Hy folks, although I am aware about the shipping issues they have right now, I want to buy these
Trustfire 14500 IMR but I couldn't find any opinion about them in here. I'm not sure how many people have bought them, I'm just wondering how are they holding up?
The other option would be these batteries :
US14500V
wow, this thread just sails along!
I know a lot of people won't use anything with "fire" in the name, but I DID buy these
Trustfire 14500 IMR. I have been using them for almost a month now. I have a degree in industrial electronics, so I'm aware of the risks. These risks apply to all lithium batteries. The general idea is that the IMR batteries are "safer" due to the materials used in them. From what I have researched, this appears to be true. I only use IMR batts in mechanical devices to minimize these risks. I have been accused of "living on the edge", but I am a musician. It's just my nature I guess.
Any ways, I have really kept an eye on these as I have used them. I got six, and I charged them up. Every one of them charged to 4.1 volts the first time, and every time after. I get very good life from them so far. None have been hot from the charger. All perform as well as the IMR AW's (600 mah, red) I have. Although to be fair, I have had my AW's for a year now. The AW's have been worked hard, so I can't give a real comparison to a fresh one. I have a couple of new efest 14500 too. Somewhere in a review it was said they thought these trustfire's may be rebranded efest's. I don't know if that is true, but I can't see much difference in the performance of the efest's to the trustfire's. At this point, I trust them. I use them daily, and for what it's worth, I just ordered six more. I have an RH sprite, A true bagua clone, a RS ego, and a KSD novice on the way. These batts work well in all of these devices that I have, obviously I haven't tested them in the KSD ...yet!

.
It's just my opinion, but i wouldn't recommend running any 14500 battery with anything less than 1.5 ohms. I run 1.8 to 2.0 coils, and get a good balance of vapor performance to battery life. That's just me though. I save the dual coil, sub-ohming for the 18650's when I'm in the mood
oh yeah, the trust fires are 50mm so they where a little long for the bagua. They will still fit, but with a little gap. The AW's (48 mm)however fit it perfect.
