking of placing their first order with FastTech need to get another perspective. FastTech owns this. They decided how to ship my product. I don't blame Hong Kong or Signapore Post or USPS or FastTech. I only blame myself. I placed my orders with a overseas company that I should have researched better. Who knows, maybe I'll order from them again some day. But, right now I find their business model to be unacceptable.

Right now the noise on this situation is centered on FT in the consumer e-cig realm... But the core issue is international mail/shipping coming out of China.

I expect a ripple effect to start impacting retail outfits globally within the next few weeks. Once they order to restock and start getting hit with multi-week delays for shipments coming from China. Demand is going to start piling up like parcels at the Hong Kong airport. Majority of all e-cig equipment is all manufactured in China.

Another disturbing element surfaced today via posts on FT's forum... They are wrapping Li-On batteries in multiple layers of bubble wrap... then wrapping that in aluminum foil to circumvent x-ray scanning at customs/security. If this gets caught... FT's whole operations could get shut down.

I have a feeling the whole industry is going to get impacted fairly soon...

Can you give any comparison between tab and Turkish? Tab is my adv, is Turkish similar as I thought tab stood for "turkish American blend".

That might explain why some of the more recent orders are flying through and the older ones are still hung up. The get scanned and no one sees a battery and it moves through. Those that look like batterys get held up for closer examination.

Thanks. This is good information. I'm new to ordering from China.

I used the shipping method that FastTech recommended:

Registered Air Mail FREE (10 to 14 days in transit typical) - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This was my first FastTech order. People have criticized me for choosing this option. The option was pre-selected. I would have had to override the option. But, why would someone do that. It's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. From there. someone routed my order to Signapore Post. I didn't request that. Who owns that decision? Not me. Signapore Post sent the package to New York. I suppose I should blame Signapore Post for doing that. Then USPS sent the package to Baton Rouge, LA. I suppose I should blame USPS for that.

Singapore Post and USPS never promised me a Rose Garden. FastTech was the one that set my expectations.

My apologies, found that thread right after posting my question. It seemed to get mostly good reviews but there weren't very many. Kind of funny that it is a clone of a clone :) Any further opinions, good or bad, would be much appreciated. I have decided I will never buy another mod again without asking the folks on this forum for their input.

How often do you use your spinners? Mine are a year old and still work wonderfully. I have three that I use back and forth to work and when going out. I also use them as backups when I am charging batteries for my SVD. The x350 just do not last long at all. The SVD seems to like them as an appetizer.

Turkish is much more flavorful than Dk-Tab, I am not sure if it is a stand alone recipe or if it is a mix of Turkish and the American flavorings. Dekang Turkish is like walking through someone's library with leather chairs, leather bound books, a glass of Cognac waiting beside an open book... and the scent of a delicious pipe tobacco immersed :/ I don't know how to describe the taste because it is tobacco... it may be too flavorful for some, but I love it =] I always vape it in the winter when I get into book reading mode or walking my dog with the grey skies overhead, puffing away and leaving scented clouds behind me.

I think people have them locked up in the hong kong post fiasco. If I get something that works great I never post about it. Only if someone asks. Mainly when I first started vaping a year + ago. I read and read for months on what to get. Every site had posts that these are great.. These saved my life. blah blah blah. Well, I finally figured out these were posts to get points to get free product. one big Amway chain.

After reading that link again I may grab one of those instead of the Nemy clone. Those Wooliston pics crack me up.

If you think about it.. these are all flash tubes modded. They all look similar. They are at the very basic a clone of each other. Basically you and taking current in a tube or box and send it to an atomizer. I laugh sometimes. Look at all the flash lights and their clones. Heck toasters or TVs.

If it works well and is safe? I don't care if Vinnie down the street made it in his underwear at 3:00 am in his garage while watching to Howard Stern while puffing down 6 packs of marboro's.

But man that name Wooliston cracks me up :)

Is this correct selection:

I worry about getting the correct item.

You are really NOT getting the point.
You keep trying to relate an in country business shipping practice with INTERNATIONAL shipping.
You keep trying to compare local shipping options readily available with CUSTOMS REGULATED EXPORT

These two are in no way alike on can one model the other.

You also seem to miss the point that ALL CHINA BUSINESS that handle orders which include Batteries and or Perfumy items are effected. We are talking tens of Millions in dollars being delayed, not just the few hundred thousands in E-cig equipment from one company.

This doesn't even count the Hundreds/Thousands of businesses in each Trade country that are effected by the back up in Export.

If I placed an order with FastTech right this minute I would get this option:

Registered Air Mail FREE (10 to 14 days in transit typical) - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FastTech knows better than any of us that this is not accurate. They know about the delays, but they offer no disclaimer stating you would be very lucky to see your order in 21 days.
