Hi all, long time no post :). Been pretty bz with honey do lists and Christmas, but hey who hasn't been right?

Got my JMcClone the other day, just now have the chance to check it out

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1512600
It took a month to get here (signpost), but not bad if one considers 'tis the season'. Even then I'll be using another shipping option in the future if possible

Everything with this one seems solid. It fires/ hits great. I really like it so far.

The finish matches my Ithaka spot on, though the diameter on the Ithaka is 23 mm, and the JM is 22 mm. The FT astro is 23 mm, so I'll likely be keeping the Ithaka on it instead.

The main reason I ordered the JM was to pair it up to my new Russian clone from VB (kayFTun lite). Of course it hasn't got here yet. I placed that order on Nov 25th(sent Sweden post). It JUST now arrived at NY ISC, so shouldn't be long now.

On another note, I had two orders backed up at HKP from Oct 21st. I had a ticket opened for them. I waited for the 8 weeks then asked for a refund. Amy was my CS agent. She told me that those orders didn't qualify for the 8 week refund somehow, so I had to call in the big guns :). I posted in the 'order support' section, and Sufie took care of it for me.

Just to clarify, I'm not upset at Amy at all. I do think she was trying to do a good job. All I'm saying is Ft has been some of the best CS i've had from any company. They have always done me right. From what they have had to go through lately, they are exceptional in my book.

So, what will I spent my refund on?........one of these!

https://www.fasttech.com/product/1552300

yeah, I know I already have one coming, but it was 'ships next day' and all! Couldn't resist. Besides, I'll have a frosted, and a polished to mix n match right? lol

Hope everybody had a great Christmas!

I am reaaaaally diggin' on the Sipik SK68, teeny little guy, can run on an AA or 14500 Li Ion, throws a bunch of light and you can focus the beam down to a tiny square or 100 yards out. It's bigger brother the Sipik SK98 run on a 18650. And let's not forget the Ultrafire 502B (you can find em cheaper on amazon)

What happened to your Mag light...bulb burn out? I have a solution for that too...found LED replacements for all my flange type flashlights...even my 18vdc handheld porter cable toolkit flashlight (you have to make sure you use the right voltage for the bulb) [the 1 watt bulbs are AWESOME for just utility work around the house or in the yard and the batteries will last freeking FOREVER because it doesn't eat batteries like incandescent bulbs, I have some 4C cell maglights I got for $10 threw some 1/2 watters...still haven't drained a set of batteries
B series | Specialty & Automotive | Universal LED Bulb Finder | Super Bright LEDs

Beleive it or not...FT has a BUNCH of really neat Cree style flashlights, drivers and even DIY drop-in module...however the best place to really find out about flashlights is head on over to the flashlight ultra-gurus at candlepowerforums these guys are the vaper fanatics of the flashlight world :D

I had the UltraFire SH98 sitting in my cart for next order. Actually been debating if I should order or remove from cart. I will go ahead and purchase with next order.

Nothing wrong with the mag light, I just thought maybe FT had a cheap Led that would work. I will pick up one that you linked to at superbrightleds.com.

Thanks,
Soupy

It was announced on the FT forum that some additional sale/discount would be in the newsletter. As I don't get the newsletter (even though I've ordered it) I'm wondering if anyone here gets the newsletter and has seen any such announcement.

Sucked that I didn't get the kayfun lite door crasher, but wasn't expecting too anyway :) Went ahead and ordered a chromed brass kayfun 3.1 (as it was "ships next day". Will order a ss lite later on), a ss hammer clone, a kick, and some other stuff. Will probably order a second SVD tomorrow.

i'm waiting the JM myself, i ordered the 3 tubes kit. can you review it a bit more please. cause i have to wait probably 15 more days since it gets here and the only reason i ordered it was to match it with the kayfun. ppl say it has a very weak spring. and some of the tubes don't fit very well, namely the 350.

By the way, if most of your order ships and one items is "awaiting shipping," go look it up. I had an order for which I had an e-mail that said one item was going to ship separately. (No problem, Amazon does that to my orders all the time.)

Turned out the color I wanted was out of stock. It took multiple e-mails and several days (mostly time zone and a little language confusion) to get a different color instead.

Good choice! I think you'll love it. Both the Kayfun 3.1 and the Lite are seriously good, really enjoyable bits of kit.

Yay..my 6 Sipik SK68 (from Amazon) came in today! I also have the UltraFire SH98 in an order still inbound from FT (need to see if I can find some old "recyclable" laptop batteries and get the cells out of them for it)...along with a DIY tube and drop in module coming in

Honestly I like these little Sipik SK68 flashlights...gonna have the bigger brother for longer burn time, the SH68 on AA run about an hour or so but only 30-40 min on the Li Ion 14500 but are substantially brighter...but they are so small they fit easily into a pocket.

For the price they can't be beat

Sure! Well I just got the chance to 'play 'with this today. After a few hours with it, I can tell I like it a lot. It has a good weight /feel to it. Not too heavy, but solid and study. I love the brushed finish. It has that brushed texture that doesn't feel like its 'slipping' in the hand all the time.
I like this type of finish too for the way it hides finger prints and dings. One can always 'scotch brite' it back to shape as well.

The firing pin is 'floating' and made of brass. It has a knurled nut on it to adjust for batt rattle. This feature is good, works as it should I suppose. The nut isn't overly lose or tight with this one, but it could get lost if ones not careful.

