I ordered this Poldiac $19.26 Poldiac Mechanical Mod - removable top cap at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping on 10-28-2013 because I LOVED THE LOOK OF IT! Gorgeous!!! DELIVERED November 6, 2013, 3:34 pm, so I have had it plenty of time to have an opinion. Someone PMd me to buy it. I was looking at it and decided to give it another go. I was making a list of what PVs I don't use, what I paid, what their specs were, and I got to this prissy Poldiac.

Still a little weak, pretty much like an eGo vape with a rba... can't get a mini-Protank on her, can't get a CE4 on her, so not much you can do with her if she won't fire up a rba :/ Why is everyone lying on the fasttech review? Why is everyone saying it is so great? Are they noobs? It's pretty, but it's not a heavy hitting mech...

and then I pushed the button in HARDER...

I made FULL CONTACT with the button and OMG!!!! This prissy little mech stretched it's wings and a HEAVY HITTING MECH came alive! It's been sitting gathering dust for months because it was a sorry vape and then I hit that STIFF BUTTON and it became a BEAST!!!!

Sucks to have arthritis, but I'm keeping it now regardless LOL Going to call her Phoenix =]

Ah, dare I ask what they did to you?

Well, they didn't harm me in any way if that's what you were thinking. I DO still have all my teeth. :)

They're just too cold all the time. I'm talking specifically about the X9. Heavy and cold hearted, two qualities i've grown to dislike in a atty.

Well been waiting for my IGO W and L from the Dec 9th. Definitely miss my 6 day shipping times previously. I figured I would order a W from the states. Not sure if the Fasttech is a clone or an original, not sure it really matters. I have not received my FT ones yet.

I tried 5 coils on the one from the states (genuine) and all 5 coils kept reading "non" on my SVD. They looked good on a multimeter. I tried to raise the post on the SVD, then I would get 2.7O to 7.9O then finally "non". I decided to wait and try again. A few days later I wrapped a decent semi micro @ 2.4 on the multimeter. 7 wraps of 32g A-1. Again "non". So I contact the google oracle who said "Well did you take a hammer to the inner post and beat that sucker down". Well grabbed a tack hammer and gently whacked it. Hmm nothing. So gently whacked it with more force. Nothing. Finally just whacked it... that moved that center pin. After 2 hours of beating that sucker with a hammer, I finally got it to where it would register on the SVD and my other devices would register too.

My point... Well I guess I was under the false impression I would be able to get a "genuine" device and it would work perfectly out of the box. It will be interesting to see if I have the same issues with the FT ones. If they every make it.

True... we are a new industry with limited regulation. No government entity overseeing anyone and slapping them down because they have arsenic in the metals used to build drip tips or rat poop in our juices LOL Kinda scary, right! :p

Anyway, I am a cheapskate, so I buy cheap and watch the videos to fix whatever I have... small price to pay to be in on this new industry and play with these cool devices =] I have the IGO W, but I got it in the classies, so someone else may have already fixed it... $6.46 IGO-W Stainless Steel Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - silver / 1.6ohm / adjustable resistance / double heating wires at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Awwwwwww! I don't outdo you... you are taking your time and choosing the right vape gear for you! Me, I want to try anything that appeals to me and in doing so, I find a lot of poor quality mods. Luckily, I shop at FastTech, so I can get 5-40 items for the price of one high end mod =] Suits me just fine, especially since I can often return what is defective and get more gear!

Vape rotation this AM - https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10004594/1545300-authentic-innokin-itaste-mvp-v1-0-variable with the clear HC GS-H5 3ml [uses a protank atty] with some FastTech Hangsen RY4 https://www.fasttech.com/p/1393318, FastTech Pisces with the FastTech iATTY holding a DIY Corundum [not even close but very good all the same], and finally, this new Hybrid Elite I got off of the classies.

vmpr8m.jpg

I didn't like the Hybrid when I got it. Too WHITE... too LONG...but I cleaned it up since I knew it'd never been used by the previous owner, and sat looking at it since I wasn't sure I'd be keeping it. I messed around with it a bit, thought it was so lightweight that the size didn't matter, it fit together perfectly... so, I coiled it up - it doesn't fit on my oHm meter https://www.fasttech.com/p/1504904, so I used a tried and true FastTech pre-coiled wire https://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10004596/1475303-replacement-wicks-and-wires-for-rebuildable to be safe, tested it on another topper and then put it on the Hybrid. Used the sample of Strawberry Cupcake my classified buddy sent me... and... OMG! Hubby came home and asked 'Where's the strawberry shortcake!?!?! Vaped a good bit of it!

