You have some bad luck. Almost as much as the cs and his frickin' mouse.

It's not a frickin' mouse, it is a computer mouse

is that mouse STILL missing?????????

I also received the gift cert. so I re-ordered. But frankly, I probably would have reordered the mouse any way, just out of spite.

Currently:

2013-11-30 00:00, Information Received (This is not an acknowledgment of the physical receipt of the stated Registered Article)

Now here is a jimmy kicker, I found it on Amazon yesterday for 12 cent more :)

I think having a FT order in the wind is almost healthy for me. It gives me something to focus my anger at and spares those around me.

Placed an order on the 16th, it got split into 2 as ProTank heads were on backorder at the time. Both packages shipped the 22nd. The heads started tracking on the 25th, and showed up at my door yesterday. The other package finally got marked RTS by HKP, and is still showing "Not Found" by USPS tracking. I opened a ticket w/ FT, and got the standard "Just be patient" line. 18 days and my order hasn't been accepted by the Post Office? They are redefining "patience"...

All my stuff, with 3 notable exceptions, come via SGP. To my knowledge, the packages are processed by the SGP office in Hong Kong, not in Singapore. At least my 30+ packages haven't been. From HK, the SGP office puts them on planes - "despatched to overseas". My stuff usually takes about 15 days to get to me, once "information received" shows up. I honestly have no idea how SGP ships to the US. It may be the same or it may not be.

The notable exceptions? 2 packages came through HKP and took 3 weeks just to be processed through security. One of those parcels ended up being returned to FT, for some unknown and probably arbitrary reason - no batteries or liquids. FT refunded me without even being asked.

The other arrived normally, just taking a bit longer. The third exception was an experiment I did to see if what Vapor Break was like. The VB package was shipped via Sweden, really did transit through Sweden physically and took 32 days before it arrived here in Israel. I was not hyper-impressed with the quality of the products I ordered either, so the experiment is not particularly conclusive.

OK, my conclusions?
Like Vapero, I am now a hobbyist and do not NEED what I am ordering. Do I want it??? Well, yeahhhhh. I must be the only little old lady in the whole Middle East with 2 MVPs, one SVD, a VTR (amazing...) a Bagua, a Chi You, a UCan, a drawer full of cool liquids and neat shiny stuff, and a Caravella, a kayfun 3.1 and a kayfun Lite on their way. For a tiny fraction of what it would cost me either to try to buy here (yeah, right) or buy in the US or Europe, with major shipping expenses. The time it takes is the time it takes. I can live with that. I have never had a quality problem that FT didn't resolve.

I would say that much of the "drama" we read about is...uh, to put it nicely, 'self-generated' by a kind of 'crowd hysteria effect'.

I don't want anyone to feel I'm attacking them. Some packages really did go missing, and travel round the world before they eventually landed where they were supposed to, or did get arbitrarily seized and returned when HKP was in full-blown security mode.

But a lot of issues were actually non-issues and came from unreal expectations, not knowing much about FT, or shipping, or how things worked, not reading stickies, not digesting information, thinking that a shipping date was an arrival date, playing 'follow-the-leader' when one guy starts screaming 'liar! scammer!" everybody else starts screaming...At one point in the forums I am sure there were shills from other companies starting fires and rumours.

If I hadn't read the forums during September and October, and hadn't known about tracking, I might not have realized there was even an issue with shipping...My Customs is perfectly capable of holding up packages for ever and ever, for no reason other than that they can.

At one point, I didn't dare even post that I'd got vapemail - it seemed tactless to say "yes, my parcel got here normally, thank you."

I really want Captain Shay's mouse to arrive :), Comma Holly's parcel to be recovered from the black hole it has fallen into... but I have no sympathy whatsoever for some posters over in the FT forums who simply throw temper-tantrums in the check-out line because their ticket/refund/shipment hasn't magically shown up within 3 hours and 4 minutes on their doorsteps. Who post threats of immediate sanctions if their demands are not met within 24 hours (on a weekend, in the middle of the night China time...:glare:)

Before tracking was generalized, back in the Middle Ages when I was young, you paid your money and then you simply waited. Now everyone runs around like chickens in a corn field yelling that their packages are still in Acceptance.

Nobody, thank goodness, is married to FT. It's a shop. If you're happy, continue. If you're not, for whatever reason, it's your money and you can spend it where ever you like on whatever you want.

I think I want to meet you.

I would suspect your tank cracking issues are more due to the type of juice you are using rather than the quality of the plastic tanks. Are you aware that certain e-juice flavors like cinnamon and citrus flavors are known tank crackers that should only be used in glass clearo's?

Also FT is fairly consistent in labeling Authentic gear when it is the case... the product description will say Authentic Kanger or just Kanger. Their knock-offs™ or clones will just state "Protank Style" with no reference to a manufacturer name.

I've never received any gear with the manufacturer name whited out... most cases it's just not labeled. I do agree with your sentiment on the drama, shipping messes and slow customer service process.

They were mini protank version 1's which were "glass" but I think the "glass" was not pyrex and thus developed stress fractures.

