I wonder if contact is made only when the 510/ego connector is extended out like a pipe. If it makes contact and works in the upright/non-extended position, it would make a great gripper-style mod.

It'd be a weird design if contact was only made when the arm was extended. I haven't seen any reviews of it yet, but from the little hearsay I have read it should work no matter the position of the arm.
But it would work only with smaller batteries. The 18650 would be to big and block the access to the topper.
True, and you'd only be able to use thin tanks/cartos as well. Not a whole lot of RBAs or Tanks that are that small. I'd imagine an eVod would fit, but probably nothing bigger. The stock tank's going to be crap, of course.
It would be fun (and stealthy) in 18350 mode, adorable in blue.

Yeah, I looked at that pipe mod. It is interesting in that it appears to look like it would work as a gripper style as well.
The only thing holding me back is I would want to use it with say a slimmer carto tank, but I doubt it would work in a gripper config with even a 15mm tank. Maybe after some reviews and someone tests out what tops would fit, I may purchase it.

you could use that tip with the mini-clearo or any other ce4 type. These adapters are great. Very, very useful.

We have been talking about this over on the MVP owners group. I got one to fire at .8 ohms last week. It vaped NICE! I only used it a little and then disassembled. I have a letter in to innokin on the battery amp limits but so far have only received a canned Changlish response.

It's not the odd nightmare like yours, but when every post seems to be about a tracking number that hasn't moved for a few days it kind of overwhelming. I have a battery order that's been stuck for 6 weeks but I know it will arrive or be refunded so I don't feel the need to post 20 times about it.