So, I'm really loving this Hybrid now. So light that my hands haven't demanded that I switch to something lighter, heavy hitting machine that needs shallow inhales or the nicotine comes through harsh, and I paid 2x as much for it from the classies as I did from my old friend Fasttech https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10006690/1523906-elite-hybrid-mechanical-mod-kit

Oh well, I got it in a few days and I'm liking it quite a bit now =]

By the way, the Natural... pretty heavy hitter, I'm not fond of the button placement, so mine doesn't get much use. I'll put it on the classies with some others when I decide what part of the herd I want to thin out for sure... I try to rotate them to make this decision, but I never quite get to the classified stage LOL

You know I'm just ribbin ya :). I always like seeing your pics. You have some really cool gear. You always give an honest opinion too.

Thats the best thing about ECF. You can always find someone thats willing to help if you have a question or need advice, but the best part is just reading/seeing someones personal experiences with it. I get a lot more from a 'review' that way.

For instance, that hybrid you have now. I've been looking at those, (and I think they look slick!) but I didn't think as much about them until I read what you had to say about them. To me, it seems this mod is you. Light weight, easy on the eyes (and hands), and from what I read about them, they work well. I may even consider one in my future. I appreciate the info! The main thing is 'does it work for me'. Its worth what ever you paid if it does.

Of course, I want to contribute too where I can. I'm learning how to post better pics for now! :).

If / when you decide what you will part with. Let me know. Make sure you get a fair price for you gear (don't just give it away). PIF is ok but most folk don't mind paying a fair price for good gear. (I know you take really good care of your things too)

My guess is a little Noalox or similar on the contact areas of the switch will reduce the amount of pressure necessary to fire her. :)

I am a cheapskate with vaping. For a habit that at one times I would snuff out with the bottom of the shoe, I don't see the excitement of a 100 atty or 200 device. Quite honestly, I don't see that big of a deal in dripping vs a bcc. I try to reason logically how they could be different. The each have a coil with 7 wraps and have the same cotton going though. How can a person say that they are different? After a week I am still pondering that. Maybe it is the air channeling through.

I bought some 25 dollar bottles of liquid, just to see if I have been missing anything since I started to DIY. Newp not really. One of theirs tastes almost exactly like one of mine. Maybe its just me.

Yes.. one of the reason I DIY is of no regulation, not to say it is fool proof. Yes I have that W on order... I think they are still getting the pig iron together.

See! Hitting things with a hammer DOES work lol. (now where's my Wife ...she needs to read this :))

Seriously, quality takes a back seat to most things 'produced' today. One needs to research as much as possible on products. Even then there is always the chance of getting a bad one (my luck). Most times it's a simple fix though. As far as FT, most of the things I've got there has been of good quality, and worked as it should. Just remember Ft only sells what others make. They only have so much control on things like that. I do believe however, that they try to keep a good handle on what they sell.