The tubes on this kit where all uniform. Vent holes where all the same size, threading clean, etc. I checked each tube with both top cap and switch, both ways (top and bottom). Everything worked smooth and as they should. 350 tube with an efest flat top works great with the fire pin adjust nut down. Should work equally well with button top batts too. 650 tube is the same, works well with the adjustment feature. I tried the FT kick with the 500 tube. It will work I guess, but the cap and switch will not thread all the way in (not even close really). I probably won't be using it with this mod. Someone else on the discussions was asking if this tube might be short, makes me wonder the same thing.

As far as I've used it, it seems to fire well and consistent. I can't wait to get the kayFtun on it.

The switch, well the spring is a bit weak. I have a spring kit I picked up at lowes, and I'm sure I will find something to stiffen it up some. I haven't got that far today. lol. Honestly though, it isn't that big of a deal to me. I really don't care if it fires when I stand it up without locking it as much as I like it to fire when I push the button if that makes sense :). The best thing about this mod is the way it only takes a 'flic' to lock it. The lock ring threads are nice.

I had seen a post that claimed the lock ring was aluminum. Maybe someone got one, but this one is plated SS (it passed the magnet test). I was happy about that.

In conclusion, I'd say it was well worth the 20 bux spent. I think the new stock that Ft has right now has the bugs worked out. Hope yours arrives soon and as good as this one!

edit: I forgot to mention the only negative. The top cap 510 threads on this one 'acted' a little funny for me. It was very finicky to thread the Ithaka on. I had to be careful that it didn't cross thread getting it on. It also got 'stuck' trying to unscrew it. I had to start over and apply outward pressure as I turned it off. It has got better the more I do it. Just a heads up. I most likely got a 'slightly off' threading issue, but its not enough of an issue to worry. It will calm down the more I use it

Loving that rig with the AGA-T2 on top...VERY smooth looking! (just need to get you a brushed stainless drip tip for it :p)

Mine on "The Natural" with a kick in it at 8 watts runs great (18500 + kick in the 18650 tube)...takes it a second to warm up and pump out the vape..but MAN OH MAN the flavor!!! woooh!

Thanks! After all the luv that this has got, I was sold :). I love the Ithaka, but it looks like this one will do the job just as well without as much fuss. I can't wait to get it in my grubby hands

yeah, that would tie it in very nicely! I think I know where to get one. lol. The AGA-T2 does look tight on this. Better than my pic in person. Sorry about the pic quality, I'm working on a better lighting/ back ground stage for future 'ranger reviews' LOL. Well and vape porn hahaha. I can't let lisa out do me ALL the time. LOL

I almost bought me a 'natural'. I've heard it is a solid piece of hardware.

Yeah, one one on FB...was absolutely floored when I got it...so outta my league...

I'm the quintessential "budget rig" kinda guy (also a purist...pain jane...no frills, no spills)...so when I got this I was like wow...moving on up from the Chevy S-10 to the Denali type shock...and it's plain but gorgeous...I can just imagine what my Caravela w/ matching RBA will look like, all that bling!

Awwwwwww! I don't outdo you... you are taking your time and choosing the right vape gear for you! Me, I want to try anything that appeals to me and in doing so, I find a lot of poor quality mods. Luckily, I shop at FastTech, so I can get 5-40 items for the price of one high end mod =] Suits me just fine, especially since I can often return what is defective and get more gear!

Vape rotation this AM - https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10004594/1545300-authentic-innokin-itaste-mvp-v1-0-variable with the clear HC GS-H5 3ml [uses a protank atty] with some FastTech Hangsen RY4 https://www.fasttech.com/p/1393318, FastTech Pisces with the FastTech iATTY holding a DIY Corundum [not even close but very good all the same], and finally, this new Hybrid Elite I got off of the classies.

vmpr8m.jpg

I didn't like the Hybrid when I got it. Too WHITE... too LONG...but I cleaned it up since I knew it'd never been used by the previous owner, and sat looking at it since I wasn't sure I'd be keeping it. I messed around with it a bit, thought it was so lightweight that the size didn't matter, it fit together perfectly... so, I coiled it up - it doesn't fit on my oHm meter https://www.fasttech.com/p/1504904, so I used a tried and true FastTech pre-coiled wire https://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10004596/1475303-replacement-wicks-and-wires-for-rebuildable to be safe, tested it on another topper and then put it on the Hybrid. Used the sample of Strawberry Cupcake my classified buddy sent me... and... OMG! Hubby came home and asked 'Where's the strawberry shortcake!?!?! Vaped a good bit of it!

So, I'm really loving this Hybrid now. So light that my hands haven't demanded that I switch to something lighter, heavy hitting machine that needs shallow inhales or the nicotine comes through harsh, and I paid 2x as much for it from the classies as I did from my old friend Fasttech https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10006690/1523906-elite-hybrid-mechanical-mod-kit

Oh well, I got it in a few days and I'm liking it quite a bit now =]

By the way, the Natural... pretty heavy hitter, I'm not fond of the button placement, so mine doesn't get much use. I'll put it on the classies with some others when I decide what part of the herd I want to thin out for sure... I try to rotate them to make this decision, but I never quite get to the classified stage LOL

Tracking says my Rocket is out for delivery! That was going to be my last order with fasttech except my brother-in-law, a heavy smoker who just had his tongue biopsied, admired my little itaste EP so another one ordered, oh yes. My BIL already has an APV he uses alternately with cigarettes and I'm sure his taste buds are just dead but I hope he enjoys the EP.
