I imagine 4 boxes takes up more space then one box even if the 4 boxes are smaller. Plus there is the cost of boxes, labels and time to pack. Anyway you look at it it does cost more. I bet you if you asked the head of FT shipping if they would rather ship it in one shipment rather then four I could guess his answer.

None of this is really important to us because it is free to us.

EDIT: They are not losing money on the sale but they are losing profits on the bottom end.

Oh well, I've tried...:) In the final analysis, if you want to think it's 'free', so be it. It isn't, it is included in the cost of the item, but what does it really matter if you are convinced it's 'free'. Their business model covers shipping and handling, not to worry.

This being said, I am now going on a 'shipping post strike' and will only post about products. :vapor:

Tracking Information Expired
The tracking data on this shipment has not been updated in more than 10 business days.

This is not going well, order shipped from sender on Nov 27th. Just had one battery in the shipment too, a Spinner. I guess I should have just ordered that separately. Oh well. Gonna have to go to Surevapes to fill the cap on my coil heads I need.

I went ahead and ordered:

EGO 510-T Atomizer, Black / SKU: 1325010 $1.71
Atomizer for EGO / 510, Translucent (V5) / SKU: 1332304 $2.98
Pyrex Glass DCT tank Atomizer (3.0mL), Red (1.5 ± 0.2Ω) / SKU: 1396102 $5.70
eGo Beauty Rings for 2.0mL ViVi Nova, Black + Silver: 2-Pack / SKU: 1384603 $1.34
eGo Beauty Rings for 3.5mL (5-Pack), Multiple Colors(Aluminum) / SKU: 1498100 $2.95
510 to eGo Adapters, 5-Pack / SKU: 1473305 $4.41
510-X 400mAh Rechargeable Battery (Black) / SKU: 1401204 $5.30
Stainless Steel 510 Drip Tip 24mm / SKU: 1531900 $2.11
Stainless Steel Drip Tip for 510, 21.6mm / SKU: 1484001 $1.98
Stainless Steel 510 Drip Tip 30.1mm / SKU: 1521000 $2.38
Acrylic Round Mouth Drip Tip for 510 Acrylic, Blue + White Striped / SKU: 1494201 $1.55

Just a bit of this and a bit of that. Unfortunately, I didn't even think about the fact that I had a battery in my order until afterwards. But, it's just a skinny 510 type. So, hopefully it won't hold anything up.

One thing I've noticed about their drip tips so far. Every single one of the ones I've already received fit my 510 atties perfectly. About half of the drip tips I've bought in the US have been too big for my 510s. They're more the size for a 910 atty. Very frustrating.

Once this pkg gets far enough along, I'm thinking of ordering a Vamo and a kayfun Lite.

Has anyone bought one of the colorful anodized aluminum V2 Vamos? I can't decide between a fuschia V2 and a stainless steel V5. There's not much difference in price. However, the SS V5 is ugly and would cost extra for a wrap to make it tolerable to use.

After all, I mainly just want it for testing resistance on RDAs. The Vamo is the only mod I know of that will test the resistance without actually firing (and risking burning a cotton wick).

If you go to the confirmation Email, click on the link for tracking at the top and it will bring up your order there are links next to each item you ordered that allow you to cancel individual items. I would remove that battery.

I'm not sure I can. It says it's already shipped.

I've been going back and forth on that. But, I really don't know about having to keep AA batteries around. I did see a rechargeable meter somewhere (don't remember where). But, it was $30. For that much, I should at least get a back-up mod to go with it!

Just like for a flashlight, I plan to buy the flashlight attachment at Vapor Moon so I can use my mods and their batteries for my flashlight. I'm just more comfortable that way. I've always hated non-rechargeable batteries. And, I'm not sure about getting started with the other type of rechargeables for other things. I like things simple.

Here is a hint One of these (which are sold out right now...arrrgh) and a 14500 battery and the unit works just fine ;) $1.70 Coolook AA Battery Placeholders Cylinders (4-Pack) 4-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Here is my terribly unsafe "test" of that theory...it works like a champ

P.S. I have a set of those "placeholders" and not short out and 'splody 'splody piece of pencil wrapped in tinfoil in route...:D

Just to throw one more idea out there, the MVP and the VV 3 check ohms without firing. Not replaceable batteries but if you are only using them for ohm check and the occasional backup then they will last a long, long time. Available stateside at a real reasonable price.

Yep, I know for a fact mine will read down to atleast .4ohms, used it yesterday to double check a dual coil build. Obviously it would not fire but had no problems checking the resistance. I was shocked yesterday while I was building coils I built a dual coil that ohmed out to .9 using nichrome wire and the Mvp actually fired the coil. I did not fire it for an extended period of time but it did work on MY mvpv2 (checked several times until doing a new build never over a second or so several minutes apart), but still even though it fired I would not reccomend anyone using the MVP for this setup as this is not what it was designed for. I should have taken a video, but like I said I did not want to fire the coil for an extended period of time.

my 2 cents

The dedicated ohm meters are usually more accurate on the readings as the go to the hundredths place not just the tenths like the vamo
I hadn't really thought of that. I'm not sure how important it is to be that precise though. But, FT does have a cheap meter that reads both resistance AND voltage. Hmmmm, maybe. Do the AA batteries last forever in the meter (like they do in a tv remote)? Or, am I always going to be searching for new batteries that work?

Perfect excuse to buy an MVP2! Thanks! I hope 101Vapes still has them on sale next Tuesday (payday).

I have had one of the atomizer meters for over a year. I've never had to replace the batteries with moderate use.

Aside from being a very handy stand for rebuilding I prefer using it to check any misbehaving juice delivery devices. It takes the PV center pin issues out of the troubleshooting equation and only has the relatively tame AA batteries at risk in the highly remote case something goes horribly wrong.