As far as the difference between ready-made and coiling your own, I got into coiling because I wanted to save some more money. Instead of throwing away 'cheap' cartos and CE4s, I have a Killer carto that I can coil, Protanks I can re-coil, and now the other RBA and RDAs =] With using silica, ekowool, cotton balls, and the like... people say that some taste cleaner, different, whatever. I started with silica but I am wary of it because it breaks and floats around in the juice and I remember seeing a film when I was a kid about swallowing gum, hair, fingernails and all of these 'things' they found in kids... I imagine lungs with silica spikes LOL I've vaped braided cotton that is used to wick candles because I can't get regular cotton balls down into the little holes of a RBA LOL Maybe it tastes SUBTLY different, I can't tell - my taste buds are fried from 30 years of menthols LOL

DIY juice is a GREAT IDEA because you can make juice at $0.07 a ml! Problem is, my juice usually sucks LOL BUT! I have tried that expensive juice that everyone was ranting about and I have gotten high dollar juice thrown in by pals in the classies =] It's never as great as everyone claims... I did like Pluid, it was tasty! But, MBV does me fine with my extra flavor shots =]

I did buy some Gizzard and some Goose juice from this place... I hope it's good because I want some 'special' juice that I ration now and then as a treat for myself =] If it's just average, I'm going to send a GC to my buddy in the classies who sent me this DIY Strawberry Shortcake =] I'm on my 2nd 5ml tank LOL

Ha! My philosophy.. If the hammer doesn't work... You need a bigger hammer.

Been ordering from FT for several months. Have gotten some stink bombs and some gems. Not sure I will place another order. If so I will have to plan 45 days in advance. Let's just say that type of planning is not my strong suit.

I received the AIOS yesterday - It was fun to take it apart and get to know it :) Here it is, in the mode I got it for: dripin on my Chi and I also included a pic of it with my Zenesis Standard to see the nice compact look of the Chi:

FT's IGO-W $6.46 IGO-W Stainless Steel Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - silver / 1.6ohm / adjustable resistance / double heating wires at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping is not very close for a clone. For one, the posts don't have holes in the sides for attaching resistance wire. You have to use the screw heads. Aftermarket 22mm caps designed to fit on the real IGO-W won't fit, if that matters to you.

The newer one $4.99 IGO-W Style Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - triple-post / 1*airhole at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping does have side holes in the posts, but only one air hole. I haven't had an RDA or RBA from anywhere that didn't need the air holes drilled out to meet my needs so this is nothing new for me. I haven't heard if aftermarket IGO-W caps will fit, but I doubt it. I've actually bought a single air hole IGO-W replacement cap for more than this, sometimes one coil is enough. Actually, one coil is usually enough if you know what to do with it.;)

I've also had problems with some of these center pins not going down far enough to make a connection on some APV's, most mechs have adjustable 510 connectors making this a non-issue. It doesn't take hours of whacking with a hammer, 2 hits at most should do it. 99.9% of RDA center pins (actually placed in the center) are held in with a delrin grommet/cup. Put the RDA on a mod, preferably a mech with battery removed, unscrew it a few turns, then tap the top of the center post a couple of times. Alternatively, you can do this with the RDA off the mod by unscrewing the post screw a few turns and pushing down on the RDA when it's upside down... you'll want a hard, non-metalic surface for that.

I'm not the only one that wishes FT sold replacement post screws for the RDA's. Those Allen key/hex wrench post screws are the worst. They're all the same size diameter and threading, you can get phillip's head replacements at KP and other places for pretty cheap... 10 pack for $2 (+shipping). I'm not trying to take away from the FT experience, but 2 packs of 10 screws has saved me hours of agony. Better post screws can turn a $5 FT atty into something that rivals the competition, and on a serious budget.

Edit:
Which devices does the AIOS fit on? I ask because I have a SS Chi You from fasttech on the way and thought it might look nice
The AIOS fits the Chi You, hybrid style. Enjoy!

Question...per this image...the wick hole looks a wee bit small...did you drill it out? (genesis style wick right?)
1523906-3.jpg

oh nm..I see the hole, the black semi-circle right under the gold center pin nut...what is that 2nd countersunk hole then?

actually a ok looking mod...the lines flow smooth

You can barely see the wick hole, it's behind the center post, to the right of the negative screw. You observed correctly. The counter sunk hole is the fill hole. I'd be afraid of semi-burnt juice going back into the tank without a plug for that but that's just me. The other tiny hole might be there to allow air to enter the tank if the fill hole is plugged, otherwise I don't get it either.