Also I have never used any tank buster juices. I simply prefer glass for the flavor.

As far as product description. When I first ordered them, they listed Kanger as the manufacturer and the pictures clearly showed the Kangertech labeling on them. My product came in what looked to be Kangertech boxes with instructions and marked with Kangertech markings. I later received genuine Kanger Mini Protank I's from an authorized reseller and noted several differences not only in the packaging but the construction.

The "Fastech" box listed filling the tank with between 1ml and 3ml of liquid where as the "genuine" box stated the 1ml to 1.5ml volume correctly. A real Mini Protank can't hold 3ml of liquid.

Also the Fasttech version of the protank was a few mm shorter and had less exposed glass. Some have told me that I may have gotten a "newer" version of the Mini Protank I from my reseller and that the Fasttech version is older. I'm can't confirm or deny that. All I know is that the 2 Fasttech versions of the tanks developed cracks within 3 weeks and the Mini Protank I's I received from the authorized reseller. hasn't had any of the issues I had with the Fasttech's. I noticed after I started having issues, that the listing for the SKU had whited out the manufacturers name from the pictures and whereas they used to list Kanger as the manufacturer, no longer do so.

Like I said, my vendor sells the Mini Protank 2 with the static drip tip and replaceable glass at for only a dollar more than the now discontinued Mini Protank 1, so it was a no brainer to move to the glueless model with replaceable glass. My remaining genuine mini protank 1's are now in their original boxes serving time as backups to Mini Protank 2's.

Needless to say, Although Fasttech had good prices, all the other drama just wasn't worth the effort.

Received an order yesterday, my largest to date:
3 mods (no logo Launcher, polished JM22, Pisces), 2 rebuildables (2x "V10" RDA) and 4 drip tips.

Ordered on 11/21, acceptance 11/23, delivered 12/2. New record for any order I've ever placed. Was in the states before Thanksgiving, spent 2 days in San Fran when usually it's just one.

In the interests of completion.

Sufie(a FT staff member) responded to a message I placed on the FT forum stating that the CS not honoring my request to change shipping methods was a mistake from the CS agent, and was possible(and quite simple as I figured it to be) and should have been done.

So, we shall see. Maybe I will be back. If they can find a shipping provider that doesnt send the packages on a 2000mile detour to a third country before sending them on to the US, then probably more so.

The Middle East is a loooooonnnng way from Kansas...

I could put a clause in my will to make sure you inherit my stuff, though :vapor:

Yes, yes it is. I would glaadly take your stuff after your passing I'd even come shed a crocodlile tear or two. LOL So what part are you in and how did you end up there? I would say you are most definitely American.

Hmmn, I may reconsider that clause and disinherit you...crocodile tears...(mutters imprecations through VTR-induced fog)

No, I'm not American, though I've been to New York a couple of times!

CommaHolly's right - I am Israeli, but have wandered around a bit. :)

Excellent Ref. What features of the VTR make it a winner for you?

It's a combination of everything. I also have a Semovar so I am not a wide eyed rube fresh off an ego. The VTR isn't as smooth a vape as the Semo, it's 48hz so it has a bit of the rattlesnake, but it provides good power and a good vape.

The build quality is very good, everything has screws holding it together, it is far heavier than a steel tube mod in 650 mode, the recessed tank makes it very compact, it fits perfectly in your hand or pocket without looking like a stray erection. Overall it's slightly taller and thinner than a pack of fags.

It just looks and feels right in the hand when you use it, takes an 18650 battery and a Protank. It's my going out Mod now, I also find myself using at home quite a bit. Some people will be put off by the weight (think tin of beans) but for me I like the heft.

Hi,
I have been lurking :2cool: this forum page for a while.

Noticed something today while I attempted to organize my vape gear - I seem to have developed a habit of buying a clone from Fasttech before I commit to the 'real' aticle. Very handy. Best example was "the Fogger" which led to purchases of "the Russian" (still my very favorite Provari atomizer) the Kayfun Lite Plus and the Taifun GT. On the other hand, buying the Caravella clone led to me losing interest in the actual product.

For anyone who is wondering about the company - my own experiences have been positive. (approximately 8 orders this year) I have had TWO issues - 1) The Oddy clone I ordered was garbage on arrival; 2) Recently, they have had issues shipping lithium batteries - BUT Fasttech does a fair job of communicating with customers and my refund was promptly credited to my Paypal acct. I have to say this - if you order something in-stock, expect it at your door in a week or less. If your order is larger, delivery stretches to 14 days or more. They seem to know who their e-cig customers are and will eat the postage hit and split your order so you have some product on the way to you. (I live in Seattle area, USA) I don't know if this is a problem, but their pricing on most mechs and atomizers tempts me to try things I wouldn't ordinarily consider buying, like RDA's and accessories like tools. One more thing - I have never returned a product but I can advise you to thoroughly clean out machine oils and gunk before you use your new mod or atomizer.

I kinda like the website too - though I wish they'd consider a site dedicated to e-cigarettes.

Keep on vaping - Doug.

That's very helpful - thanks.
