My SVD kit with heads, atomizers, batteries and a charger was ordered Thursday night. I received an email Saturday morning saying:
"Thank you for shopping at FastTech.com. We're pleased to tell you that order XXXXX has shipped!"
And it gives me a tracking number.
However, in going to the USPS site and checking that number, it tells me:
Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site. A return receipt after mailing may be available through your local Post Office.

Anyone know what that could mean? Should I even be concerned considering everything that is going on? I know I'm being impatient, but it's taken months for my accountant to OK the order. Now that I've placed it, I'm a bit anxious.

Your package has not hit US postal systems yet it is still in Hong Kong. Once it gets in the system it will start tracking. :)

it takes a day or 3 for a tracking number to work,,,,,,,

but expect your item to sit in HK for a while,,,,,they just had a typhoon and they've been behind due to some shipping issues,,,,,,

you might get it really fast,,,,,,,,,,but some of us have had items sitting in HK since the beginning of the month.

My last few orders took about a day for the tracking numbers to come online. With the storm, I can understand why this one is taking longer. What I'm wondering is if this is the symptoms people received when they had long delays or were they seeing movement before the stall? It looks like a lot of people here hit their wall before it ever got packaged at FT to begin with. Others showed it processed to the HK sort facility and then nothing for a couple of weeks. From what I can see, I'm not even in the line yet.

I know, I know. Be patient. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same experience I am where FT says shipped and then it vanishes.

Just received my order! The batteries were bubble-wrapped and then foil-wrapped, as people have already mentioned. I'm already charging them in the Nitecore and am about to fill up one of the iClear 30s it came with. The SVD's screen isn't so great, but as long as it vapes well I'm happy. Fingers crossed on that.

It took 11 business days from my order date to get here. That's within expectations.

Theres no problem with eGo batteries. I think the main issue they have is with loose cells.

Normal would be about 24 hours to go from "shipped" to "accepted" in Hong Kong. But things aren't normal right now. I just saw one an order take 4 days to get "accepted" after it was shipped. Once it's accepted, USPS should have some tracking status available. After acceptance, it could be anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks to be "processed" which seems to mean it's cleared outgoing customs and waiting for a spot on a plane.

eight weeks?

oy.

Yeah, considering that after those 8 weeks you can run into the same thing that could be a long wait.

But I understand their side when you figure most places say, "allow 6-8 weeks for delivery".

I know it may not be a good answer but have you considered ordering a second Vamo and hoping it doesn't get stuck?
I've got 2 Vamos and 2 eVics and could use more (I've really lost my taste for eGo batteries).

Assuming you got the charger kit that would give you a back up charger and backup batteries. If you already have batteries and a charger just the Vamo isn't that costly, especially the aluminum ones.

The Chi is AWESOME ... did you get the laser etched one? That's the one I have and it's been great, best switch of any of my mechs by far. Looks awesome with the FT ODDY on it.

I know, I know. I was just lucky to have ordered after they started using Singapore post. I'm a patient guy, but if I'd been waiting as long as some of you I'd probably be antsy as well!

Speaking of antsy, I keep checking every few minutes if my batteries are done charging. I want to use this baby already!

Ugh, the temptation.

My mech appears to have hit to have hit San Francisco today. My batteries and other pieces don't appear to be so lucky, despite having shipped a day or two earlier. I guess that's OK; I can get new batteries for the mech, but not the other way around...

...and just like that, it's been delivered!
:)

If you're on the fence about ordering one of the M16s in brass, and can afford to wait for it, GET OVER THAT FENCE! This thing is great! Granted, it's my first mech, but the build quality is rock solid (much better than I expected it to be), and the parts appear to be pretty well machined.

The 510 connector is spring loaded with a floating battery connection post. To use it, loosen up the battery, tighten down your atty, and then tighten the battery tube.

I think I'll want to add a drop of low or medium locktite to the tube/head & tube/switch assemblies so that they don't come undone when changing batteries. Aside from that, and possibly another dab of locktite to help keep the switch button / negative pin together (and at the proper spacing), this thing is ready to go!

Alas, I'm betting the batteries and everything else will be rejected or take a really long time to get here. That's OK with me though; those folks have some big problems on their plate right now. I hope those injury and fatality numbers don't get any higher.
